We attended training camp today and went to guest services to locate a brick we purchased at levi stadium. We asked guest services to help us locate it to which they said they couldnt and we just had to search so go do that. When we did security told us we couldnt. After a great day and travelling all way from Scotland to see it this very much spoiled the day for us. read more

I am devastated. After 60 years of being an ultimate Niner fan, I must admit they way they handled taking seats away from me was horrible. Legal yes, terribly mismanaged, also yes. Here is my story. I saw my first game at Kezar Stadium in 1967. I have followed the niners closely my entire life. I have watched a couple hundred niner games on TV both home and away. I never liked Candlestick for football, so did not become a season ticket holder until Levi's was built. I have had two tickets in the club section, 50-yard line since 2014. I paid license fees for those seats. Our first few years there we found the sun was a bit much on that side and began looking for more tickets. In 2021 we added 4 seats into a new section called Owners Patio. We stayed there for a few years, when again the sun was an issue so we tried the North Owners Patio which was worse for sun and terrible for watching the game, too many rowdy , drunk fans in that area. We moved back to the South Owners Patio, purchasing 4 seats last season. Typically, each year the team would send us an email in early June asking if we were going to renew our seats, and for the past 4 years we have. This year we did not get an email, so we sent one to the team asking about renewing our 4 seats again and we got this surprising response: From 49ER SALES PERSONNEL: "I figured it would be easier to converse over the phone but happy to work through via email. Your South Owners Patio seats from last season are not available to the public for this upcoming season, so I have 2 renewal options for you: North Owners Patio * Row 2, seats 3 to 5 - 3 seats total * Row 1, seats 9 & 10 - 2 seats total "Please note, your seats prior was on the South Owners Patio, and these are on the North Owners Patio. Please also note you can purchase both blocks above (5 total) or purchase either single block - 3 seats total or 2 seats total" Notice neither of these options include 4 seats, which is what I had and what I was expecting to renew. I subsequently found out our seats were taken by "Ownership". Meaning The 49ers took on some minority owners during the offseason and they needed 10 more seats because there was no more room in Jed York's suite. Now it's correct to say that these seats were not guaranteed as no license fee was required to purchase them, so the 49ERS had the right to take those seats. Using the terms not available to the public this year, implies something one off happened and maybe you can get them back next year. It's pretty doubtful the seats taken by new minority owners are going to be available next year. NOT SURE WHY THEY EVEN BOTHERED TO SAY ANYTHING WOULD BE AVAILABLE WHY NOT TELL THE TRUTH HERE AS YOU ARE SCREWING OVER YOUR CUSTOMERS ANYWAYS. You would think however that maybe they shouldn't just nab them without having replacement seats available, no? I have spent over $ 400,000 for tickets in the past 5 years, you would have thought that mattered, but alas it did not. I have owned and operated a business for the past 37 years, and I can assure you this is no way to treat a loyal longtime customer. Sadly, disappointed my seats were taken from me, I will now work to disengage from my other tickets and determined not to financially support anything 49ers. The Niners have won the championship five times: 1982, 1985, 1989, 1990, and 1995. San Francisco had a football dynasty that lasted from the 80s into the mid-90s. Joe Montana and Jerry Rice became household names. In the 80s, Niner Empire was led by hall-of-fame coach Bill Walsh with his "West Coast" pass-oriented offense. After head coach Steve Mariucci's last season in 2002, the Niners haven't been the same. They had two long stretches of no postseason appearances: 2003-2010 and 2014-2018. I have been a Niner fan since my dad had me watch football with him as a youngster... But Wooo! What a season to be part of the #BangBangNinerGang... Our QB Trey Lance did well but then got injured and surprisingly Jimmy G came in and did even better and then got injured too and now the rookie Brock Purdy is in the spotlight making gains... Put that together with tight end George Kittle (one of my faves) and wide receiver Deebo Samuel as well as defense star Nick Bosa....and we got a great team!!! So proud of these guys and look forward to see what else is in store this season! read more

I been a long time 49ers fan. I'm a long time Santa Clara resident. I'm disappointed all the people you are supporting for the coming elections. Specially Kevin Park , do you ever watch the city council meetings he continues to ramble on & on about nothing! I called him about the Santa Clara Swim Center the beginning of year if they going to do build a new one or upgrade the existing. He said he city doesn't have the money to upgrade or even the Triton museum. My granddaughter , who swim for SC Swim club,now has to go to Monte Visa in Cupertino & Peterson for swim pactices since Santa Clara Swim Center closed. read more

