Fresh iced tea with the small cubes, which I love
    Barb P.

This little, local restaurant is about 35 miles west of Savannah and not far from Pooler area. A person I'd met at a seafood market recommended it, as good food and pleasant employees. She was correct. My oyster stew was 'like Mom used to make and had a generous portion of oysters. The shrimp was perfectly prepared, for those preferring fried. It was in a very small 'mall' of just a couple businesses and was difficult to see. It is located near Parker's, which helped. I enjoyed the local ambiance with obviously frequent customers. There was no wait, since I prefer eating about 1-3, the food was fresh and hot, and the waitress was pleasant. I think the owner served my stew. ;) This is definitely a casual, no frills, local restaurant with good food. I wasnt disappointed.

Good 'old fashioned cooking. However, perhaps not the place for you if you have COVID mask concerns. We've had both vaccinations, so we felt fairly comfortable with the lack of masks.... Both the food & service are good! Sandra's is certainly not fancy, but the portions are huge & the food is tasty. The "small" grilled scallop dinner had 12 scallops that were nicely seasoned & came with two sides & delicious hush puppies. My husbands large fried flounder dinner was huge! A nice place for lunch or dinner while out antiquing in the area.

Ordered the light fried shrimp platter and it did not disappoint! Went with the potato salad and coleslaw for my sides since it came with 2 hush puppies already. The coleslaw was heavy on the Mayo, but still really good and the potato salad was tasty. The tarter sauce was delish! The patrons were locals and all knew each other, which was awesome. Everyone was friendly.

"Large" fried oyster and grilled scallop combo with green beans, baked potato, and hush puppies.

Went here for lunch today because it was right off the highway. The restaurant was very busy for the size of it, and there was only one waitress on duty. Our waitress was nice and she did everything she could to give us good service. For my meal I got the large combo of fried oysters and grilled scallops. For my sides I got hush puppies, green beans, and a baked potato. The oysters were delicious but the scallops were a bit chewy and dry. The hush puppies were moist and crispy, but the other sides were very average. My dad got deviled crab and shrimp, and he gave me some of each. The deviled crab was excellent, and I would definitely get it again. I enjoyed everything I ate but the portions were very small, especially to be called the large size. Overall, it was a good meal, but not exactly worth 49$ for two people.

Fried shrimp dinner is yummy. Baked potato isn't always cooked soft enough but the green beans and good. I will order again.

We had the salmon with mixed vegetables, and seasoned potatoes. The Salmon was a large piece seasoned and seared to perfection. The vegetables were grilled and delicious, the potatoes were perfect. As I glacéd around the restaurant it appeared EVERYONE was pleased with their dish (visible signs). We eventually talked with at least 3 separate couples who had fried shrimp, sea bass, crab clusters, and salmon. They ALL RAVED about their meal. The prices are also very reasonable! The atmosphere is nice and quiet. The restaurant is small, but looks they the can accommodate parties of 8 or less. The service was also GREAT! They have good selection of beer and wine. They do not have a dessert menu, but that was fine... because at the end of your meal they give you a freshly baked WARM chocolate chip cookie for FREE! Of course, we had to make it a priority during our trip. It was about an 18-minute drive, and when we arrived, there was a huge amount of parking available. The area is set up with about four different restaurants all next to each other, so you definitely have options if you want to grab drinks or even bar hop a little. Since everything is located right on the water, all of the restaurants have really nice views. Hudson's was located all the way to the left and had more of its own private parking area closer to the entrance. The atmosphere felt like a laid-back, rugged seafood bar with plenty of seating inside and outside on the deck. If you're lucky enough to grab a seat at the outdoor bar, I'd highly recommend it. Unfortunately, it was packed when we visited, so we ended up sitting at the inside bar instead. Even sitting inside, there was a lot of entertainment between the bartender and the guy cracking stone claws behind the bar. We ordered a bucket of local oysters, which turned into an experience all on its own. This was actually my first time shucking my own oysters at a restaurant, and since many of them were stuck together, it made the whole thing even more fun and interactive. We also shared a she-crab soup that was creamy, thick, and absolutely delicious--10 out of 10 recommend. They also offer frozen drinks if you're looking for something more refreshing than a typical beer, and we ended up trying a few local beers while we were there as well. The only confusing part of the visit was finding the women's restroom, which is oddly located right next to the hostess stand, while the men's restroom is all the way in the back. Overall, this was such a fun experience. Sitting around shucking oysters, drinking local beer, and enjoying the waterfront atmosphere all afternoon is definitely my kind of Saturday.

Do not get the coffee at Sea Wolf Tybee…read more In Sea Wolf's defense, our server told me as such. I ordered coffee, and he practically begged me not to. "Imagine Folgers... but worse," he said. I grew up on Eight O'Clock coffee--the only brand worse than Folgers-- so opted to brave the drip from Sea Wolf Tybee. How bad could it really be? Really bad. The Sea Wolf Tybee coffee was really, really, bad. The owners have made a deal with the barrier island devil where their successful establishment came at the expense of serving the worst coffee on earth. The coffee wasn't just bland, it was reeking with flavor, as if a tybee island horseshoe crab has been decaying in the coffee pot since the eatery was established in 2020. The server tried his hardest to prevent this 4-star review by warning me about the coffee, and in his defense the taste is not why I deducted Sea Wolf Tybee one star. I deducted one star because the vile 12oz cup of black drip coffee was $5 dollars. Like any diner at a lunch spot, I did not check the coffee's price before ordering it, assuming it'd be the standard $2-3 dollars. Even specialty coffee shops max their drip coffee prices at $4.50. Instead, Sea Wolf Tybee has opted to charge $5, rake-in a 95% profit margin, and exploit the trust of patrons who assume a cup of joe won't cost as much as Georgia's hourly minimum wage. I'm a former barista and coffee-lover, and $5 is the most expensive drip coffee I have ever encountered. Sea Wolf Tybee had outdone itself--the bill was more nauseating than the coffee.
