It's been a little over a year since we had our gutters installed and while our gutters have done their job well, we just learned today that the installation wasn't as good as we thought it was. Throughout the last year we noticed that the panels of shingles along the edge of our roof are now pushing up. We only just had the time to coordinate a roofer to out to check it out and provide us with their insight. In their professional opinion, and having looked at it ourselves we agree, the gutters should not have been installed as they were. The gutters are attached to the fascia directly through the drip edge. The panels of shingles along our roof edge are pushing up where the different gutter panels are joined and the top section of the drip edge has been manipulated and is now pushing the shingle panels up. The roofer said that the installation job took no care at all for the roof itself. We now have to spend money fixing this issue. read more

He did a great job cleaning my gutters and removed several buckets of stuff from them. He explained clogging caused the leaks and that a repair was not necessary. Unorganized. Poor customer service. Awful communication. I received a quote about 10 months ago. The company apparently changed ownership recently in the last year and I followed up to schedule a date for seamless gutter installation. Understanding the quote was only good for 30 days, I emailed the company and was told Dave would have to come out to reassess the existing quote since it had expired and the prior estimator was no longer with the company. Dave added a markup of over 30% from the old quote due to "operating cost adjustments" . I completely understand the environment in which small business are operating in with the global pandemic as a business owner myself. When I asked for an itemized break down, or a simple explanation, I never received an answer. When I asked for a military discount, after calling Dave three or four times in the course of two days, I never received a response back. Dave finally answered the phone (was teleworking) and said he needed to run the numbers by Mike. That was two weeks ago and haven't heard back since... Unacceptable! read more

San Diego Rain Gutters installed gutters on our house in February 2023. We didn't have gutters before and we are sure happy to have them now. There has been lots of rain since the installation and the gutters are working great. We are also very happy with the color match and the quality look of the gutters. This company is fully licensed and insured and their workers are employees, not subcontractors. We've had a couple subpar experiences recently with companies that use subcontractors. We think it makes a difference that SDRG uses their own employees. Each person we interfaced with from San Diego Rain Gutters has been very helpful and professional. Gutter repair follow up.... What a great job both Matt & Gabriel did for my gutters repair!!! They were very professional, creative ( my gutters were not easy accessible due to 2 patio coverings obstructing the way ) and they found a way to get up to the 2nd storey!! My neighbor hired this company and when I open the garage door to leave this morning at 9:30 they had set up their construction spot right in front of my driveway. Sawhorses completely covering my three car driveway their truck parked 25% in front of my driveway and all their tools and crap spread in front of my driveway. When I asked them to move they gave me this sorry not sorry attitude and then the two junky looking workers kept mad dogging me the rest of the morning every time they went to their truck. I told them if it wasn't out-of-the-way in 10 minutes I would call the cops. 20 minutes later they had moved their crap and sawhorses But left their truck still parked partially in front of my driveway as shown in the pictures. We are so pleased with the service that San Diego Rain Gutters provided. Their team installed our gutters in 2007. One of our gutters started to sag. I called to have it repaired, and they said "no problem". I asked the cost. "No charge, you have lifetime guarantee!". Their team came out within a few days, between rain storms, and took a look. If I could give more stars, I would. We decided that since we were going to have our house coated with Rhino Shield that we should remove our old gutters so that they could Rhino Shield underneath. We called San Diego Rain Gutters and they gave us a great deal. Then the problems started. Not with them but other issues. First, we needed to do some termite repair. Then a death in the family. Then other work that needed to be done before the gutters could be installed. Bill in the office and Darrel the sales rep were great about staying in touch but not being pushy. We finally got through all of the obstacles and were ready to proceed. Colors were chosen and the work scheduled. Chris and Brian showed up on time. (actually a little early, but they were waiting in their truck so as to not bother us early) They did an outstanding job, nice installation and they were very accommodating in answering any questions as the work progressed, even arranging for different color downspout at one location that we should have thought of before. When they were done, they made sure that even very small debris and trimmings were picked up and removed, leaving the area cleaner than when they arrived. Finally, eight months after our agreement was signed, we are finished and we couldn't be happier. If you need rain gutters, these are the people to call. WOW - Another WOKE company who if a customer is not happy and vents the issues to customer service, BILL, the owner \ Manager \ Scheduler?? They will CANCEL you and refuse future business AND will call you and TELL you off, chastise you about it as this was my experience on Nov 30, 2022 by MATT. History: 6\2019 - I Patronized this company and had them install gutters on my home. Their service tech\ contractor? Showed up and from the beginning was not pleasant in the slightest. Didn't greet me the customer with a hello, not even a smile. I had to greet him by saying Hi. When he got out of his truck with a smoking cigarettes in his mouth (No big deal yet), I thought he would 86 the cigarette before walking up my driveway and entering the property but he DID NOT. I was silent about this for as long as I could (5 mins maybe) as he was taking measurements and I politely requested he please get rid of the cigarette. Again, ZERO words from this man's mouth. (70+ year old Caucasian). After he was done with the gutters and had left (Without letting me know which was horrible customer service) I went out to look at the gutters and noticed he installed a drop-down piece feeding from 1 gutter to the other, he installed it to drop the water directly on the roof rather over the next gutter so the water drops from the 2 ft. section of drop-down into the next gutter. I called their office and spoke with (B I L L) and vented my satisfaction from the demeanor and attitude of the service tech, to the service tech improperly placing a drop-down on a roof and I would like it changed. The service tech returned either that day or the next (Not sure but it was quick) and installed the drop-down above the next lower gutter so the water drops directly into the next gutter. He said NOTHING. No hello, no smile, no sorry about that, no sorry for the miscommunication...NOTHING. Page forward Nov 30, 2022 - I called asking for another quote for the other side of the house as I couldn't afford to do all at once, and a sales rep MATT. Matt came out and quoted me a price of $847 for a 48 ft. straight section of 2 gutters with 2 dropdowns. This came out to appx $17.00\linear ft. This was much higher from the last 48 ft. section they did for me that was only $500.00 with 1 dropdown. Matt then called me back to tell me "We don't want your business, Bill said you were rude to him in 2019 when you called him to complain of the previous service and I have to believe him". Matt kept going on chastising me for about 5 mins and I was dead silent not believing this guy was going off on me. It sounded like a boss lecturing an employee yet I was the previous customer offering them future business.! Rather than saying "We're not available, or whatever, he just beat me up (the customer) with accusations of mistreatment of their service tech. MATT had only second hand information and over 2 year old information. Bill should have had the COURTESY....to phone the customer and speak directly to me and NOT having a sales rep call. Very disrespectful. I would never recommend SDRainGutters to anyone. The GREAT news is...I called "CWB Gutters" and got a FANAMINAL price quote of just $12\Linear ft. total price $487.00 with 2 Downspouts. See before and after photos. These guys (Brothers) were GREAT. Arrived on-time as they said. Were incredibly fast and proficient! So in the end, I thank this WOKE company who CANCELLED me (for my being politely upset at their SHOTTY work), I found a more thankful company AND A MUCH CHEAPER PRICE.! read more

