Great price! $5.00 for my eyebrows. The shop is clean and the staff was friendly. There are not a lot of places in No VA where you can get your eyebrows threaded and certainly not for $5.00. I walked in without an appointment this morning and they were able to help me right away. I will definitely go back for my eyebrows. I was on my lunch break and I decided to get my toes done. My lunch break was an hour, so I couldn't really wait. So I walked in and was met with a beautiful smile. Anna. I explained to her that I only had an hour and if she can't do it, than that's okay as well. Without a question, she sat me down and while my feet where soaking, she gave me candy and an amazing hand scrub that soon after was put on my legs. She was caring, her hospitality was amazing. The time did go over by a little, but I was no where near upset because of how wonderful she is at her craft and how amazing her customer service is. This is the first time I've been to this spa. It's right down the street from my house and I've never noticed it. It's located next to the Gold's Gym. The place is nice and clean. When you walk in you'll first notice the calming music (after all it is a spa). I didn't have an appointment but I was able to walk in for a mani/pedi. I must say Anna gives the BEST pedicure ever! She is a true professional that takes pride in her work. She takes her time and makes sure she removes every callus/dead skin from your feet and every dry cuticle is removed to perfection. I'm a guy, and one of those people who generally does not want anyone touching my feet. However, after my first hip replacement, I could not reach my feet to take care of my nails myself. I read some reviews, and decided to go with Sana Day Spa. All the staff were friendly when I arrived. Anna is the only one who does the men's sports pedicure. When she was done, my feet looked and felt fantastic. She's very personable. So I went back every couple of months. The first hip replacement was in November 2013, the second was April 2015. So I've been going to Anna for pedicures for almost two years, and I really don't want to go anywhere else. Guys, try it at least once. I still don't like anyone touching my feet, but Anna does a great job, and it's got to be done. I give her the highest recommendation. read more

I love that I can pretty much walk it at any time and not wait very long for eyebrow threading. They always do a great job and the price is very reasonable. I have also tried the massages there. The massage was very good, but I thought it was a little expensive for what you get. It's not exactly a "spa" environment, but they do their best to make it relaxing. One nice thing is that they seem to be able to take walk-ins for all of their services, so if it's hard for you to schedule/keep appointments, this place is a great option. read more

Second trip did not go so well, wife is not happy. First trip she saw Sana, this trip was someone else and she was not very good. Didn't ask questions about what my wife wnted and was somewhat rude and opinionated. She overdid the job on the eyebrows and amde them too thin in my and my wifes opinion. When i made a comment about them being too thin she tried to make it my wifes fault. Also made some comment about Koreans that my wife didn't like (my wife is Korean), and she said she was a bit rough with the thread. Bottom line, if Sana is not there she will leave and come back when she is! read more

Always a great place for brow threading. For someone frugal like myself, I am taking down one star because it used to be $7 2 years ago but now it's $8 which is still reasonable but please don't raise it anymore. Coming from Queens, NY I refuse to pay more than $8 for eyebrows because in NY I use to pay $3 for excellent work by Bengalis. But for Northern VA, Sana is hands down the best place!!! Mariam does my eyebrows- she is very gentle and takes her time. She cares about your concerns and she always make sure you leave happy. I give her more than 50% tip which I end up paying only $13 in total. At the mall threading eyebrows alone is $12 so imagine how much you end paying in total when leaving a tip.... and they do not do a great job as Sanas salon!! I highly recommend this place!!!! read more

I'm surprised to see all the positive reviews for this place. The woman who did my brows was not Sana but one of the other two working there. They were uneven and she was very abrasive, completely ripped the skin off my brow leaving marks. Also their selection of gel colors for nails is tiny. The place was super busy when I came in and I had to wait 20 minutes although I had an appointment. From what it seems most people were there for Sana. Won't return! read more

I have mixed feeling about this place. Once I wanted to try to get a facial. During the facial the lady tells me "your a little fat" I was 6 months pregnant. It made me so upset I cried after leaving. Maybe it's good for some people. But I feel it's not consistent sometimes they will do a good job the next time it'd crapy. My experience for Hair cut was terrible! Just before an hour for my appointment, I receive a call from the salon checking if I can stop by 1 hour late, as they have another customer running late. I mentioned my appointment was booked few days ago and I have another place to go later. However when I arrived, I waited for 5 mins and they were able to accommodate me. With the hair stylist, I clearly emphasized to trim and she told she'll cut an inch and showed me how much she is cutting. The stylist was multitasking, washing other customer's hair, coloring and got back after 10 mins and continued. She completely made my hair short and didn't even style or blow dry my hair and told I had opted for a hair cut only. I reiterated, I had asked for styling as well however she can't blow dry to service another customer. She can blow dry and style after 15-20 mins, argh!! The outcome was a bad looking hair and let down customer experience! That's my last visit, not returning for sure! read more

You must pay in cash, kind of a hassle. I just had my brows shaped and cleaned a bit. The woman did a decent job but I was hoping for a more refined, striking look. They are average looking - kind of like I just tweezed really well along a line. I pay for some experience for the shape of my face. They have an online appointment system but don't care too much to follow it (I scheduled an appointment, walked in and said "they were ready for me", but then later asked my name on the appointment book.) read more

