    Cheese faster and adani chai

From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by how clean and welcoming the place felt, filled with nothing but happy customers enjoying themselves. I was honestly a little nervous to come in at first because it was pretty crowded, but the second Bahar at the front cashier greeted me with such a warm smile, I immediately felt comfortable and welcomed. Now I'm sitting here enjoying the amazing atmosphere, perfectly balanced music, delicious fatayer, and the most authentic Adani chai I've had in a long time. It tastes exactly like home, and that feeling is priceless. Truly a place that makes you feel right at home. This will definitely be my after work spot!! ALLAHUMA BARIK

    "matcha" latte
    Arlene A.

Maybe they're known for other items, but it's not an excuse for their "matcha" (which I'm hesitant to even call it that) to be horrendously bad. On top of it already being expensive, oat milk substitutions were $1.50, and for them to serve me a drink that was 85% milk, 10% syrup, and 5% "matcha" is outright embarrassing. At that point, take it off the menu if you can't make it right. Luckily I got a refund, but service was very slow on a Saturday morning with two people working. Interior was clean, but I won't be coming back here.

I feel like I've been waiting forever for this cafe to open! I finally had a chance to stop by and I absolutely loved the space. Beautiful indoor seating with close attention to every detail. I also love they offer a variety of sweets, quick bites, tea, and coffee. It is on the more expensive side but this is a brand new establishment you are kind of paying for the experience and quality. The biscoff later was 100% worth it. Everyone was inviting and friendly I would come back!

The pistachio latte here was amazing!! They were able to make adjustments to the drink as well and I really appreciate that. The staff here were super friendly, bathrooms were clean, and the ambiance was fantastic. Would definitely come here again to try their food too!

When you walk in the vibe is amazing you get comfortable cafe feeling. With an open space and bright lighting! You can go here to study (WiFi available) work spaces, seating for large to small groups. Customer service was amazing (shout out to Naz or Nas) Biscoff latte was 10/10 White chocolate mocha latte 10/10 (if you like sweeter coffee this is for you) We'll be coming here again especially since they have late hours and variety of specialty drinks + food!

I love this location, it's conveniently on my way home so no having to detour and go all the way to Oakland when I want to indulge in a sweet craving. Sana'a's is definitely my guilty pleasure. The ambience is so nice, space is open and cozy, yet roomy. It looks absolutely luxurious inside and out! Service was the best. They were pretty prompt for how busy it was last Friday night at 8:30pm when I decided to stop by. So glad I did! I got the Pistachio Cheesecake my favorite 10/10 Beef Fatayer 10/10 Iced Biscoff Latte 10/10 From service to food to drinks, it was all amazing. I definitely recommend if you're in the area.

I think it's tough to get good tasting decaf coffee. Granted, it was a mocha, less sweet, but still had rich coffee flavors. Recommended.

First timer and I'm hooked! Parking lot is a bit small but there is also street parking. The place is spacious and has plenty of seats and outlets for working. The staff was nice and helpful. I ended up ordering the iced pistachio latte less sweet and it was perfect. It was soooo good. I defined want to come back and try some of the pastries and other drinks.

I used to work in Oakland and would always stop by their location there. Now that I work in Hayward and they opened a location here, I will be here every day! My favorite coffee. The inside is gorgeous. A lot of design. They have a moderate sized parking lot. Tons of delicious food options! Desserts are also so good. This might be my hands down favorite coffee shop I've ever been to. The staff is always friendly. The managers also roam the floor checking in on you and are nice to talk to! This place is unbeatable. 10/10 Everytime I come!!! Must try.

My coworker had been talking about coming here since before they opened so we decided to just stop by and get some drinks for lunch. Interior is sooo beautiful and perfectly decorated. It is incredibly clean with plenty of really nice seating. Employees are really nice and the owner (i think?) talked to us for a bit and gave me a free cheesecake. They were so nice and service was fast!! I ordered a matcha latte with oat milk. It was ok! I think i should have gotten it with regular milk and i do like my matcha on the stronger side. Next time i'd like to try the biscoff latte or one of the Yemeni specialty drinks!! I also ordered some baklava (easily one of my top 5 desserts ever) and they were rlly good. My fave was the cheesecake the owner gave me!! Soft, fluffy cheesecake. Not too dense like a NY cheesecake. Graham cracker crust was amazinggggg and it had pistachio cream drizzle (i think) that paired sooo well. So delish, drooling thinking ab it rn lol. Can't wait to go here again!!

