Windmill Cleaners is my neighborhood cleaners that I have been a customer of for over 15yrs. I can truly say that the services of both Jan and Dan are hands down the best in the city. Recently, I tried a new service they provide, cleaning shoes. My shoes were a light color fabric that I was afraid of treating myself. Sure enough, my shoes came back looking as good as new. Love this place the owners are very nice and always so friendly and helpful, if I need a piece rushed it's always no problem and they sometimes don't even charge a rush fee. I bring all mines and my children's clothes and shoes here for dry cleaning. Our clothes are always cleaned to perfection and smell amazing. The couple that owns this place is super nice. Great with vintage clothes and excellent customer service. I've had zero problems with them all the years i've been going to their shop. Attention to detail, YEP, watched one of the owners put the delicate buttons back on a lady's jacket cause they didn't want to damage them when they pressed the item. Without the customer asking her to in the first place. The customer service here is very unprofessional. I dropped off an expensive skirt suit for dry cleaning and when I picked it up, one of the jacket sleeves was shorter than the other and the hem that was in place when I dropped it off for cleaning was no longer in place and unraveled once I put on my skirt. They ruined my suit and when I calmly brought this to the cleaning lady's attention, she said she would fix it but she would charge me $5.00. After I asked why would she charge me when it was their mistake. She went on to fix it and then told me she would no longer do business with me again. I have gone to this business for a very long time and have recommended this establishment to my family, friends and co-workers over the years. Now we no longer support this establishment. Not only did they lose (1) customer but now they have lost (10+) customers due to the lack of respect they have for the community that they profit in. read more

Bad business skills----crooks----looses your stuff discolor your cloths and will not replace them or even say sorry Do not use them!!!!!! a disgrace to the african american community to even allow these people in our neighborhood to capitalize on us--------- I am very upset! i and my family and friends have been using this cleaners in our neighborhood for years. we have spent $1000.00's of dollars here. picked up some items 3 weeks ago and to my dismay 3 items were missing 2 church wraps and pair of dress shorts. I brought it to the Asian owner's attention 3 weeks ago and she told me she will recheck everything again. every week when i came in she told me the same old story....."no finding yet I gave to you already you check at home diamond----check your closet okay please"....i said okay I will check again. but,I have a list on my closet wall of everything i take to the cleaners so,I won't lose my things that are in the cleaners. due to a very bad past experiences with cleaners. so, when i retrieve my clean cloths from the cleaners i check it off. well, 3 weeks ago i didn't check 3 items off. being that i like these people's work i was giving her time to look in their place of business to find my lost items. last week may 9, 2013 i stopped by to tell her i need my clothes or my money back for paying in advanced for things i never received and the sewing job she did on the dress black shorts(and something to help on the reimbursement of purchasing some new shorts and other items she lost)... do you know what this woman had the nerve to tell me????"i check all over my place i don't have it you picked it up already" i told her "stop telling me i picked it up and you gave me my cloths that is a lie you accidentally wrapped my things up with another customers things and gave it away, own up to it".....she refused to own up to it. needless to say my aunt who is well known and much respected Muni driver here in the bay view and s.f. ca. in general, went through an issue with her a few months back. she messed up some of her cloths and refused to reimburse my aunt for the damages. we usually pay in advance so she keeps our money and does not own up to her faults and mistakes she doesn't even offer us our $$$$back...what a cold blooded crooks" i talked to her explaining the pain we have to endure from former and other Asians here in the bay view how they disrespect us continuously...and this is an historical issue we have had to endure".....she looked at me like i was dirt!!!!!!that is what they really think about us...come into our communities and capitalize on us!!!! I know 5 other people here in the bay view area that said similar issues and they are no longer "patronize" this unfair, unjust place of business. these crooks are getting away with robbing our people here in our own community and capitalizing on low income families and single parents struggling to survive in this broken economy. and they have been stealing from your dining room tables form day 1.....taking from us. we work hard for our money and our cloths and pay for them to be cleaned and safely returned to us in clean and excellent condition when we pick them up.... and it is unjust that they continue to get away with this. I am going to send this to every news station online...every talk show.....the BBB...and face book...every media network I can find.....these crooks will not get one red cent from me or my people I reach............ She even refused to do anything ---to make the situation better....how dare your business treat me like i am nothing as much $$$$ as i have spent with them????? I have spent $1000.00's and given my loyal dedication and patronized this place of business for years...I have been disrespected and disregarded.......as a human being and tax payer..... do not use them they are mistreating your fellow neighbors unjust and getting over on people in the black community all colors for that fact!!!!! I've brought in everything from expensive name brand dresses, to delicate vintage, to crazy complicated hand-made items and so far I've had no problems.
