Wow! So happy to have found a good thai place near me. I've been eyeing this spot for a few weeks and finally decided to go in. I got the Kimao noodles with pork and I was very impressed. Such good flavor, texture, and quantity. The service was a little short but nothing that made me upset, they just seemed a bit hasty. Very nice interior and cozy atmosphere on a cold winter day like today. Honestly I can't wait to go back and try the other dishes like the fried rices/curries.

We tried San aroy thai Kitchen for lunch, started with the chicken coconut galang soup, was so tasty,,perfectly spiced.. we tried some apetisers, dumplings and a larb salad. Everything was so delicious and the service was fast

Green Curry with Tofu Lunch Special incl. side of clear soup

Very delicious Thai food - perfect for these freezing Winter days in Astoria. Ordered 2 meals from the lunch special menu today; 1) Green Curry w/ steamed tofu and soup (~$12 incl tax, 2) Pad See Ew w/ beef (~$13 incl tax). And ofc, I had to treat myself to a Thai iced tea even though it was so cold out. The flavors here are rich and for that lunch special price; you just can't beat it. Note: I've been ordering takeout here for years and inflation has definitely hit in 2024. The portion size for the takeout container for the curries and noodles have definitely gotten smaller so just a heads up that it's not as much food as they once used to give.

If your looking for good Thai then you've found the right place. Just walking past the street smelled amazing so we just had to stop in for dinner. I went with the fried spring rolls and vegetable pad Thai. The spring rolls were very good, fried nicely, not greasy. I liked the vegetable mix that was on the inside too, not just filler veggies. The pad Thai was great! I was so surprised by all of the vegetables that was added. Baby corn and zucchini were the best! Can't wait to go back and check out more of the menu.

There aren't many thai places in ditmars but this one is definitely the best. You can't beat their prices or lunch specials. I always order the crab rangoon here which has the strong kani flavor and is more filling bases. The cucumber sauce is addicting! I recently tried their spicy calamari which is also delicious! They cut it up into pieces instead of circles but the spicy mayo & hot sauce go great together. My go to is the spicy basil fried rice. The rice is full of flavor and had a clear sauce mixed in. Their mock dock is delicious and cooked with the rice so it absorbs the flavor. Great portions too! I tried the green curry as well that was pretty good. More on the liquidy side rather than the creamy side. Lots of yummy bamboo shoots but the eggplant was a little undercooked. Not to sweet but not spicy either. Everything is always beautifully presented.

Delivery container from 5 Piece Crispy Spring Rolls

The food is very good, but we were served the crispy spring rolls in a plastic container not meant for heat. The spring rolls melted the plastic (which is one of the more toxic PS 6 Polystyrene types). We consumed the spring rolls without seeing the melted plastic until we reached the bottom of the container. I'm pregnant, and this plastic is proven to affect a baby's brain development. We are not happy at all with this! Don't order unless they stop using these containers for hot food!

Solid Thai food! Wings and curry puffs are my favorite apps. The salmon salad is great, as is the Beef Kee Mao dish.

They definitely didn't tell me that lunch specials were available before I ordered my soup. Other than that, everyone is pleasant. Space: they have two sides, so plenty of space, but nights and weekends can get pretty packed, so keep that in mind. Food: I ordered Tom Yum soup and a lunch drunken noodle with a Thai iced tea. I only had the soup there and took the entire lunch special to go. Just based off of the soup, I will be going back. It was delicious and PACKED to the MAX! Writing this now, I can still imagine. Drunken Noodles were also really tasty. I like mine spicy and it could have been made spicier, but that's not even a real complaint. Also- the one next to me had this dish which reminded me of pad see ew but in a gravy. Looked delicious!! I will be back for whatever she had. Overall: the entire block is like a little Thai street. There are lots of Thai food options and I finally made it to Ayada. Super happy with my meal and excited to go back with some people and enjoy.

The server was so nice and accomodating to us! - Tom Yum Soup - Such a great soup! The flavor was super rich which contrasted very well with the fresh mushrooms. - Crispy Duck Panang Curry - I love that this dish came with rice as I feel like at most Thai restaurants in the city you need to order it on the side. The duck was extremely crispy and the flavor of the breast went very well with the rich curry. - Raw Shrimp Salad - I've never had this dish before so I was very interested in its flavor and it delivered! The shrimp had such a wonderful sour but fresh flavor while the inside of the shrimp was slightly soft almost like an uni texture. The best word to describe it was umami! The raw bitter melon and the garlic was also interesting to contrast the fishy flavor of the shrimp although we didn't really finish these side pieces at the end. I wish they cleaned the shrimp a bit better as there were still some poop tracks in the shrimp. Overall, a wonderful restaurant and would be very happy to come back to try more of their items!

This spot is a 3-table operation focused entirely on perfecting Thai chicken rice--and they nailed it. The move here: The Chicken: Poached to absolute perfection. Tender, juicy, no fluff. The MVP: The chicken heart. It was so good I had to double down and order a second round. If you know, you know. The Rice: Fragrant ginger rice that actually has flavor, paired with a radish broth that hits the spot. The Sauce Science: They let you mix your own. I am always a fan of these hyper specialist places because I figure if you only sell one dish it must be really good. The chicken is tender yet light on flavor, so the included sauces (one soy based and one chili sauce) are a must. However the rice was delicious and fragrant, a complementary pairing to the chicken. They also included some chicken gizzards and liver if you are a fan of those, but for me I could do with or without. Overall a solid place and worth a repeat visit in my book.
