I made an appointment on Sunday evening through their online appointment system. I chose a "Gelish French Manicure" with Mina (based solely on the great reviews) for the following Tuesday morning at 11. Monday night I received an email stating that my appointment had been rescheduled. They changed the appointment time to 10:45 with Sonia. This was my first visit and I thought that was strange, but I figured that Mina might have had an emergency so I decided to go and give Sonia a chance. I arrived at 10:45 and there was a bit of confusion. The receptionist said that I had an 11:00 appointment for eyebrow threading...what? I told them what I had originally scheduled and that they had rescheduled my appointment. Mina came to the front desk and said, "We will take care of you, don't worry". They proceeded to seat me in the threading chair and asked me to wait. Mina was very disorganized. I sat there for a couple of minutes before Mina escorted me to the manicure table. She began putting the nail polish remover onto the cotton, but then realized she didn't have any foil to remove the gel polish already on my fingers. She went station to station trying to locate some foil. She ended up getting the roll of foil and tearing a couple of large pieces and bringing them back to the manicure table. She then tore foil as she worked on each finger. Since the foil was being torn on the spot there were all sizes and shapes and I had a variety of large globs of foil at the end of my fingers (normally they have right-sized foil that wraps neat and tight around the end of the finger). As she scrunched the foil over my fingers we discussed that I had requested the french manicure...she informed me that she doesn't do french manicures! Once all 10 fingers were soaking she said that I needed to sit there for 5 minutes. So I sat; and sat, as she applied hair color to another client. After 20 minutes it was clear that making an appointment with this salon did not mean anything. As I took the foil off the ends of my fingers, I gathered my things and told her that I was not going to wait any longer. The customer service here is awful. There is no way any stylist can do hair on one customer at the same time that they are doing nails on another. Why they didn't call me and ask if I could come earlier or later it was a big waste of my time. Such poor business practice! read more

I was in desperate need of an eyebrow threading and my regular go-to gal was not available. So after checking my trusty Yelp, I checked this place out. I scheduled an appointment and was promptly greeted when I arrived. I am giving 3 stars because I was not 100% satisfied with the work. I'm pretty picky when it comes to my eyebrows. While the woman doing my brows meant well, she didn't do so well. I was left with one brow being thicker than the other. Mind you, I already had a shape and mostly came in for a clean-up. After I pointed out the thicker brow, she went back over it to thin it down, but not much had changed. :-( I also asked her to add more of an arch in the brows, which she did do. Overall, I had a good experience. Not sure if I would return for brow threading unless I were in a crunch. Then again, for $5, I shouldn't complain too much. Another spa in the metro area charges $27 just for brow threading! The ladies are all very sweet and aim to make customers happy. They recommend appointments, but at the time I went, there was only one other person having their brows done. It wasn't very busy. The decor was typical spa and the music playing was the serene stuff you'd hear when getting a massage. It was like entering a sanctuary. I might try it again for a different service. read more

This place was very nice and clean but I would not come here for the traditional mani-pedi..I went there with an appointment and had to wait for Anna to finish another girl's pedicure so I ended up leaving because I didn't have much time. This is mainly a threading place. I'm sure Anna does a good job but there's only two chairs and she does your nails while you're sitting in the massage chair. Definitely not what I'm used to. Love this place! I come here to get my eyebrows threaded by Madeira for only $7. She does a great job and takes her time. I LOVE Anna for the great massages she gives! I've been to about six different places for a massage and, BY FAR, Anna has been the best masseuse out of all of them. She is from Taiwan and uses unique and effective techniques. The massages here include the warm body oil/lotion, coconut oil for your hair, and hot towels. The setting with the dim lighting and soft music is relaxing. Price is moderate ($70 for 60 min. but make sure to ask for the $5 off coupon). Now I'll never go to anyone else besides Anna!! read more

