I am not going to lie, I did not have high expectations for this restaurant but I was blown out of my socks. Service is excellent everyone tends to you the prices are very very reasonable and the food explodes with flavor. The handmade flower and corn tortillas take me back to when I was a child. They're thick fluffy soft and have excellent flavor. I ordered a few extras and now I don't want to leave for more that I can't. For breakfast was so excellent. They are a little hidden in the shopping strip across from U-Haul but keep your eyes peeled you will not regulate it. Sitting here doing the review I've had three people ask me if I'm doing good if I need anything else if there's anything else they can do. I've driven by Elizabeth's for years but never stopped in until today and I'm glad I did. For a Monday, the lunch crowd was pretty heavy, so we had a short wait before we were seated and had the opportunity to look over the menu. After a few minutes I decided to try the Monday lunch special, chicken mole. It's not something I order often but good for a change of pace. Once seated, our server took our order and brought out some chips and salsa. The chips were nice and crunchy while the salsa was fresh and had a little bit of a kick to it but not too spicy. When my order came out it smelled great and after my first bite it had a taste to match. The mole sauce is the real star and was really smooth with a nice blend of spices, chocolate, and peanuts. The chicken itself was juicy and tender and just soaked in the mole sauce. The rice was nice and fluffy, and the refried beans were seasoned well. The flour tortillas were made in house and were also quite good. Overall, everything was really good, and my only suggestion would be to pour the mole sauce over the chicken only and not all over the plate so to not overpower the taste of the rice and beans. I like forward to coming back and trying more of the menu and lunch specials. read more

Today was cheat day so we decided on this restaurant for brunch! We walked checked in put our names on the list and sat on the Cowboy's bench wearing our Cowboy's shirt and jersey lol wait wasn't too long we were sat within 15 minutes, right away. We sat at the table had a nice and friendly waitress. She took our order. Our food came within 15ish minutes. We ordered a Bean & cheese, potato & egg, Barbacoa with cilantro, bacon and egg with cheese and a chorizo and egg. The chorizo and egg was soooooo good we wanted to order another one but the waitress never came back unfortunately. That's why I gave 4 stars not 5. We also needed more tea but decided it was just time to go. The tacos were so good we still really enjoyed the experience. The ambience is nice for the restaurant, with all orange walls. Very nice. The owner came up to threaten and denied service because my 4-year old had a small box (1.3 oz) of cheerios even though we clearly explained that my son has severe food allergies and we were all paying customers. The entire party 4 people were ordering breakfast plates. The owner was rude, threatening and discriminated against a 4-year old. Under federal law people with allergies are protected. Elizabeth's does not look like a big restaurant from the outside but the inside is quite large. I drive past it very often and was intrigued because there would be cars outside even at 6 in the morning! I brought my husband here for brunch because he likes lunch and I love breakfast food, it works out perfectly! Chips and salsa are possibly my favorite thing to try at a new Mexican restaurant, there are just so many different styles and it's exciting to try a new take/recipe. Let me tell you that Elizabeth's salsa is something else! It is addictively SPICY and refreshing at the same time. I suspect some of the peppers are fresh (not cooked or roasted) and their seeds are included in the blend, because it sure packs a lot of heat. At one point we ran out of ice water and both had to take a pause because it was so spicy (in a good burn kind of way). My husband got chicken enchiladas verde, the salsa verde is very tangy compared to most other versions we have tried in the past. The flour tortillas are THE BOMB. I'm confident they are house made, so fluffy and yummy and the perfect vehicle to deliver a bite of whatever you want to put on it. I got their chilaquiles and it was good, although not as impressively delicious as the house salsa and the enchiladas verde, but still very good. First off, I need to tell you about the wait. They have a very nice seating area in front that you will have to wait until there is a table available, I'm not used to this, so I was a little reluctant. But when we got to the table, the service was excellent, the food was delicious, the atmosphere was very nice and clean. I sat near the entrance, so I was able to hear the interactions of the host with all of the patrons that came in. I was very impressed that she along with the waitress knew a lot of people by their first name, which is impressive and gave it a at-home feel to it. They even called us by our names & we were new to the place. I like this extra special touch that they make sure to add to everyone that walks in. I am limiting my protein and carb intake, so I like that they allowed me to add a salad instead of beans and potatoes to my plate. Love Elizabeth's! Authentic Tex-Mex at a reasonable price. We came here for breakfast takeout after a hike at the Cathedral Rock trails, and were we hungry! I got the Migas plate, and my friends got the Spanish omelet and Huevos Rancheros. We also got coffee to go. The food was great, I poured the salsa on my food, and it was like liquid fire! Pretty excited about this place. It's really close to home and recently expanded. I finally decided to give it a try... but it is always crowded for lunch or late breakfast. We came in today early due to a project. Homey and clean atmosphere. It was self seating. Waitress was polite. The food was great... I love machacado and ordered the plate with corn tortillas. Those tortillas were made fresh on site! Which is kind of a big deal for corn. More restaurants are doing it and they did an awesome job with them. The salsa... ooo... the salsa is house made. It's fresh not roasted and you can tell that there were fresh peppers in it and a good hit of heat. It was really special. The machacado was delicious as well. Waitress received our drink order and then gave us a minute to look at the menu. She came back with delicious, devil's food, chips and salsa! They were so fresh and crispy yet a little airy! The salsa had a good amount of heat in it. We ordered the carne guisada plate, the pork chop plate, and 2 barbacoa tacos. With both flour and corn tortillas. Many of these reviews has to be forged cause many people were complaining and how disrespectful is it when we are given attitude by our server when we tell them the soup is cold and have to still be charged for it .
