Everything about Quickly is so nostalgic! These days I don't usually get drinks from Quickly anymore but I'm still a sucker for the fried tofu! Prices have gone up but I guess that's true everywhere. For about $8, you get a generous portion of piping hot fried tofu cubes. Perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It never disappoints! Seasoning is self-serve by the register, and there are small containers available to take some seasoning to go if you don't plan to eat there. It does take a bit of time to prepare the fried tofu, so expect to wait 5-10 minutes depending on how many orders are ahead of you. Interior is clean but don't think there's any bathroom available. I haven't been to a Quickly in ages, but it sure brings back the memories. One of the main reasons I wanted to hit up Quickly recently was because they are one of, if not the only, boba tea shops that still have almond milk tea on the menu. It is so hard to find!! This specific location is pretty small, but it seemed fairly clean. There are 2 self-serve kiosks to order from and also a cash register if you can catch one of the employee's attention. Customizations aren't plentiful through the kiosk. I could only request either a larger size for a nominal fee, get half or full sugar, or add on additional toppings. The half sweet option was good enough, but I would have liked to be able to get less sugar if desired. I also think it would have been nice to have the option to order a hot drink instead of defaulting to iced. Pre-COVID people and students would hang inside and do homework, play games, or just chat. **DRINKS** -They have an eclectic menu of Milk teas ($4.50), Slushes ($4.50), Fruit teas ($4.25), Smoothies ($4.99), Yogurt drinks ($3.99) and more! There are a ton of different flavor options you can get for most items. There is a huge list of toppings to add ($.75/ea), however they don't always have every one available. The drink prices listed are for the regular size, though they have a "Supersize" you can upgrade for +$1.50. They used to have more size options, however I believe they condensed to two with the remodel. **FOOD** -There are a bunch of (mostly unhealthy, but delicious) options. They have a lot of snack foods that are good in specific situations. Some of the favorites we like are the Popcorn Chicken ($7.99), Curly Fries ($5.99) & Waffle Fries ($5.99). Plus, my Jasmine milk tea was well flavored and the boba was PERFECT (firm n chewy but not too soft or too hard). Maybe the best time of day to go is at noon? I've been coming to this Quickly for several years, but since I've finally made it in post-remodel, it's time for a review! ~ Location, Ambiance and Service ~ They are located in the San Bruno Towne Center which is always fairly busy due to the mix of food, shopping and Bevmo. We had a couple of questions since we were changing our usual order, and service was fine--not overly friendly, but it's hard to read on people when we are all masked. ~ Food ~ Popcorn Chicken: This is one of my guilty pleasure snacks--salty, crispy, dark meat that is hot and delicious! The original boba shop I grew up drinking before all these new places opened. Their menu has over 100+ types of drinks and many toppings. They also have snacks and desserts such as popcorn chicken and french fries. Got my usual Jasmine Milk Tea. Wished they allowed sugar and ice customizations since I've been going 10% sugar recently. 3 stars for their popcorn chicken! The oil smelled a bit on the breading. However, you can add the spicy powder on your own and it gives it a little kick to your chicken The store was semi-clean, but there were boxes everywhere in the front area. Service needs improvement. They FORCE you to tip. The self serve kiosk that they have you use FORCES you to pick 10/15/20% tip. If you want to hit the "CUSTOM" tip to leave a different amount or 0, you can't. The Custom button is hidden underneath the "Continue" button. So you can't even access the the Custom button if you don't want to tip, or already left cash. It took us about 10 minutes just to put an order in on a Saturday afternoon. The cashier looked like she did not want to be there just asking customers "what do you want?" With no smile or any sort of acknowledgment while she was getting orders together in the back. Considering that there were only 2 people working there and she was doubling with making food in the back it definitely doesn't help her situation. They need to hire more folks on busy days like these. The room got to about 7 people long and there were lots of people waiting in line and only one person making drinks. The buzzer that indicates people coming in and out is broken because it kept ringing sporadically even though no one was coming in. Definitely an organizational issue. Despite those issues, her bad attitude was apparent. She didn't accept the $10 bill of someone ahead of us because it had a rip, but my partner purposefully took out a ripped bill that she accepted. But she proceeded to give him attitude for asking for 25% sugar, to which she said "we don't use sugar we use syrup" so we asked for 25% syrup but thought her response was off. She was very rude and there were 3 of us customers talking outside about how rude she just was to everyone. Covid-specific: * They apparently take card now but only for over $5. 1 drink probably will not run you over $5 so assume you'll need to bring cash, even in the pandemic. * No seating, pay station at door. Pros: * located in a big shopping center near the 280. You'll find parking, other stores to shop at or catch lunch, get your lumber at Lowe's, get your nails done, etc. * the typical massive menu you'd get at any other Quickly's. * Nothing unusual about the bubble tea -- tapioca is fine, drinks are fine, and average sweetness. * Typically has hot snacks (i.e. salt / pepper fried chicken, takoyaki, fish balls, etc), not sure if they are still doing them now. Cons: * They weren't able to adjust sweetness on drinks (you can adjust ice though). Getting older and trying to watch sugar consumption, so that wasn't the greatest. * Still taking cash only for under $5, even though most places out there are trying to avoid making people do that. * You'll probably get your point across a whole lot faster if you speak Canto or Mandarin -- communicating in English wasn't the smoothest. read more

Out of all the Quickly's I've gone to, this shop is the best. Friendly staff, never fails to greet us upon arrival. They offer 2 kiosk so you can take as long as you want when making choices with the drinks/ snacks (of course unless there are people waiting). With the kiosk, it is only card payment, if you are not a tech savvy, they are pretty helpful and will guide you. Cash payments are also accepted but you would need to let the staff know as they will be the one to take your order. Ordering ahead is available but I find ordering in person much better as not all products are listed online. Also, they are quick so it's not like you are waiting for a long time to get your order. The space is not suitable large groups, as it is quite tight inside and only few tables are available. As far as the food and drinks, I find that it is much more tasty compared to the other Quickly franchises, again that's my opinion. This Quickly has been my go to as of lately, over the other boba shops. Let's just say that they have not failed me, yet. read more

I visit this Quickly often during the week whenever I need my boba tea fix. Drinks are almost always consistently good. Service is pretty okay with some good ones while some okay ones. Some of my faves are the bubble milk tea, honey rose milk tea, jasmine milk tea, & earl grey milk tea. I wanted to try their oolong, but they said it only come in large size only. One of the smallest quickly locations. The seating is limited, seriously! Chances are that if you are coming here you are standing and waiting for your drink(s) and/or food. Apparently there are only 2 people that work here at a time so if it gets busy expect to wait for awhile. There is one guy that works here that likes to sing out loud which is entertaining. I ordered my usual Jasmine milk green tea but this time I paid extra for tapioca boba since I was feeling a little peckish. I really shouldn't have. The boba was not sweetened at all so I felt like I was chewing squishy plastic. There was no flavor and they were too chewy that was a little undercooked. In the end, I just drank the milk tea but didn't eat any of the boba. Save yourself the extra cents and don't get the boba. UPDATE // I've been really into Fried Tempura lately and I know most Quickly location has this item on their menu. So I stopped by to order 2 of them and was disappointed when I got two bags of 10 small fried tempura which costs almost $4. Other locations give at least 15 pieces for the same price. I was craving a fruity drink and decided to pop on in to quickly. Really large menu on the wall that was a bit overwhelming. I decided on a mango pineapple and berry smoothie. On the menu board I also saw fresh cut fries. I love fresh cut fries, so I ordered some. When my fries came out they were definitely not fresh cut! It was a frozen crinkle cut fries!
