I know you guys have read my previous reviews of this place and decided to come here and see for yourselves that what I was saying is true. I can tell. I'd like to believe it was me that made this place so crowded and not the Final Four game, so let me live, okay. Anyway, things have seriously gone well as far as the customer service here. The bartenders make contact with and will tell you that they will be with you in a second rather than just ignore you. The difference from a few months ago is considerably noticeable. If anyone from Baja Sharkeez ever decides to read this review, THANK YOU for stepping it up and being the fun, cool place you have the potential be. Keep getting better and I will continue to be a loyal customer (with many friends and family). Today was great. One piece of advice. Put a sign up to let people know they have to place their orders at the bar. People were sitting around waiting for a server to come by for a long time.

Modern and clean inside, shiny concrete counter tops surround the large bar area and there's a good sized patio out front if you want to enjoy the breeze. There were so many beers that looked delicious that we opted for a flight so we could try as many as possible. They let us build our own flight and our favorite turned out to be a Thai chili infused brew but their IPA selection was really good too. They've got good happy hour deals and pretty cute merch. We opted just for drinks but their pizza looked pretty good on our neighbor's tables. This is a must visit for brew lovers when in downtown Santa Barbara.

Our party went here on St. Patty's day to have a good time. The place was packed due to the holiday, obviously. Good crowd, mostly college kids. Most people behaved pretty well. The place is a typical older dive bar, dark, long bar with a couple bartenders down stairs. It seems that the only thing that makes this an Irish Pub was the shamrock over the front door. There was no Irish theme inside or Irish fare. For the special evening, they were making sandwiches out back that my husband tried against my objections since the meat they were putting in them was sitting in stale water, exposed to the flies and public. Needless to say, he was sick in the bathroom for hours the following day. First thing we noticed was it was pretty dirty. Floors and tables were sticky and dingy. Restrooms were unkempt with no locks on the doors so guys were walking in on girls using the men's room and vice versa. We stayed downstairs most of the evening and the bartenders were pretty cool. Dewayne, the bartender downstairs, was awesome! Friendly and speedy service! If you must go here and he's working, order from him, for sure. They have another bar and dance floor upstairs as well, pretty much the same as above. Aside from DeWayne, the rest of the experience was pretty much like any other crappy older dive bar. Dirty, dingy and overpriced drinks. No "Irish Theme" at all aside from the name. We won't go back. read more

Indeed, there is a nice bartender named Dante and the music is good, but there is a bouncer at the door, probably the same white male noted in prior poor reviews, who is clearly a misogynist and who hates his life so much that he is intolerant to mirth and joy. I briefly hesitated to produce my ID laughing at myself because I had placed it elsewhere, and instantly he decided we were too drunk to get in - because we were laughing. We had had ONE drink. It was early and there wasn't even a line. His self-hatred is palpable, his insecurity is visible in his eyes, and it is really pitiful. Apparently he refuses to believe my friend is indeed who she claims to be according to her state issued driver's license, despite the fact it is clearly her. He made her show her social media account and credit cards so she could get in. My other friend needs to remove her glasses for him to decide she is the person in her ID. It's ridiculous. We weren't drunk undergrads. We ranged late 20's to mid 30s, and he made us feel like teenagers with fake IDs. I don't know how he still has his job. Absolutely horrid staff. They ignored my entire group when the bar only had 3 other patrons. When we ordered pitchers ALL the bartenders made a huge scene about moving the kegs around and when the males in my group (I was the only female) offered to help, they just ignored them and started making rude comments about how heavy the kegs were. When I went to ask for a glass of water, one bartender said she 'would help me this time but I should use the self-service water station at the end of the bar when she ignores me next time'. I wasn't even aware there was a self-serve water. I honestly don't know how this place is open. Must be from unsuspecting out-of-towners like myself. read more

I will never be back after the experience I had. There was a security guard working who tried to start a fight with my friend, simply because my friend was standing the hallway waiting for me to use the restroom. The security guard was irrationally angry and was becoming more and more agitated and aggressive. It is hands down the most unsafe and threatened I've ever felt. As my friend and I were leaving, voluntarily to escape this guy, another security guard physically had to restrain the other from following us/shouting/trying to fight. read more

This is probably the most racist bar in downtown Santa Barbara. On the night of 04/26 I was denied entry because of my skin tone. I provided proper identification and a debit card that matched my name. Even so, I was denied entry, I was told it did not look like me. I have never felt so humiliated in my life. These bouncers need RACIAL BIASED EDUCATION OR THEY NEED TO GET FIRED. If you are a person of color please boycott this bar, we cannot stand to be humiliated like this anymore. read more

There's a solid spread of spirits across the board, which makes the place feel more welcoming to a broader nightlife crowd instead of strictly rum disciples clutching vintage Trader Vic's mugs. The Oaxacan Dead was the standout for me. Smoky, balanced, endlessly sippable. One of those drinks where every sip quietly talks you into ordering another without turning into a sugar avalanche. The Jungle Bird was also great, though presented more in the direction of a Negroni than the punchier tropical versions you usually see. Bitter, restrained, and easy to settle into. Crowd-wise, things tilted a little frat-floaty as the night rolled on, but the staff handled everything smoothly and kept the vibe from turning into full pirate mutiny. Service stayed friendly and composed even when the volume of the room started climbing like a malfunctioning theremin. Big bonus points for the location and outdoor seating. Being right in the middle of Lower State makes it an easy launch point or final stop depending on your evening trajectory. Grab a drink, people-watch, drift between breweries and wine spots, repeat as necessary.

After about 10 minutes, he never came around so I walked up to the bar but he decided to ignore me and take an order from a woman who walked up after me. We had a fun time at EOS while passing through Santa Barbara. Really glad we made time to check it…read moreout. The lounge has 3 areas - a EDM side, a hip hop side and an outdoor patio area. There are bathrooms at both dj areas. There are also 2 bar areas. It was nice to be able to switch to another dj if we were feeling the music where we were. Overall fun night, and best part was it was free admission!
