It was amazing. We have a really good server named Elvia in who was very attentive. The food was delicious the meat I recommend getting the San Miguel Carne Asada. It's a big piece of meat enough for two people even to share. I got a few tacos out of my husband's plate. I honestly recommend this place. It's a 10 out of 10. My friends and I stopped in around noon on Monday, 4/28/25. I was super excited to try this place. My plate was delicious but the shrimp were so so salty. I had to mix them with the beans and rice just to tone down the saltiness. The service was good and it is a nice restaurant inside and they have great outdoor seating, that's where we sat. Recommended by hotel check-in. I was tired and didn't care to go out again. I'm glad I did. Had a beer and with the friendly staff I had another and ordered my fajitas. Went here after friends recommendation. I had the steak fajitas on a sizzling platter. Came with side of flour tortillas, guacamole, beans and rice. Flavor good but not the best in the area. I have only ever ordered to go here but today my wife and I ate in. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. It was very clean with beautiful decor. Our waitress was so nice and got everything correct. The food was hot and fresh. Their salsa is so good and they give it with chips. Fresh lemon for our water as well we were so happy. After coming here many times this will be the last. Ordered a shredded chicken burrito that tasted really bad (rotten or old sauce/chicken) smelled terrible. Returned it back and I was still charged for it. I was told we won't get a refund because we ordered a lot of food? Terrible service and quality of food spend your money somewhere else. Ordered drinks 2 appetizers, 2 burritos and ceviche plate for 5 people. They can keep the $16 I hope this spares others the hassle. Really disgusting. My friends and I wanted to get some street tacos after golf. Personally I wanted to just chill out in some AC room and enjoy the street tacos. One of the staff members of the Marriott Shadow Ridge Golf Course recommended this restaurant even though I did find one that had rave reviews. Fortunately this was a regular sit down restaurant with street tacos as well as a whole lunch menu of various Mexican dishes. We were seated promptly and the restaurant was fully occupied even after 1 pm. It seems that a lot of the local Mexican people who live an work around the area come here for their meals. I ordered their Camarones Al Ajillo which is shrimps sauteed in a buttery garlic sauce and chilli flakes. I recall one friend ordering three Carne Asada tacos which turned out to be pretty full with meat and the other ordering the Carlos Burrito which has shrimp anf chicken mixed in it. Service was very good but they had one person take our drink orders and another person taking our food orders. The food came out pretty quick and it tasted quite good. I loved the garlicky flavor of the shrimps which went well with the spanish rice and refried beans. Of course Mexican Coca-Cola hits the spot perfectly. Based on what I ate, I would consider this an option to visit again the next time I am in the area. read more

Staff is welcoming and friendly.. though we noticed there was a delay in service. We arrived around 11 am and there was already a decent amount of people. They have live music on Sunday's. A trio that plays classical Mexican ballads. They sing very well and add to the ambience of this Mexican restaurant. The main vocalist takes request and comes and sings are at your table! Our food took a while to arrive but I want to say it was mainly because of the amount of people putting in to go orders. They offer chips and Salsa and it's made fresh! Went to dinner with family and we were greeted right away as we walked in! We sat at our table and as soon as our waitress was done helping another table she came over and greeted us and took our drink order which we order chavelas! She brought out are drinks very quickly and the were good size drinks and very good! She then took our food order and we didn't have to wait long at all before she brought our food order to us and man was it filling and delicious! The place was very calm and relaxing for a dinner on a Saturday night! I ordered biria (stew) and torta for lunch. Biria had this funny, unusual taste to it. It was quite gamey, Definitely didn't taste like beef. I ate only small portion of it and I got super sick; vomit and diarrhea for 2 days. In addition service was mediocre and prices were way too high like for what this place is. They aspire to be a fancy restaurant by pricing their menu exorbitantly high, but the quality of food is simply just not there. Lastly, all the front row parking spaces are reserved for food delivery. All 5 of them. Whereas for the dine in guests you are on your own, trying to find parking further away and walk. At lunch time there was not a single food delivery cars in any of those front row parking spaces. Whoever thought about that one was a genius. read more

Ordered the shrimp fajitas. About half way through my meal I realized the shrimp had not been cleaned and had shit all over them. Completely disgusting, but also completely lazy, dangerous and disrespectful from the restaurant. When I told the server about it, their first words weren't "I'm sorry," but, "I know." It was a Sunday night and there was an active sand storm and the restaurant was packed, which indicated that was the spot to be! The restaurant had been recommended to my friend. Although it was busy, we were seated within five minutes and the service was good. We got chips and salsa and had our drink order within a minute of sitting down! It was really difficult to decide what to order because there are so many good things on the menu. The four of us each decided on a different item. What a LUNCH! The server was there quickly to get us seated ( Party of 4 ) and get our order started. Now granted we came in at prime time for lunch and the place was packed. We had live music and the AC was pumping. The food was great and the portions were satisfying. We ordered taquitos, hard shell tacos/enchilada combo, huevos rancheros and a chili verde burrito. Everything was great except for some reason the Chili Verde sauce didn't get the wow factor and yes, because we came in at a peak hour it took a little longer than expected to get our food. Taqueria, San Miguel on Ramon. Food is very authentic IMO. They USED to always have warm, fresh chips/salsa but last several times, seems like chips aren't as fresh, nor warm, which is why the 4 stars. Service is constantly good. Ambiance is typical of most Mexican restaurants, not high end, just average, but, you will find authentic food with dishes Ive never seen or heard of. Huge selection of interesting cocktails but we typically get their margaritas. They have regular or cadillac style, beware of the Cadillac ones, just sayin! The location in Thousand Palms is our favorite place for Mexican cuisine. The Cathedral City location is just as good. A huge menu and always consistently good. The waitstaff are all very friendly and attentive. The chiles gueritos are delicious little Chiles stuffed with small shrimp and melted cheese. Went in for takeout on a recommendation from a friend. After two burritos and a shrimp cocktail was $54, I questioned the portions and proceeded to show them the horrible $12 al pastor burrito, I was met with shrugged shoulders and told that's just how it is. I'm trying to figure out how there's no great Mexican food in the coachella Valley. It's obvious that this place is all about overpriced pitchers of fruity kid drinks instead of having great food.
