The service is good and the menu is on QR code. The restaurant needs you to know they are Honduran. There are decorations and flags everywhere. The people here are nice, but they can't explain menu in English. But they know the menu in English when you order. The food is delicious. We came for breakfast: nothing spectacular. The high point was the bread: chewy and flavorful. Would return if in the neighborhood. I was pleasantly surprised by this hole in the wall restaurant. Restaurant was clean, and the server was extremely nice. We ordered the carne asada and fried red snapper, and received the free baleada from check-in. The baleada had a very flaky soft and buttery texture, similar to a roti, which went well with the beans inside. The carne asadas were cooked nicely, tender, and the portion was generous. The plantains were fried nicely as well, not cut too thick. The fish was my favorite. They managed to fry the outside crisp while keeping the meat moist. The garlic fried with the fish gave it a great flavor as well. Their horchata was very good as well. Gigantic cup, not too much ice, heavy with the cream and cinnamon, not watered down at all. Wow, wow, wow!!! What an expertise! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed! I could smell authentic Honduran food!!! The restaurant is decorated with Honduran artifacts starting on the outside with 3 large Honduran flags and upon entering, there are large and small wall decorations with Honduran currency, Honduran pottery decorations, and large screen TVs. Upon entering, you are welcome to sit anywhere, there's a QR code for the menu which has all typical and traditional Honduran foods. We were welcomed by Sandra's son, the tall and handsome one who literally had the heart of gold!! He was patient and explained what each plate entailed. I wanted to try everything so I started with an order of pastelitos, tostada, Yuca con Chicharrón, and as my main dish I ordered the carne asada and tajadas plate. Then I ordered a traditional Baleada. All that food was for 2 people!! Lol While waiting for the food, l ordered a nance and a tamarindo beverage. The nance was phenomenal!!! The ambiance at the restaurant was great, the music was at the perfect at an audible sound allowing for great conversations. Then the food arrived and wow, the presentation was amazing and the flavors were more delicious than the presentation, if that's even possible!!! The pastelitos were crunchy and the meat and papas were super flavorful, accompanied by the shredded cabbage and pickled onions put them over the top!!! My taste buds were definitely dancing to not only the music but the flavors in my mouth The yuca was crispy and delicious and the chicharrón was crunchy, meaty, and delish!!! The tostada was crunchy, flavorful, topped w meat & papas, cabbage, pickled onions, did not disappoint!!! Then I tasted amazing- the carne asada plate!! The meat was tender and perfectly marinated, literarily melt in my mouth and the papas fritas were so good!!! While eating, Sandra (owner) whom I called Sandrita showed up to our table to ask how the food was, I told her we had to go back in a couple of days prior to going back to Cali!!! Was in Dallas for 1 week and that was the only place where I wanted to go back because everything was so sooo good!! I also ordered the coco dessert and it was incredible!!! It was definitely an experience! Then while paying, there was a gentleman sitting w/ Sandra who asked if I had ever been to Pulha Honduras where he showed us the most beautiful waterfall. A Saturday afternoon adventure placed us in Dallas. My sponsor found a Honduran restaurant with good reviews. It is a quaint regionally decorated owner operated restaurant. After a conversation with the owner we narrowed our selection of sides to traditional paring. At the recommendation of the owner, we started with a large tortilla with beans, cream and cheese. A perfect way to start the meal. We made an error by asking for chips and salsa...wrong cuisine. The flavors were so well blended that we were ecstatic about our meals. San Pedro's is the first place I've tried Honduran cuisine, and it has been a delightfully surprising experience. Every time I eat there the food is prepared fresh and the portions are very generous for the price. My favorite dish has to be the fried chicken, I tried the quarter leg of chicken and it was massive! Not only was it a large hearty piece of chicken, but they must brine or marinate the chicken meat because every bite of that chicken was flavor packed and very moist. They've also made it into the top 100 restaurants in DFW thanks in large part to their beef soup. Again, first time I ordered it I was surprised by how large the serving was. Rich beefy broth with a mix of vegetables cooked to just the right firmness for me (soft enough you can get a good bite without a lot of resistance, but not falling apart soft). My favorite part of the dining experience is talking to the owner Sandra and learning about Honduran cuisine and trying all the different drinks and snacks that the restaurant sells to bring a little bit of Honduras to Dallas, TX. If you're looking for good hearty meals at a very reasonable price, and a warm inviting atmosphere you should definitely come eat at San Pedro's Restaurant! read more

I would not recommend going to this restaurant. I've given it a try a couple of times but it's not worth it. The first time I went I got the typical fried chicken with plantains, the serving size was small considering the price, they also charge extra if you ask for the chicken breast. The taste was nothing special. The server was not friendly, her attitude made us feel as if we were inconveniencing her by being there. The second time I ordered baleadas. They are NOT generous or at least fair with what they serve. I was very disappointed when I got mine, the tortilla is big and soft, but there were barely any beans, cheese or cream in it (picture attached). It wasn't only mine, but everybody else's were the same, even the more expensive ones. I could only taste the flour tortilla and and nothing else! In total we ordered 8 baleadas, 2 with red meat, 2 with chicken and the rest were plain baleadas. But we basically paid almost $40 for 8 flour tortillas. Very disappointing. read more