Long time season ticket holder. The experience has been TERRIBLE. To start, the tickets are WAY overpriced. I have pretty good tickets lower level in the shade corner end zone row 20. Average price is $325 per ticket but it goes up and down per game. "Top" games are over $500 per and lowers are $270 per. This scheme ensures resell is impossible to even break even. Taylor swift tickets don't even cost this much... and I would know I have been to a number of concerts at Levi. So that is the scam, but that isn't even the problem I am writing about. The technology, website and app, are horrendous. multiple times, I have gotten confirmation I changed my pricing, only to see it not changed and not able to sell a ticket because I am priced way to high. The app has practically never worked and is like from 2007 technology. Aren't the 9ers in Silicon Valley? Every time I have reached out to "my" customer service rep, they never respond on time, can never help and it is always someone different. I am pretty forgiving and understanding, but this truly feels like a scam. All they want is money money money and when you present evidence of system failure, they never do anything. I am over the tickets, and I am over the 9ers... so much money wasted. read more

This team is really good. As a niner fan it's amazing that they are nfc champs in the 2023 season. It's also cool that they have a fog horn for a touchdown, a cannon for kick off, and a bell for 3rd down. The flyovers are cool, and our fans travel a lot. They had such a great season with a great fan base and a true commitment to each other. To have to hear that players are constantly injured is tough and somewhat irritating. I'm a season ticketholder. I just purchased a license and paid $6000 in August. I showed up for the game yesterday and found out that my license had been canceled. I'm stuck without tickets and no license. I'm fighting with my rep Jackie Rodriguez and member services to get my license reinstated. How can they say I didn't pay? They have my credit card from when I purchased my license in August just this year. Don't trust the 49ers. BUYER BEWARE. 49ers train their reps including Jackie Rodriguez to crook their season ticketholders. They have no office to visit to get this corrected. I guess I'll see them in court! As a few more of the recent reviews have pointed out. The new ticket distribution policy is lame....like really lame. I get the whole trying to be "green" thing, like most of the world the effort to eliminate our carbon footprint is a noble cause. But it's quite obvious what the 49ers are attempting to do. Again, as stated in other reviews. We season ticket holders are no longer presented with printed tickets. I get that, I don't like it .....but I understand it. But not allowing us the ability to print our tickets until 72 hours prior to game day is just wrong. What if I want to gift my nephew for a game in December? No more wrapping up my tickets and handing them over on his birthday. Lame. Again, we season ticket holders are on to you. It's about limiting sales (to something that we already purchased) within the NFL ecosystem. Lame. Is this new policy worth a 2 star reduction? To me yes. read more

I had to keep writing this review over and over because there were original 49errors. And I hate that they are selling animal skins to this day, and on the cheap too, Macy's is advertising $49furs. Also when you spin round in circles 49 times and then look at the number 49, you'll notice that 49blurs. First-Hand Experience: I've seen the 49ers play at Candlestick, and at the new stadium, which bothers me because Yelp deleted my review of the new stadium where I watched a game just last season. It's okay, I'll repost it soon. What I want to say is that even now that they're not dominant, watching the 49ers is an absolute pleasure. They were the greatest team in the world throughout the 80s and early 90s (sorry Cowboys) and will always hold a special place. I hope they get back to being triumphant very soon. If you have never seen them live at home, please do. The Bay Area only gets this riled up about one thing: this team. Now that I've seen every NFL team play live & been to every NFL stadium (current and former), time to review them on Yelp! I love stadiums! Looking forward to seeing the new stadium. I liked the Jeff Garcia and Terrell Owens days, too, by the way, but I have to say that during the Walsh era, the 9ers were perhaps the best team to watch in the history of football, so well done. And San Francisco, what can I say. One of the most beautiful cities in the world... incomparable. I was in love with it from the first minute until now and always will be. My fave food in SF are the bacon wrapped dogs they sell late at night outside clubs, and also Tacos Guadalajara, which is open late, and nearby Las Palmas Mexicatessen, which is not open late. The Tamales there are amazing as are other things. Also if they want a 5 star rating from me, I thought of a new way to get it. Just change the name to the 69ers. read more

