Shrimp Tempura Appetizer, make your own Poke Bowl.

The Poke Zone in Edgewater is our favorite spot for sushi and sashimi . The sushi and sashimi are always fresh and delicious. The menu has a wide variety of soup, salads, sushi, sashimi,, maki and hand rolls, special rolls, poke bowls and make your own poke bowls. The staff are friendly and the service is quick. Prices are reasonable . If you're in the area you must try Poke Bowl.

2023 roll and fantastic roll

Just had a 3 course meal for 2 for like 60ish bucks--local, friendly, family owned, and tasty. Stopped in after getting drenched in a thunderstorm and was offered some hot tea. It was deliciously fragrant and built up my appetite. We started with the age' tofu and shrimp shumai. The shumai was nothing out of this world but I loved the fried tofu squares with the dipping sauce. Next, we ordered 2 special sushi rolls--fantastic roll and 2023 roll. VERY good. I still wasn't full so I ordered a tonkatsu ramen with pork belly. Our server thought I was going to share with my husband so she brought an extra bowl, haha! I gave him a bite and I enjoyed the rest. Our server made sure my teacup stayed full, very cool! I then ordered a lychee fruit juice with popping boba to-go and we headed off to run errands around town. There are about 4 table inside--it's a great quick little lunch spot or perfect for takeout.

Spicy Tuna - Philly Roll - Alaska Roll

New-ish spot in Edgewater! Picked up a to-go order and got a few rolls and the Fried Chicken Wings with Thai Chili sauce. The wings were not something I would order again however the rolls are. Specifically I got a Spicy Tuna Roll...a Philly Roll and an Alaskan Roll. All 3 were delish and full. I did ask for extra ginger and no wasabi (but there was wasabi in there so I took it out). I will be trying more items from there soon - not so sure about the apps but more rolls for sure. Glad they are in the neighborhood and looking forward to my next order.

It's been years since I last ate at Jin Ramen, and on a weekend evening I found myself looking for dining in the neighborhood which led to a stop by here for takeout. Ordering online was easy, their website provides clear descriptions of each item with prices. They're available on almost all online platforms as well (Seamless/Grubhub, Caviar. DoorDash etc). Food was ready in 30 minutes, securely packed to go. Prices are definitely in the higher side and inflation hasn't helped. While the portion size is quite generous with plentiful chunks of tender chicken, caramelized onions, shiitake, scallions and tomatoes, $28 felt like a lot to pay for the Pollo Encebollado Ramen. The broth reminded me of a light salsa verde and was a flavorful albeit imo slightly too salty take. The chicken was delicious and definitely a highlight of this bowl. The Chicken Nanban $15 appetizer came with eight pieces of fried, marinated chicken, glazed in a tangy sauce. While tasty it was somewhat generic. The Kuro Shio Ramen $23 was a lighter broth, with several sizeable pieces of chicken, more of a classic flavor profile here with a tad hint of citrus and chili. The poached egg was cooked perfectly. I might return if in the area though wouldn't go out of my way to drop by.

I'm not sure how they do their rice, but this specific roll with the rice on the outside of the nori-- it made the rice so sticky and soft. Usually I find that rice with my sushi rolls have a noticeable grain texture. This rice was so smooth and soft it was absolutely delectable. I hadn't expected to finish off all 12 of the rolls. They were supposed to be part of my lunch for tomorrow! The price is about what you'd expect for the location. I was able to enjoy UberEats pickup and one of their very lovely offers for a student like me who often struggles with money but can't help but indulge from time to time. I cannot speak of the service or the ambiance inside as I did not dine in, but every time I pass by I always get the urge to visit. Such a scrumptious ramen we had in the city!…read more Something about being in NYC requires a hot bowl of fresh ramen in December- I don't make up the rules! Seating was prompt when we arrived around 1:30pm, service was hospitable and also decently quick considering the hot steaming bowl of food served. We started off by ordering some appetizers. I ordered the Shishito peppers, a couple buns, one with pork belly, and one with shrimp and the spicy wontons. I also ordered the lycheetini and the hot green tea. We really enjoyed the appetizers!! I really love Shishido peppers and none of them were too hot so that it wasn't enjoyable. They were charged perfectly with some flavor full flakes. The buns were absolutely delicious as well. I have to say the pork one was my favorite. The shrimp tempura was very crunchy, which was delicious, but the flavor of the pork was just Worth highlighting. I ordered the tan tan Ramen and added corn on the side. My husband got the same, and we both absolutely devoured our bowl left nothing behind. In fact, my husband actually ordered an extra order of the delicious egg noodles that came with our soup. The heat level was perfect. My brother ordered the Takatsu Ramen and he also really enjoyed it. Although at the table, we did not note any chilly oil or anything to add a little heat to his liking so I think if anything he would've preferred the Tantan Ramen. I have to say the lycheetini was not as flavorful as I am used to. My brother's girlfriend ordered the pineapple alcoholic beverage and we all agreed that that was much better. I liked how the restaurant also offers plenty flavors of Japanese fizzy sodas in the glass bottle with the glass marble. I thought the hot green tea was complementary. It wasn't but for four dollars it definitely helped keep us warm and the green tea utilized appear to be very high-quality. The only thing I could possibly mention was that it appears that the restaurants sanitation rating is still being reviewed. I did not witness or experience anything that made the sanitation concerning. Only one bathroom, which is not the restaurant's fault but just worth noting because after Long walks in the city sometimes all you need is a quick restroom break in a hot bowl of Ramen This restaurant is absolutely worth the high ratings that YELP provided it and I'm really happy that I found it and we were able to enjoy one of the classic meals we look forward to during our city trip.

The pork chashu was creamy, the noodles had a good chew, the yolk on that boiled egg was expertly firm yet gooey. This is certainly a great date-night spot paired with an evening at the Moma. I'd come here again, and if I were hosting out-of-state guests hankering for a bowl of hot ramen, I'd definitely take them here.

My partner and I visited twice during our two night stay. The first day, we arrived on a Saturday at 3:35pm and I thought because it was mid day there would be no line. I was wrong. The line ended up taking about 15 minutes to order at the kiosks, and about another 10 minutes to be seated. The wait was very similar on the second day, even though we arrived around 6pm. The first day, we separated our tickets and the person behind the counter took our tickets. We ordered 2 Asahi Draft Beers, 2 Classic Tonkotsu Ramen + Topping Set Combos, Matcha Pudding, and a Premium Yakibuta which ran about $108.88. During our meal, we also added on 2 Matcha draft beers @ $12/beer. My highlight for this meal was the Premium Yakibuta. This is not something I would regularly order, but I'm so glad we did. It was tender, flavorful, and complemented the ramen really well. Another thing I really enjoyed was the matcha pudding. This was creamy, and had a great matcha flavor with a bouncy texture. On this day, I felt as though the broth tasted a little watery, but as I got down to the bottom it tasted like I had remembered. Maybe I just didn't mix it enough. On the second day, we ordered two Classic Tonkotsu Ramens, 2 draft beers, 2 eggs, and a matcha pudding. This ran us about $86. This time, I changed my customization to reflect a richer broth and it hit the spot! I'm thinking that's what I used to order when I visited Japan because it tasted exactly the same. I'm glad I was able to perfect my order, so that I can remember it for next time. Eating in the little cubby is its own experience. I personally enjoy how if you need something, you click the button and the staff comes to you. It's also nice to be able to open the partition wall if you want to eat with your party. Unpopular opinion, but I preferred to sit in the basement because they have little hooks to put your bags next to your legs rather than on the wall behind you. Overall - 10/10 experience and I will gladly eat here every day if I could!