This place being so close to my house I was looking around different places and spend much more than necessary. They shaped my eyebrows so well and beautiful, which led me try their other products. I have tried their pedicure, it was decent definitely was great compared in that area. The girls at the salon are very friendly and treat you nicely. Again you cannot beat the prices. I came here for the first time and am disappointed to say that I had a less than ideal experience here regardless of the 4.5 star yelp review. I asked the woman on the phone if there were any openings today, and she initially said no. When I told her that online there were several openings, she then spoke to somebody (I could not understand) and said I could come in the afternoon. So to cut to the chase, eyebrow and upper lip threading was great, but hair was not. The chair you sit in to wash your hair is very uncomfortable as it had no back support and the neck rest was hard, so I had to kind of hold myself up a bit. I asked for a deep conditioner and the woman put it all over my hair, not just the tips. I always thought you don't want to put it at the root because it makes it look greasy but I didn't question her. The haircut itself was OK, but she did not know how to style my hair properly. I asked for wavy, she looked a bit confused and attempted to pull the curling iron downward horizontally, which resulted in a kinky curled mess. When I realized she continued on with the same method, I asked her to change to straight instead. I felt like she burned the crap out of my hair from how many times she passed through. By the end, my hair was completely flat and my bangs were, low and behold, greasy and stringy. I ended up coming home, rewashing it and curling it myself and I felt soo much better. I think this place has high reviews for its threading services, but based on my experience, definitely not for the hair. Maybe it was just the stylist I had, but I don't want to single her out. She was very nice and professional but just not experienced. So be careful who you go to. read more

I've been here for 2 services so far. I had a Brazilian wax with Sana and she did a great job. She was professional and kept the conversation going the entire time to distract from the pain and she didn't do any plucking after which I liked. The other service was threading of the upper lip done yesterday. I've had it done at one other place so that's what I can compare it to. Sana is cheaper at $6 for lip versus $12 at the other place. Miriam did my service. But what I noticed here was that the string felt harsher on my skin and she seemed to go over the area more times than I'm used to. As a result, today I have several small pimples. Normally I might get one or two from threading because my skin is very sensitive and waxing is definitely not an option. I will be back for body waxing but may not do threading here again. I'd like to try nail services too! read more

Went here to get a pedicure and manicure for the first time a week or two ago. Initially, when I called I asked for both and the lady said the stylist could only do one which was understandable to a certain extent. When I went in later, the receptionist said that there was time for both. The woman who did my pedicure and manicure was horrible. I didn't even get her name. She was taking personal calls during the entire time and working with one hand because she was holding her cellphone in the other. She did a decent job on my nails which is what gives this review 2 stars, but she honestly had the worst personality ever. When I went to pay, I got charged $45 for both and I tipped $10, but the receptionist made a face when she saw how much I tipped and she subtlely tried to show the stylist how much I paid, and they both muttered things under their breaths. I don't care though, because I tip based on service. And if you give bad service or you're a terrible associate, then yeah, I'm not going to tip you a lot. Overall, this place is decent but there are much better places worth your money. read more

I made an appointment on Sunday evening through their online appointment system. I chose a "Gelish French Manicure" with Mina (based solely on the great reviews) for the following Tuesday morning at 11. Monday night I received an email stating that my appointment had been rescheduled. They changed the appointment time to 10:45 with Sonia. This was my first visit and I thought that was strange, but I figured that Mina might have had an emergency so I decided to go and give Sonia a chance. I arrived at 10:45 and there was a bit of confusion. The receptionist said that I had an 11:00 appointment for eyebrow threading...what? I told them what I had originally scheduled and that they had rescheduled my appointment. Mina came to the front desk and said, "We will take care of you, don't worry". They proceeded to seat me in the threading chair and asked me to wait. Mina was very disorganized. I sat there for a couple of minutes before Mina escorted me to the manicure table. She began putting the nail polish remover onto the cotton, but then realized she didn't have any foil to remove the gel polish already on my fingers. She went station to station trying to locate some foil. She ended up getting the roll of foil and tearing a couple of large pieces and bringing them back to the manicure table. She then tore foil as she worked on each finger. Since the foil was being torn on the spot there were all sizes and shapes and I had a variety of large globs of foil at the end of my fingers (normally they have right-sized foil that wraps neat and tight around the end of the finger). As she scrunched the foil over my fingers we discussed that I had requested the french manicure...she informed me that she doesn't do french manicures! Once all 10 fingers were soaking she said that I needed to sit there for 5 minutes. So I sat; and sat, as she applied hair color to another client. After 20 minutes it was clear that making an appointment with this salon did not mean anything. As I took the foil off the ends of my fingers, I gathered my things and told her that I was not going to wait any longer. The customer service here is awful. There is no way any stylist can do hair on one customer at the same time that they are doing nails on another. Why they didn't call me and ask if I could come earlier or later it was a big waste of my time. Such poor business practice! read more

Was looking for a spa that could do a good gentleman's facial and I found this place by searching the internet and it was a great find. The staff was very hospitable and warm, prices are reasonable. Actually the prices are great. Received a WONDERFUL facial by Mandiea. she really knew what she was doing which was great but also friendly. She made the experience worthwild.
