Started with a peach blended margarita and it was spot on. Smooth, refreshing, and not overly sweet. Easy to sip and a great way to start. For food, I went with the spinach enchilada meal with beans and rice. The enchiladas were flavorful and satisfying, with a nice balance in the filling and sauce. The beans and rice were solid sides and rounded everything out well. The place has a relaxed, comfortable vibe, and the staff was friendly and attentive. Walked in the guy looked at us annoyed. We sat down and he walked away with his black booklet down the back of his pants. Looked like it was touching his Crack. We had to order by yelling at him across the room. The floors were dirty. The staff was dirty and the menus were dirty. Not even paper towels in the bathroom. We left a minute after we ordered. Very disappointed, I ordered a carnitas burrito and it came with no rice and no beans and a very small side of green sauce. This place is located in a newer strip mall. It is a smaller place and it was packed on Saturday night. This is more of a casual place. We ordered the chicken and beef fajitas. We decided to split the meal because we already ate some snacks prior to dinner. Chips and salsa came prior to the meal. The chicken was tender. The beef was a bit tough, maybe not cut on a bias. The fajitas were a lot of food and we got charged $3 for split plate. There were 2 TVs showing sports, but no sound. Plenty of parking in the parking lot. read more

Excellent atmosphere, great service and delicious food. The carne en su jugo was found in the soup section of the menu. It is a regional dish from the State of Jalisco, and not commonly found in most Mexican restaurants. It was served with tortillas. It was so huge, I only was able to eat half of it. I also recommend the appetizer of chile guero, which is essentially an open chile relleno using a guero pepper. I really enjoyed a dinner here with friends. The background music did not dominate, so we were able to have a good conversation. Highly recommended. read more

I'm in Palm Desert for spending last drop of summer and was craving an authentic Mexican food. Yelp didn't disappoint me when it came to this. Tried this place and as soon as we sat down, Eddie came with complimentary chips and salsa. The drinks we ordered were pretty good, they gave us really great pour. The kids chicken taco was satisfying and my daughter finished her whole meal. The burrito and fajitas are just fantastic, with so much flavor yet not overwhelming with spices. My Mexican breakfast with shredded beef, egg and veggies are just perfect for dinner. Lastly, their salsa is addicting. There were a few big hits and a few big misses. Ambiance- it's in a shopping center, next to a CVS- not great but they've made it comfortable considering. We came on a weekday evening with a party of 8 and they were able to accommodate us by joining two tables together. The staff was actually very accommodating but sometimes that wasn't a good thing. For instance, my father in law asked if they had Arnold Palmer and they said yes they could do that. They brought him back a plain iced tea- they didn't have lemonade. And then there's the chips. Oh man they were the worst, most inedible chips I've ever had at a restaurant. Apparently there was a delivery issue so they made their own chips with tortillas- you couldn't even bite through them, they could pull your tooth out with how hard they were. They brought them to every table and every table complained and they mentioned the delivery issue. It was a bummer because the salsa was really good! Thankfully, the pre-mentioned CVS next door- I walked over and bought a bag of chips myself. Which would've been what the restaurant could've and should've done. Other than those things- the food was good! My Minerva burrito was excellent. My mother in law liked her veggie tacos, my husband loved his chile rellano. We might've just come here on a bad night. This place is always busy! Went in for dinner on a Saturday night luckily we got a table. Service is a little slow, but granted there's only two servers for the entire restaurant. I had a Carne Asada taco and Al pastor a la cart. They were OK. I probably wouldn't get them again. I also had the elote Loco which tasted like it was missing something. The food here was amazing, I'm not a big Mexican food fan outside of home, but my gosh this was delicious. We got the chili Colorado chimichanga that IS NOT on the menu however they made it for us with no hesitation. Best chili Colorado I've ever had. The rice was cooked perfectly aswell. We will be back next year for the festival and will absolutely make a stop here again. The waiters were nothing but nice, food was brought out in a timely manner. I ordered a shrimp cocktail with no onions. Not only did it have onions, it had i would say a half an onion. More onion than shrimp. I wish I had taken a picture. I can't blame the cooks because the owner/server never told him. My husband said his dinner was decent but too expensive for the food. If I am ever in this area, I will never go back. This used to be one of our favorite spots. We would eat there every week or two, and it was one of the places we always brought out of town guests. For us, the food and the service was very good. The last 2 times we've been there everything was just off. The food wasn't the same and the service wasn't great, even though there were only a couple of tables occupied. A very neighborhood joint located in a strip mall. Some great food, served in a nice place. It was relatively busy too given the time we were there and that the mostly older crowd in PD tends to eat on the early side. Our waiter was really grumpy, acted disinterested and the service was from him was off the mark. I noticed it wasn't just us he was not happy serving, maybe just having a bad night. But that wasn't going to spoil the whole thing for us. And the waitress serving the table next to us helped us out, refilling our water glasses and getting the check. The slivers of avocado and the sprinkled cheese were such a great touch and was exactly what I was looking for. They have an outdoor patio dining area which I love in the cooler months. I've made friends with groups at other tables who have invited me over to share margaritas! The staff here are so awesome, very personable and they always remember me. If ever I'm feeling yucky with a cold my husband knows the way to get me to feel better is to pick up some chicken tacos from Flor De Jalisco. Such a gem! read more