The latest Yemeni coffee and pastry chain offering a variety of espresso drinks, Specialty Yemeni iced and hot drinks, refreshers, smoothies, teas and traditional sweet and savory items. I've been to their other locations in Downtown Oakland and in Mountain View and really enjoy: :: Adeni chai - black tea, cardamom and cream - strong milk tea with evaporated milk :: Yemeni Mofawar - medium roast coffee with cream and cardamom Sana'a Cafe drinks are bold with strong cardamon and other spices. Pastries are decent and worth a try. If you like cheesecake, Sana'a Cafe's version has Middle Eastern flavors (rose, pistachio) lighter texture, less sweet and not as dense/creamy as American styles. Texture more of an unbaked cheesecake and not a fan...just a preference. Baklavas are flaky and not overly sweet. I prefer the savory items like the chicken muskhan (rolled flatbread with shredded chicken, caramelized onions, sumac, cinnamon) and fatayers (dough with ground meat, spices, onions and folded into a triangle) chicken and beef. Both delicious but wish they had offered some yogurt-tahini sauce to accompany. Service ok. Interior beautiful and spacious with plenty of patio seating. Private parking lot behind with limited street parking on busy Mission Blvd.

Eats, pastries. Cake slices in food case.

Sana'a Cafe opened recently where Entreprise Rent-A-Car once was. Interior upgraded to Sana'a's signature ambience. Seating inside and out. Soft music in background. Small parking lot. Some street parking available. Orders by apps are 20% off. Ordered at counter. Got drink in 10 minutes. Named called out. Referigerated cases next to order counter holds eats, pastries, Cake slices Offerings (Yemeni inspired): refreshers, pastries. Cake slices, empanadas, cold & hot drinks, teas, smoothies...merch Sips: Qisher (hot) 16 oz. (5.99) No sugar -made from dried coffee bean husks. Flavored with cinnamon & ginger. Tasted smooth, not bold. Subtly flavorful. -menu lists price as 5.49, didn't bother to complain. 4.5 stars Semi-Worthy:YMMV. Service:ok. Quantiy: reasonable. Need to adjust price on menu. Good deal ordering by app. *building labled as Sana'a HQ.

Making it a bit cramp when you're trying to stand in line, look at what's available, and order at the same time. Parking here is hard to get to as well, the lot is super small and fits only one car at a time. If you happen to land a spot here your best bet is to reverse all the way out because a three point turn will turn into a multipoint turn quickly. My suggestion is to park in the lot in the plaza next door and walk over. As for the baked goods the Spicy Lemongrass Chicken Croissant is phenomenal and the Strawberry Moon is a classic. The flavor profiles here lean Asian with many call backs to flavors such as ube and passionfruit. They also seem to change their menu often too so keep an eye out on the newer items as you visit. In terms of aesthetics of the pastries you can see the love in the folds of each one. The strawberry moon croissant is a good example of this because the amount of ridges in the croissant shows how many times it was folded while making it. That alone is back breaking work and truly a labor of love for something that gets consumed in minutes. Last but not least the staff, we love a good mom and pop shop. The entire family is in on this, from the cashier, baristas, and pastry chef. If you're looking for a AAPI business to support, this is the one to go to. They're kind, diligent, and when a pastry sells out you can always count on them to make more. Disappointment does not run in this family! Overall looking forward to continue coming back and frequently be a patron here.

Just an excellent place to be!…read more A friend had heard rave reviews about their authentic Argentinian empanadas and we were so happy to come and try it out on a Saturday afternoon. Parking was busy (the lot is shared with Trader Joe's) but we managed to find a spot and head into the busy but not packed cafe. There is a large assortment of empanadas, from meat options like chorizo and chicken, to vegetarian like corn and onion, to sweet options too like apples. The menu also boasts lots of great drinks including mate tea! Lucky us, the empanadas we ordered weren't in stock so we had to wait ~10 for freshly baked ones. They came out buttery and piping hot, even with little hand-stamped letters on them so you know what you're eating, and it was so delicious. Most are about $5.50 each. Add oregano chimichurri for a bit extra if you want or pair with a tea, but these empanadas really hit the snacky spot. Lots of wooden tables with fresh flowers make Pampas a great space to chat with friends or to sit and do some work. The most standout feature was the friendly and efficient staff who seem to build connections with everybody who walks in the door. Worth a drive to Castro Valley! Especially if you bring cash for a 10% discount off a dozen :)
