We went by sandwichitos on a bit of a whim during lunch today; I had remembered how busy the place was the last time we had walked by -- to the extent that they had a line out the door. The sandwich (jiu jitsu) was served piping hot, and really fresh. It was a bit past "prime" lunchtime, so the sandwich was served to us very quickly. The presentation was just as you see in the pictures - consistent with appearance. The taste was also great, with the chimichurri sauce really complementing the steak. Edges of the bread were crisp, and it was a perfectly balanced sandwich. Service was very attentive, with 2 different staff members asking how our experience was, and if everything was okay. (this may have been a function of things not being super busy, but either way, they didn't need to be this nice). We heard this local sandwich restaurant opened nearby so we decided to try it with our sons. We ordered tons of things to try and every sandwich was better than the one before. Everyone loved the Philly Special ordered with plantains substituted for bread, which came out incredibly tasty. We also tried the Jiu-Jitsu, Dirty South and French Cuban, all amazing, spiced perfectly and flavorful. We also ordered the Tres Leches, Banana Pudding and Chocolate Cup. I have to give credit when credit is due. The sandwiches are delicious and served up piping hot , and they're generous with the parts of the sandwich. Also, even with great food, I would easily give a 2 star if service wasn't good. THEYRE SERVICE IS AMAZING. it's really the little things like the way the cashier acknowledged on the walk in and greeted us in a friendly manner. Also the person in front of us on line was having a small issue with his card and she acknowledged us again and thanked us for waiting . She was very polite. I ordered the shredded beef sandwich. He tried to explain away the wait time because the meat is Braised it takes longer to put together. I'm a chef. You don't braise to order. That was a ridiculous excuse. When I received the sandwich it was a dripping mess, and the meat was so dry I couldnt finish it. My jaw started to hurt from chewing.
