The Gemuse chicken doner was packed full of chicken. I took this one home to have the next day. It was perfect the next day. Both of these came with a garlic sauce and a hot sauce each. The garlic sauce is one of the best I've had. It wasn't overpowering and I found myself trying to get the last drips of it. The only gripe I have is that they give only one per order. The hot sauce was excellent too. It wasn't overly spicy (*cough* all other places should take note), and actually added flavor besides heat. To start this place is only open in the evenings, but it stays open late till at least 2am (later on weekends), which is great after a night out in Houston. It is located in the parking lot of a strip shopping center so I have yet to have an issue finding parking. The menu is pretty simple and clear and you can also order ahead by calling if you like. One thing I love is that the owner typically offers complimentary soup and sometimes even bottled water! He is always very welcoming and courteous to his customers. I've had both their beef tacos and quesadillas and have enjoyed them! I also have never had any "bathroom issues" afterwards too which is noteworthy especially when it comes to food trucks. The only drawback I've found with here is that it's cash only and I typically don't carry much cash with me. However because his prices are reasonable, I've always had just enough cash on me to order all I want. Nevertheless, I would just advise always making sure you have enough cash before coming here. While Ricky's in San Antonio still holds my number one overall taco food truck spot, this place is undoubtedly my number 2! I highly recommend for your late night food cravings!

Some of the best kebabs we've ever eaten in our lives. $8 for wonderful Iraqi kebab (similar to Kobedeh or Kofte) on Samoon (Iraqi bread) with spicy sauce. The chicken is amazing and marinaded in garlic, that kebab is also 8. And his burgers are magnificent too. Sadly, for the last 2 months or so we can't find this truck. It's not at the same location at the Westheimer Middle Eastern Food Truck Park just West of Hillcroft. We wish it would re-appear. One of the best meals we've ever had from a food truck anywhere, and one of Houston's very best things to eat.

There were only two families, hardly 6 people, and the person behind the counter said, of course, no greeting sheeting . She said (loudly) We have only chai and I said I hope so because we came for chai. Since we have never been there, we have no clue what else they serve there. Since we had dinner, we came for only chai or dessert. We ordered 3 chai (different kinds) and started reading their menu after paying them, of course. We liked the menu and told each other we should return for food next time. During that time, one family gets up and leaves without having anything. We said oh well, let's wait for the chai and told our friend, who is Canadian, how our culture is kind of based on hospitality chai. We ask guests if they don't want to eat still you must have chai. Chai is our connection and to learn about each other. Almost 15 or 20 minutes later, chai came, and I asked her if sugar was available. She pointed towards the entrance. "Sugar is over there." So I got up to pick up Cheeni Sheeni, and as soon I returned, the same person said it was 9 0 o'clock and we were closing. I asked, Are you serious? We just got our order. I looked around. One family was still eating food, but she said I have to close the door. It's 9 PM, and we don't get paid for extra time. Oh, she wants us to leave with our chai. I said may I use your sugar? She said yes. Honestly, I have never seen this kind of attitude, and I understand, that it's the owner's fault who doesn't appreciate their workers, and they don't care if a customer left happy or not. We picked up our chai Shai cups and went outside. We decided to drink in the car, but unfortunately, the chai was horrible. So, two of us throw our cups in the trash. It was hot water without flavor. Meanwhile, we apologized to our friend that that's not how our culture or hospitality is, just bad management. We are in the retail business, and once a customer walks in 30 minutes before, we don't ask them to leave the store. I was totally in a fun vacation mood.
