Delicious food!! I always get the pad Thai, it's amazing. Sometimes I get it with chicken, and sometimes tofu- both are very flavorful and cooked to satisfaction. Great portion size as well. Excellent service at this family owned small business. I've been going here since they opened and service is consistently impeccable. The food is delish whether you stay or take-out. Businesses owners are always there and tale huge pride in their service and delivery. Thank you Ditmars Thai! We love your lunch specials and the fact that the specials run through 4pm! We ordered Pork Pad Thai and Chicken Pad See Ew lunch specials with both spring rolls and chicken dumplings as apps. If I still lived in Astoria, I would be coming here regularly for my Thai fix. Ditmars Thai has fantastic Thai food with authentic spice levels and friendly service to boot. I ordered the drunken noodles with tofu with medium spiciness, which had a rather intense but really quite perfect (for me) amount of heat, along with a mild sweetness. The noodles had a good consistency and the veggies, including peppers, onions, and basil, were fresh and flavorful. read more

This is a nice local family restaurant. You can come here for a quiet satisfying dinner. The food is excellent & the service It's good. I think the server is also the owner. I can't believe this place doesn't have more reviews! It's in a busy location, but this place needs more exposure. The food here was DELICIOUS! Authentic Thai cuisine! The restaurant isn't big, but you won't have an issue with seating. The owner was there and served us, very attentive and prompt. I wouldn't drive here, parking is scarce. Take the train, Uber, or walk. This is a great place for lunch or a cozy low key dinner. I recommend the drunken noodles and the chicken pops! Pricing is great as well. read more

I've been wanting to try Thai Food for the longest time and finally got a chance. I've been eyeing this restaurant since I went to the Thirsty Koala since it was across the street. There was no one in the restaurant it could've been because of the rain or a whole host of reasons. But the other surrounding restaurants had a load of people. We walk-in and was told that we can sit anywhere. Since I was hungry we just ordered straight away. I usually order noodles from Thai places like the Drunken Noodles which are stir fried flat noodles with chili sauce, egg, onion, bell pepper and basil (you can add whatever meat to it). My friend ordered a noodle dish too, I don't quite remember which one it was just that it wasn't spicy. I wanted it really spicy and they didn't deliver, so I asked for hot sauce and that helped me get the spice level that I was asking for. Anyways, I probably won't be returning as this place was just average for service + food. Tons of other Thai food places all over to order from if in the mood. read more

This is the restaurant my partner have been to the most since moving to Astoria a year ago. The owner David is from Thailand and moved here decades ago, but clearly still remembers how to cook great Thai food. Well, I think it's his wife or another employee that cooks it, but it's great. He opened in 2020 with his wife and we started coming soon after. We will often come for the lunch special which I believe is between 12-4, which is a spring roll, dumpling, or soda if you ask. If the weather is nice and you ask David will open the door / window for a nice breeze. It's always been relaxing with the music at a relaxing volume. If you want more or less sauce they can adjust it, we like the pad Thai with more sauce, but you can get it drier as well. We often have the pad Thai and drunken noodles, but I've liked pretty much everything. We also sometimes get the Thai iced tea, and love the chicken wings (of all things). David is friendly and the food is ready fast. We still mask in 2022, but there usually aren't many people here, (perhaps because it's kind of new?), so we eat inside here, about the only place I do that in. Hopefully, for their sake, it gets busier. Try it out, we've liked it, and thought that after two years of coming here I should leave a review. I ate the food too fast before thinking of taking a photo. read more

Went here for dinner on a weekday, it wasn't too busy but the food and the service was exceptional! The staff was very, very pleasant and attentive. The food came out super quick and it was very flavorful. We had the calamari to start and it was crispy but not dry and the dipping sauce was a nice sweet chili sauce, not too spicy. I had the chicken pad thai and they are not cheap on the protein either. I tried some of my boyfriend's drunken noodles with beef and that was very flavorful too but again not very spicy (they do give you sambal/srihacha if you want extra spice). My sister got pad see ew and that was just as flavorful and delicious. I also had the thai iced tea and it was also really good, perfect amount of tea flavor and sweetness. Highly recommend and definitely would come back! read more

I have been to several "top" Thai restaurants in bayside and nothing compares the quality and taste from this gem. Food is full of flavors, from beef and chicken pad Thai to pineapple beef fried rice to the beef or chicken satay. Hands down one of the BEST Thai restaurants I've tried. I order from here more often now and can say my opinion of the place has changed! I often order Thai from different places and I can now say that this place is one of the places I regularly order from. I frequently get the pad se ew here and it's really good. Thai iced tea is good too. Not sure why I wasn't a fan of this place before but I really like it now! Only thing is that I wish they would use Chinese broccoli instead of American broccoli. They have a really good lunch special too! Also good prices which I appreciate. read more

A very welcoming and delicious family owned restaurant. The lunch special offer was available on a Saturday at 2:30pm. The vegetable spring rolls were very crispy and delightful with the sweet dipping sauce. Both the noodle dishes, Chicken Pad Thai and the Vegetable Drunken Noodles, tasted very authentic. The drunken noodles with medium spice level was not overly spicy. Highly recommend trying out this restaurant. We finished everything off our plates because it was that good. read more

Ditmars Thai is amongst one of the best Thai food available in NYC. I highly recommend it above most of the places, especially over anything in Manhattan. The food is served fresh, hot, and is consistently flavored. The service is rapid and sincere, offering a peaceful ambience during lunch. After reviewing DT a year ago with glowing reviews, we ordered tonight 2 pad see ew tofu, one pad see ew with chicken & vegetables and a tofu pad Thai. All of the noodles tasted bland and the same. The chicken and vegetable pad see ew was supposed to be mildly spicy and it was not at all. My daughter who is 7 did not like the food at all and 'attempted' to eat the "spicy" noodles and also said that they were not spicy and not good. We all felt that the dinner was unfortunately underwhelming, bland and overpriced. I definitely will not be going back to DT and I really like supporting small businesses, but there's no way I will spend this much for basic noodles. read more

You're spoiled for choice here but everything is pretty good so I'll call out the extraordinary items. The fish broths are amazing, sweet in the seafood way with a deep richness of flavor. The black fish slices (poorly translated from Chinese, sorry) were satisfying. Boneless and tender. It's a small cost to upgrade from regular fish (I believe it's grass carp) but it's worth it though unfortunately I can't help much in terms of naming the upgrade in English. Their popcorn chicken is well executed, with light crunchy batter and well-seasoned meat. Their fruit drinks are nice too, including the pomelo grape and the peach. Ask for less sugar if that's your thing. Portions are ridiculous but admittedly we over ordered on purpose. Also, it's a common move to ask for the free noodle refill before getting your leftovers to go though we did not partake in the excess here. The bowls are already never-ending buckets of goodies. We did take our leftover broth though. No shame. In fact I'd be more ashamed if we wasted the soup.

The restaurant itself is super cute and has a great vibe, which made the experience even better. And the service? Top tier.