Why is it so hard to find a decent salon in this area? This is my second salon disappointment after moving to VA. I guess threading was OK but the professionalism was definitely missing. The lady doing my eyebrow and facial had an odor about her and didn't use sanitizer. She seemed like she was in a rush and ignored my request for pressure. I was hoping for this to be my go to place in this town as I did like the ambiance. After the service I got it - that it was just to lure you in to take your money. Looking at their prices, I was NOT expecting top-notch fluffy service but common courtesy and professionalism AT the LEAST. My eyebrows look great! Not only is the price awesome ($8 vs $12 at Brow Art in Fair Oaks Mall), but the woman who did my brows paused before moving onto my second brow to make sure the shape was what I wanted. Of course before every eyebrow threading you should lay out every detail of what you would like done, but that was very refreshing. Friendly staff as well. In between Gold's Gym and a Scuba store. I will be coming back here next time my eyebrows need to be tamed. I told my sisters and best friend about this place too! read more

Love this place! Truly a hidden gem. $8 for an amazing thread job for eyebrows - can't beat that! I've had a few different stylists do my brows and every single one has been very professional, courteous, and precise. Worst employee etiquette! Ms.Sana I am so sad to review you because of your one employee behaviour which i witnessed yesterday. I was there for threading service when this incident happened. One of the other employee did no wrong by offering a chair to a pregnant lady when this rude employee ran out of her way to offer it to her customer.I remember her name after the entire incident as Indira. She was so rude and very dramatic in front of bunch of employees and also customers. Everybody were blindly watching instead of saying her to shut up.This is not the first time i saw this kind happening right in-front of customers but feel sad that your reputation is going in vain because of this. We love your spa and your talented employees but please have a line of control of what they do in front of your clients. Called in and asked if they're still accepting walk in pedicures and the lady said yes. I got there less than 10 mins. Checked in at 7:04 pm and sat till 7:22 before I had a chance to speak to someone. So the pedicure isn't going to happen. I just wished someone told me this when I walked in. They have a sign in list. But honestly only use it for the next wax job. I certainly hope this doesn't Happen to a lot of customers. Beware. I got my waxing done here before my wedding and Mariam did such a thorough and gentle job! She was meticulous about making sure all the hair was removed and mindful of my comfort. Tell her if you have sensitive skin in advance so she can take precautions accordingly. She also does a great job with threading (some ladies mess up my arches! grrr! I have recently started going to this place and I must say it has exceeded my expectation. Having tried so many threading places over the last 10+ years, this is by far the best. I get threading from Saku and she is absolutely courteous, friendly and very professional. I recently got a facial from her and was very satisfied by the level of product used as well as the service. She takes time both to explain and provide the service. This place is a full service Spa, I plan to get a massage soon. Highly recommend. Just yesterday I went to the Sana Day Spa location in Chantilly and had booked an appointment with Marium for my daughter to get her eyebrows and upper lip threaded. She took less than 10 minutes rushing the entire process making her feel extremely uncomfortable and all together making her crying at the end of it because of how her eyebrows turned out. She realized what she had done when my daughter showed her, but she did nothing to change it and seemed like she didn't care WHATSOEVER. My daughter even had multiple red marks where she aggressively applied quick strokes to her nose, cheek, and forehead, even though she only needed her eyebrows and upper lip threaded. Never will I book with Marium again. Her work is very sloppy and she seems extremely impatient. read more

I have never been here for eyebrow threading, this review is purely about their manicure and pedicure service. For nail polish selection, they have both OPI and Essie. If I am not mistaken, there is only one technician, Anna. At first, we were off to a good start, she seems nice and friendly. My problem is that she seems hasty and lack focus. She didn't completely remove my old polish, picked up the phone and started talking while working on me, forgot to file/buff my nails on one feet, and the last straw for me was when she removed the dead skin from my feet, she scraped off a deep piece of my flesh. The next day, the cut was swollen and red, like it got infected or something. Two weeks later, I still can't wear shoes with covered heel because it is a bit painful, there is still a big, thick scab. Ok, I know that accident happens, the reason I give a 1 star rating is because I feel like it could have been prevented if she wasn't all rushy rushy and more meticulous. In addition, other than an "I am sorry" there is no other compensation. Also, if sanitation is important to you then this is not the place. Both the bathroom and nail station were dirty. I was not 100% sure if the towel were fresh. read more