We had our copper rain gutters installed by SD Rain Gutters in late 2018. They did a great job, and they worked well. A year or two ago, we noticed that in one corner the gutters were overflowing, and the gutters did not appear to be clogged with debris. Finally, we decided it was time to have them checked. Kris (who had done the original install) and a co-worker determined that the EZ-Flo leaf filter was causing the problem, so we had them remove it. Kris also did a couple of other fixes to redirect the water flow. We were very impressed with the work they did. First and most importantly!!! No matter who you pick to do gutters, check their license and insurance status!!! The last thing you want is someone to fall off a ladder on your property without insurance, because your property insurance can be on the hook!!! Ok, now that you have been warned, this is one of the FEW gutter companies that I found is licensed and insured! We had an estimate done in late November and they were not able to get out til last week for installation. It seems they are very busy! When they did show the crew was very professional and they did excellent work in making sure that plants and patio furniture were moved and not damaged. We had the 6" gutters installed and they look amazing. Most importantly they work! They were able to divert all of the rain to the front downspouts and helped minimize water dumping out in our backyard. On December 2. he promised: "They should be in touch early this week sometime, I will check for you and let you know or you can call the office to get the ball rolling." We had San Diego Rain Gutters quote to replace the existing rain gutters on our home. Their quote was very competitive and literally within $10 of the other two quotes we received. Mary in the office was very helpful and friendly both scheduling the quote and the installation, and was a pleasure to work with. Bill came out as scheduled to give the quote, and gave us some great options/suggestions for downspout placement and drainage. Because it's not quite "busy season" for rain gutters, we were able to schedule installation within two weeks of approving the quote. The installation crew arrived as promised on the day/time scheduled, did a quick walk through with me before installation, and got right to work. I hit the get Estimate button and I got a call back with in an hour. Charles came out on May 22nd to give me a quote. He was very nice, professional, and knew what he was talking about.
