Chicken tacos. HUGE deep fried rolled tacos. Very mild - I added tobacco because I like a little kick - but the flavor was wonderful!

Sooo when we looked it up on Yelp we were leaving class at NLI with our brains swirling after a full day of learning! I quickly searched for 'Mexican' food - saw this and landed ourselves in a quaint little restaurant. We didn't realize it was Honduran until waking in - hey cool - try something new! The menu did have English translation ( yay) but no prices ( oht oh). Normally when you walk into place and they don't have any prices on the menu unless your wallet is packed full of happy money or a really great credit card you probably should turn and walk out. Realizing I didn't think this was that type of place we stayed. We ordered what was the equivalent of chicken tacos and let me tell you it was the best food decision of the day. The serving sizes were huge on the plate it came looking delicious and he still delicious. The server although we did not equally communicate because of our language barrier, was super sweet and very efficient. The food was amazing. Which just goes to show that sometimes those hole in the wall places really are the best place to stop. My meal ( which turned out to be two full meals for me) with bottled water was $8.45! Yes - WOW!! If you want to try something a little bit different than your typical Spanish fair please stop in to this restaurant!

This hole in the wall is the real deal. I'm honduran so I know my food. Prices are very affordable, delicious authentic honduran food. Highly recommended!

Decided to try this place out with a Honduran friend of mine, and thank goodness I did because none of the staff on duty spoke english. I wasn't perturbed by this in the least, in fact I rather enjoyed it. Delicious and cheap! I highly recommend this place. (Bring a Spanish speaker with you!)

Tiny place with awesome Honduran food and even better prices. Large portions of authentic Honduran flavors. Food gets served in paper plates which I don't mind and if you want caldos on the weekend make sure to call in your order since they sell out. It is the best Honduran restaurant in Dfw in my opinion.

Electronic menu and advertising sign. File under "two birds, one stone."

The space that this little treat occupies has been many things in the past. I have to say Catrachito is by far the best one. It doesn't look like much from the outside nor does that assessment change upon entering but once you begin eating the food, all worry and doubt falls away. I've eaten Salvadorian, Mexican, Cuban, and Puerto Rican food and Honduran food is very similar to Cuban and Puerto Rican with hints of other Caribbean countries. I had a carne asada dish with plaintans, rice, refried back beans. It was a lot of food for the price (inexpensive)! The atmosphere is homey like being in someone's home kitchen. They have traditional and an electronic menu with full color pictures of the dishes. It seemed as if others who came in after us got served first. I'm guessing it's because of what we ordered. Everything was fresh and definitely worth the wait (30 mins). I'll go back because it's walking distance from my house and the food was tasty.

Low lighting, beautiful glassware, just an all around vibe. They were pretty slow but it was also a Wednesday night. Drinks were amazing and they had a lot of options. I got the Guava Sunset and it was so refreshing (pictured). We also got the ceviche which tasted very fresh and was a good portion for an appetizer. The filet was perfectly cooked and the chimichurri sauce was to die for. I forgot to take a picture of it because we dug in as soon as it landed on the table. Service felt very personable which I enjoyed. They also gave my date a rose at the end of our meal to give to me which I thought was a nice touch. Overall, great first impression and we will definitely be back! Or I may even bring the girlies for a girls night! Side note.. I'm not sure why reviews are so negative, as new restaurants deserve grace while they figure out what works for them and I think we all need to have a little patience and understanding.

I ended up grabbing street parking a few blocks over with a 2-Hr limit. Next, we had reservations at 8 PM and there really weren't many guests, which is pretty off for dinner time. The ambiance and overall aesthetic of the space is nice. The music isn't loud so you can easily carry a conversation. My personal highlight from the night was the complimentary alcohol-free shot the very kind bartender provided for me. I'm sober so I appreciated feeling like everyone else! Lastly, the food was terrible and over priced. I was hoping to like the lobster bisque but was greatly disappointment. It taste like velvetta cheese and was extremely bland and lumpy. Almost like they receive it frozen and heat it up before serving. Out of all the 4 dishes, only the lamb chops were really good. One of my friends got the chicken Alfredo and said it taste like warmed up Olive Garden. My other friend got the Carne de Fuego which is suppose to be Waygu beef and wasn't. With a price of $59 with ONLY 4 pieces of asparagus as a side, we were expecting more. I ended up sending the lobster bisque back and settling for the caesar salad (no protein) which was $15.

We had seen the place on Yelp and planned to grab something quick to go, but it turned into a great stop. The location is fantastic and convenient near the airport. The hostess was welcoming right away and directed us to the bar so we could place a quick to-go order. At the bar, the bartender gave excellent service and convinced us to try a couple of tacos along with the yuca fries and plantains we originally planned to order--and I'm glad he did. The Tacos Al Carbón were outstanding: grilled fajita beef with sautéed poblano and onion on flour tortillas topped with pico de gallo and guacamole. The steak was tender and full of flavor. The beans and rice were just right, and the plantains with coconut sauce were a perfect addition. The bartender also recommended a Stone Delicious IPA, which made the short wait enjoyable. We grabbed a Tamarindo agua fresca and bolitas de yuca for the road--light, flavorful, and perfect for the drive. Great food, great service, and a great find near the airport. Definitely worth stopping in.

We tried a Tamarindo fresh water - it was really but costly $7. Then, the Chicken Pozole Verde was delicious - amazing flavors, I almost cry... Oliver's tostada was very good too, the mix of flavor with Guajillo salsa was perfect. As dessert, I had a fried sweet plantains with special sweet cream I will definitely return
