Drove by this place a few times and I heard some good stuff about it so I stopped in one night, sat at the bar and looked at this wonderful menu, while having a very tasty margarita looking at their wide selection of tequilas I knew I was in the right place. They had things on their menu that I haven't seen on other menus in the valley, which got me very excited. I ordered some of the grilled squid, which was phenomenal! I've only had it in Mexico the only time I've had Mexican style other than Greek style, and the sauces that came with it were Delicious to say the least. The waitresses service people were extremely friendly, smiling faces. The place was packed and I had to come back a few weeks later for some more authentic Mexican cuisine and again was delighted by the deliciousness of their food. The menu had so many options it took me a while to decide, so I'm definitely coming back lol. Although it was getting busy when we arrived, the server and the entire staff had amazing attitudes. One of my buds lives out here in the desert and makes regular trips to Mexico, so when he recommends Mexican I'm all ears. Located in a strip mall close to the Agua Caliente Casino, Taqueria San Miguel is an unassuming little place but judging by constant rotation of diners is pretty popular with the locals. We elected to sit in the patio because it was pretty nice outside and shortly after we got our menus. Taqueria San Miguel has a large menu full of favorites. Burritos, tortas, mariscos and even breakfast are found within the ten or so pages. Each dish has a picture of what you'll get and it doesn't make the choice any easier. They also have a full bar inside if you're craving a chevela, michelada or margarita. I went with the Burrito Chili Verde. Really good as it was loaded with tender pork and the sauce was just right. Even the beans and rice were super tasty. The service was...OK. It was like they couldn't do two things at once. Everything was brought separately from menus to water to the chips and salsa. Kinda weird but they were friendly! While I'm not a regular to the desert, I'd give Taqueria San Miguel another shot if I was in the area. The atmosphere was pleasant (helped by the great weather) and the food was very good. Evenings might be the best time to visit because of a live band. Recommended! read more

So first time here and it was pretty good. They have a good selection of items on there menu. I had the carnitas enchiladas with a green sauce and rice and beans. Everything was flavorful especially the beans, real authentic tasting. I think the salsa could have been spicier and the tortillas they used were rather small. Service was excellent we eat outside in their covered shaded patio, was very comfortable and they allowed our dog. But the food is why you need to eat here. Large menu selection and lots of seafood options. We took our waitress recommendations and were extremely impressed. Much better and fast service than my last visit. Last time I waited 20 minutes and left without food. This time the host came right away when I was at the chained (?) host podium. I was greeted by a server right away. I didn't see any of the old crew. The new crew seems to be on top of things. I am so glad and thankful. My last 2 visits were really awful. That not saying a lot since I am known to more considering and emphatic to the service industry people. Like I said I am pleased with the performance of the new staff. Wow, this place has the best menudo that I've had in the valley. The service was very nice and did a great job at curbside. I also ordered two tacos and a medium shrimp cocktail. The tacos had great flavor, but were a little dry. The birria taco I ordered made me happy because I'm pretty sure they used goat meat! Most places don't make it authentically like this. For drinks, my boyfriend and brother ordered a michelerita (with shrimp and cucumber), and I got a michelada. For appetizers, my cousin ordered the chiles gueritos and agua chiles with green sauce. Oh man. The agua chiles were good, but I put a little bit too much sauce on my serving. It was SPICY. It took me a while to start eating my tacos, but next time I'll know. Well, we were in the Rea for the weekend and a friend told us she'd discovered a great Mexican place nearby. Our first visit (a Friday) was amazing. Everything tasted perfect, good service, etc. so we went back again 2 days later (Sun). Totally different experience second time. We couldn't flag down a server to save our lives. We had to keep asking one of the runners each time we needed something--like placing our order, getting drinks refilled, getting our check and getting our credit card back after payment. Our food was good, despite the frustration, and also kind of pricey.