If I had to root for any of the California based football teams, it would have to be the SF 49ers. I grew up watching one of the greatest QB to WR tandems in football history-Joe Montana to Jerry Rice. With a new beautiful stadium, lets see if they can get their playoff hopes intact! The Million Dollar Backfield tandem, Bill Walsh, Roger Craig, Ronnie Lott, Dwight Clark, Steve Young, Frank Gore, Vernon Davis, Patrick Willis...these are some of the names that will sound familiar to the Niners faithful. I never got into them being my team growing up. I did however used to watch them a lot considering they were the hottest team that time(I'm a 90's baby!) This franchise has one of the most colorful stories of any NFL team. 5 Lombardi trophies says it all. Forgive me the near high rating, but it is well deserved for them. Now they plan on keeping Tomsula for another season? Are you kidding me? When you fail as bad as Tomsula has failed there is a very simple solution. You get replaced with a new coach and give the new coach a chance to fail under York and Baalke. Speaking of York and Baalke? If Jerry Lewis wasn't still alive I would have thought they must be the comedy team of Martin and Lewis reincarnate. What a great recipe for failure. No sane Owner, General Manager or Head Coach in the NFL should seriously give thought to hiring Mr. Kaepernick as a quarterback for their 'TEAM' for a reason i've not seen, nor heard discussed - his divisiveness. After being a season ticket holder for almost 15 years, spending a fortune on PSL's, and sitting thru horrible years, you would think the 49ers care about their fans. Well, I was wrong. The 49ers changed the policy this year regarding tickets. First off, after paying the niners $3,000 for this years tickets, I don't get hard copy tickets anymore. If you collect ticket stubs, guess what, too bad. Also I can't even print off my tickets which I own until 72 hrs prior to the game. I have a feeling this policy is in place to take business from Stub hub. I asked my ticket representative if I could get my tickets in PDF form and they refused. I asked to return my PSL's since this new policy I didn't agree to and they said I can't. I just can't understand the decisions ownership makes and how they care less and less about us. The niners had the best hard copy tickets around. In 2012 they did this great binder with the tix. It was awesome. Now we get nothing. I really think it's time to sell my PSL's and stop providing the money I work hard for to people that don't care. read more

Over time I have forgiven them. Not because they're winning this season, although that does help because it puts them in the spotlight and sparks my curiosity. Over the past three seasons Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch have gotten rid of the bad actors off the field, like Reuben Foster, and assembled a team of nice guys. I've been reading profiles of the players in the Chronicle sports pages over the past few weeks and that has humanized them. I have come to know more about George Kittle, Richard Sherman, Nick Bosa and now Raheem Mostert. I haven't watched a game until yesterday's. After reading Ann Killion's column yesterday I decided to watch, and enjoyed the game, though I like the Packers and Aaron Rodgers and was sad to see them lose. I expect I will even watch the Super Bowl this year. It doesn't stop me from being an avid Warriors fan, which I am, win or lose. As you might infer, I have never followed two sports simultaneously. I've been more an obsessive fan of one sport, one team. I still detest the NFL for their veniality and cowardice in relation to the concussions and their treatment of Colin Kaepernick. I'm not ready to call myself a 49er fan again, but I'm open. read more

OK, to be on the positive side, I'll give the devil their due. These guys in the 80's were great; if I disliked a team, there wasn't a comparison to the utter HATE I had for this team. On the football field they defied all conventional wisdom as to how football should be played, and they won four Super Bowls in a decade. As a football historian (if there is such a thing), I must point out that they took advantage of liberalized interference calls wherein the defensive back couldn't harass the wide receiver as much as they used to. This made it easier for their "West coast offence" to be successful. Their QB was eventually touted as the greatest QB ever, which to an NFL historian loving Unitas was virtually heretical nonsense. They were probably the right team for the right time: the 80s were the era of lite beers, acid washed jeans, and Michael Jackson. Would any of these things including the 49ers fit in any other decade? All I can say is that I had utter joy when the Cowboys effectively ended their dynasty in the 1992 NFC Championship game, and later in 2013 when my Baltimore Ravens humiliated them in the Super Bowl, which was their first SB loss. I am a 49ers SBL holder and wanted to alert people about another bad decision 49ers management has made pertaining to season ticket distribution. The 49ers have stopped distributing hard tickets and we cannot print tickets until 72 hours before the kickoff. We have a monstrous investment and basically they are trying to monopolize resales to NFL ticket exchange and stop us from putting tickets on Stubhub. If you sell on NFL ticket exchange the buyer has zero access to tix until 72 hours before. The reason the 49ers gave was that they had too much fraud last year with printed and transferred tickets. So you have 72 hours to sell your tickets and if a season ticket holder transfers tickets to you ,you can only reprint them 72 hours before the game. You have no access to NFL ticket exchange which is official NFL resale, only to print and then go to Craigslist. Often things come up and you cannot make the game after you've bought tickets.
