The term Bay Area has been a confusing term for outsiders. The Bay sounds like it's close to San Francisco but it could be miles away. It's easy to say I'm in the Bay when you don't live in San Francisco. The Airports can be confusing for a visitor looking to travel from and to SFO Airport in San Francisco on the same place where you can enter the Golden Gate Bridge or Bay Bridge. Then there is the Oakland San Francisco Bay Airport which causes more mass confusion especially for those catching BART from and to the Coliseum in Oakland. There is one BART stop along the way which you can go to SFO and Oakland San Francisco Bay Airport it's the San Bruno BART station. This is a good place for a pit stop along the way . When traveling by car there is plenty of parking and the shopping mall . Inside you will find a place with sweet and sour ice treats. It's located inside Tanforan Mall and it's called San FRoYo On my last stroll to Barnes and Nobles bookstore at Tanforan which is closing this Saturday on May 2 for good, I went to San FRoYo because the Starbucks and Cheesecake Factory mash up inside Barnes and Nobles is shut down forever. Inside San FroYo you can choose to get sweet and sour lemonade , smoothies and self serve frozen yogurt in a cup. I got fancy vanilla froyo topped with purple taro. The fancy vanilla was not too sweet but the top of purple taro was a bit sour. All that was missing was the cherry on top ( they ran out of cherries). Since I just watched the Michael Jackson movie I selected from the Smooth Criminal Smoothie Menu and got the Mango and Peach Paradise. It was refreshing and tasty with a bit tarty. This place is good to hide from the rain or sun and enjoy something refreshing. Remember San FroYo is located in San Bruno ( not the Avenue in SF) and not in SF. Visit Tanforan mall before it closes and come by car, motorcycle, bus, BART, feet , and"scooters" you can even catch Lyfts and "Ubers" I miss those days when the mall was thriving and busy seeing people hanging in groups and even spot some "Army recruiters" and I miss the days when they use to have a "Hooters" Barnes and Nobles by next week will be gone in Tanforan and this happened to a Creamery called "Cold Stone" so I went to to get FroYo at San FRoYo its only serve in a cup and not a "cone" Tanforan in the future will turn into a Biotech office , retail, and housing also known as a "Flex Zone" but you will see airplanes in the sky from SFO like the one recently which dodged a "drone" read more

Super good and the best customer service, why haven't I noticed the only thing in this mall worth going to? Oh, maybe the second best thing since they still have a Target here. Anyways back to the frozen yogurt, the strawberry was awesome and so was the mango. Those were the flavors I got. Pro tip: get the punch card so that you can work on getting 50% off if you come here often enough. Also, they are planning on moving to Serramonte in the future so keep that card! read more

Great froyo! Come to this mall and try their froyo before the mall dies!! The price is very decent

The store is nice and clean. They have a wide selection of flavors that have a little bit of something for everyone. While filling my cup, I noticed that it was on the softer side and had already started melting. Although it didn't ruin the experience, a few drops of the melted yogurt dripped into my cup each time I went in to add a new flavor. I tried three flavors: dutch chocolate, strawberry, and dole pineapple. All of them tasted pretty good, and I enjoyed how rich the dutch chocolate was while the strawberry and pineapple were quite refreshing. As for toppings, I got all the fruits, as well as the rainbow mochi. The fruits were delicious, especially the chocolate-covered bananas. One downside is that I couldn't top my own toppings, you have to ask the cashier for each topping. I understand it's probably for sanitary reasons, but there were so many topping options that I would have preferred to do it myself. I didn't see where the cost per ounce of yogurt was posted, but I might have missed it. Two cups of yogurt came out to $23, which is a bit expensive. Delicious yogurt though! read more

A nice place to come for a refreshing treat on a warm day. Located on the 1st floor of the Tanforan mall, this is a good spot to stop by in an otherwise dying mall. They have a dozen different flavors to try with a wide assortment of toppings. You have to give your bowl to the staff member and then direct them on which toppings you would like, which can sometimes lead to more or less of the topping you want, and you don't get to provision it in the arrangement that you like, but I get that they do this likely for sanitary purposes. read more

I went here with a friend. I got vanilla and for some reason it tasted like straight alcohol. (like burban or 98% alcohol) My friend got chocolate and strawberry, the chocolate also tasted like alcohol but it was on the same machine with the vanilla and she said the strawberry tasted fine. This could have been something wrong with the machine but i had to throw my fro-yo away. read more

Be careful with the price. I just paid almost $50 for four cups of frozen yogurt. Apparently their unit price is a lot higher than the street price you would normally see for a regular froyo. , The guy who sthe toppings also put o huge scoops for kids so that they can charge more. As good as the frozen yogurt is whoever the cashier was when I ordered gave such unfriendly service and as I was paying, I skipped the tip, since I only got a very small amount to try. The skip button didn't end up pressing and the cashier faced the tablet towards her and pressed the tip side on her own. read more

Just left San Froyo and couldn't help but write a review since I haven't seen such good customer service in a while at the Tanforan mall. Had a craving for some Froyo after a long day at work and just happened to stop by. Immediately was greeted by the employee in the front. Place was spotless and very instagramable. Pricing was standard for the area. Got the original tart with mango boba and fruit and everything was super fresh, despite it being close to their closing time. The employee was super friendly and asked if I wanted to take a picture of my Froyo and made it look as appealing as it tasted (which is rare in this area). Had a quick friendly conversation and you can tell they really were passionate about the place. Will 100% be back to grab a smoothie in the daytime ! read more

Who doesn't love froyo! I loveee the taro flavor and their original tart. Every place has unique characteristics to their original tart and this place has some of the best! It is a higher price point than most froyo spots but it sure is delicious and convenient for where i work! read more

Huge selection of addons available for your froyo. I was impressed with things like banana and lychee fruits. The plain yogurt was on creamier side and not very tart. I think some of their fruits made up for that. Their location is way in the back of the mall on the ground level and their sign still says OrangeTree instead of their new company name. Haven't had a good froyo in a while and this certainly satisfied the craving. They charge by weight so don't be surprised when you ask for tons of addons and wonder why you're paying $15 for a small amount of yogurt. read more
