This was a super enjoyable omakase experience. I came for lunch with a friend and got the deluxe…read moreset (standard is $49 + $10 for wagyu course). The fish was all delicious and all had some kind of unique topping, and some were also torched. Each piece was truly one bite and I preferred this to the bigger nigiri that eats more messily. Typically at sushi places I stick to salmon, tuna, and yellowtail, so I had some reservations about whether I would like everything, but really everything was tasty. Some of my favorites were the appetizer yuzu yellowtail with microgreens, and then amberjack (who knew!). The wagyu had a truffle topping and it was a great piece but I am not sure it was necessary and next time would probably just opt for the standard classic set. The waitress was very friendly and the chefs checked in throughout the meal and seemed to care that we were enjoying the nigiri. A few times we were asked if we wanted add on ons (drinks, and then sushi add ons later). I would have preferred if the menu was just maybe left without explicit solicitations to order more. But other than that not sure anything could have been better. The restaurant is simple, understated, and minimalist. Though right on a busy street the outside is so narrow and understated that it would be easy to walk by every day and miss this place. Would highly recommend for an extremely good and reasonably priced omakase experience.

We made reservations for the lunch omakase (got the one with Wagyu so it was about $59) - there is…read morea $10 add lunch special if you get a beer or sake (my husband got the orion beer). There were around 9 courses and then we got the waygu piece bc we picked the $58 omakase - otherwise it is $49 for the 9 pieces. I think there are other places that def give you more pieces for the price. The appetizer was monkfish liver with some salad - the monkfish liver was okay - def needed the sauce otherwise it would have been dry. I enjoyed the king salmon and otoro pieces. Overall I think the fish could have been fresher. Staff was very friendly and attentive!

Pretty reasonably priced omakase; some pieces were really good, some pieces were just okay. The…read moreinside is really cramped though and theres barely and space between you and the other parties. The pieces of sushi are served really fast though which is nice. I wasn't really a huge fan of the appetizer to be honest - the set of 3 all tasted pretty mediocre (the cod tasted a bit old, the yuzu did not pair with the fluke) and the snow crab tasted like store-bought crabmeat with mayo. So overall, was disappointed with these. As for the nigiri - most of them were pretty good. The fish was good quality and the one that really blew me away was the uni don - the uni and roe were EXTREMELY fresh, blew my mind. It was the best uni I had in a while. The wagyu handroll was also delicious and decadent. The last handroll - hamachi handroll - was a bit flavorless though. Dessert was good - a really light matcha pudding that was the perfect way to end the meal. Overall, I enjoyed my experience but not sure if I would come back. Note: they will charge you for water unless you ask for tap. That was an unexpected surprise on my bill

Booked a reservation on Resy for a special birthday dinner. Glad I came and strongly suggest a…read morereservation as it was consistently busy on a Sunday night between a few lucky walk-ins and reservations. No shows, cancellations or changes to the number in your party get charged $50 per person, so just be sure everyone confirms first. Great hospitality from KC and the sushi chefs on all ends. The atmosphere felt very welcoming and they are invested in ensuring you're comfortable. The type of water youd like to where you can sit to whether or not the courses are to your liking are their concerns. They ask questions regarding dietary restrictions in a way that seemed very concerned and they tailor your experience based off this. Definitely be honest about likes and dislikes. I like that not everyone in your party has to choose the same dining options. However, I strongly recommend the 18 course omasake as there are so many delicious courses. I should have opted for the 13 course as I was well full by the time the 14th course came out. I made due and shared some with my party but I felt bad as it was all so tasty. My top three favorites were the scallop with shaved foie gras, the exquisite red fish with marinated trufle mushroom, and the uni bowl and lastly the freshwater eel was like biting into a velvety dream of tasty clouds. Divine. The birthday star was especially looking forward to that wyagu course and did NOT leave disappointed. They also made a "sushi cake" for him right before our dessert that came with a candle and was a nice touch. We did not feel rushed and were done in about an hour and a half. Decor is minimal but very intentional, as is everything about this place. The exterior is simple and unassuming but the quality is all there. It felt like a fancy dinner party hosted in a friend's home as opposed to a random restaurant in the upper west side. I'd definitely return.
