Bob Evan's is hitting on all cylinders lately! Forget Cracker Barrel and all their logo drama. Bob Evan's has delicious food at an affordable price and the service here was terrific thanks to Jenna :). I enjoyed the deep dish chicken and noodles. It is comfort food at its finest. My only suggestion would be to cook the noodles a bit less so they have some heft in the thick sauce. Their biscuits are delicious especially with butter and honey. And Jenna was thoughtful in bringing them before our meal was ready. This location still has their covid shields between tables which is great. They could use a good cleaning though. I've never been to this Bob Evan's in Wooster but it's much smaller than the ones in Columbus Ohio and Florence Kentucky. But very decorative with a friendly staff. We were seated right away with a choice of a table or booth. We noticed they now serve appetizers. For lunch I picked the hand breaded chicken tenders. I selected the maple honey sauce to go with it. It came with coleslaw and banana bread. Which turns out to be my favorite. Shhh...I think she gave me two slices. Sooo good!! But it's a very clean restaurant and nicely decorated. They are attentive and make sure you have what you need. I'm very glad we decided to stop here. I would recommend checking out this Bob Evan's restaurant. Me and my family came in on Saturday the 10th, our server was Sandy and she was amazing! She took our order quickly and our food came out very fresh, plus she was absolutely hilarious. She had quite the time joking around with my grandpa, and gave us a great start to our day. read more

Food was ok as far as flavor but Luke warm mashed potatoes was not great country fried steak was good. Manager took care of my meal for cold mashed as she went and felt the mashed potato bin and it was not hot at all she said and apologized. These days employee turn over is so high and people are not trained long enough before they actually do the cooking We had a server who was helping our server Kala she went and got wife's coffee and it was cold and returned with another cold coffee and when kala came back to our table to take over she actually got wife a hot coffee. Kala did a great job as a sever was attentive once she got caught up and made sure we were taken care of. Manager was very nice as well she knows how to manage a restraunt. Atmosphere was decent the place was clean from what I seen so overall it wasn't a bad visit just a little on the cold side but food was good. read more

Went there for breakfast..took about 15 mins to get seated, i got my food and the hash browns were very burnt. My sister ordered scrambled eggs and they gave her over easy. There was a plastic like gooey film over the syrup would not recommend this place. I will keep searching trying to find the best breakfast place in Ashland! read more

No stars for me! But when you mess up a simply drink order and then mess up the food. I understand sometimes you mess up but twice in the same order I see issues. We had 3 different servers. Waited over 30 mins for just our food 15 for a drink refill. Definitely wont be coming back! The food was dreadful! When you pay a decent price for a meal you have a certain image on your head. If any of the management or staff read this, I want you to know I think of you often and will never forget what a fantastic job you did in caring for my dad, Clarence Shoudt. It has been a little over a year since my dad's death. Bob Evans of Ashland will always hold a special place in my heart. Everyone which includes management to servers to the hostesses treated my dad like he was part of their family. One of the employees even stopped at dad's house to see how he was doing. It was not uncommon for him to eat there twice a day because of the excellent service and food. Many times I ate with my dad, and the service and food was always excellent. I am living in Columbus and wish I could visit more often. read more

We really enjoyed our meal at Bob Evans in Ashland today. Amanda was our server and she was excellent considering we had a party of 7. We could tell she had a lot of experience and definitely deserves a managerial position. The quality of our food was good. We can't complain. I had vegetable soup and it was cooked very well. When I eat at the restaurant in Heath OH, on occasion, the soup is always raw and the service is very slow but that's for another review later. Thank you read more

I've been to this Bob Evans location over a dozen times since I was a kid, it being one of the very few places still standing in Ashland. All these visits and I havent had one bad experience. That's extremely rare in my opinion. The only bad thing that happened here was we used our debit card to pay, and the machine said it was declined, so we swiped it again and it did the same thing, but after checking our bank account it had charged us twice, so the machine was messed up. Instead of offering us a refund they told us to wait until it was cleared with corporate and that the money would show back up in the account within a few hours but 16 hours later it had not, so we had to call back and complain unfortunately and they made us come in and get a cash refund instead. BUT this is not anyone's fault except their systems and it doesnt take away from the amazing food. Service has always been beyond great. The food is incredible no matter what you're ordering. It's always quick, always quality. Recommend this place to anyone eating or bringing family for dinner. read more

The service was good and that was about it. Maryn did a great job !!! The bad was the food. I felt like I was eating at Denny's. This place is suppose to be way better than that place. I ordered an omelet and what I got was a folded egg with a ice cream scoop of ground meat on top. It was cold the meat to boot. I thought the idea of an omelet the stuff was to be inside it. The pan cakes that I ordered on the side were anything but big and fluffy. They were thin and small. Like I said nothing against my server, I think this place needs new cooks. I will not be back. Ordered Easter dinner a couple days in advance to be delivered through DoorDash at 1pm. At 2:39pm I received a message through a text that my ordered had been cancelled. We had been waiting for over an hour and a half before receiving this message. So for Easter dinner we had cheddar brats sweet potatoes that I had already made for the dinner that was supposed to come, baked beans, hotdogs, fries and chips... Basically whatever we could scrounge in the fridge. Did I mention we had a guest visiting us? I understand that they were very busy but I placed my order days ago. They charged my card at 1pm, leasing me to believe it was on the way. Got a message at 1:30p from the DoorDasher that he was still waiting for the food and would text me when he was leaving. Poor guy just waited there, probably another hour. Then I got the text from Bob Evans. Grrrrrr. Since they charged my card already, we didn't even have any money to go to get something else, hence the scrounging. Not happy. This place wasn't too busy, however we walked in to find no hostess, cashier or staff. The line to be seated and to cash out were backed up with the wait staff just staring at all of us. After being shown our table that had not been cleaned and the booth being covered in milk, we walked out laughing at how dysfunctional this place is. Back in February we visited this Bob Evan's location and were not impressed to say the least. I ordered the - and I quote, according to the menu - "World Famous Chicken and Noodles", uh yeh, world famous alright. My wife thought it sounded gross, but I thought it sounded pretty good - mashed potatoes over a biscuit, with the chicken and noodles over the potatoes. The combination was not the issue. If this plate would have been made with high-quality ingredients, it would have been very tasty. What I received was possibly the worst meal I have had in the last decade. The chicken and noodles were radioactive yellow (if there is such a thing). The noodles and sauce were sort of glowing... they were a weird very unnatural color that perplexed us very much. Upon gathering up the courage to taste this mess I discovered that they were room temperature - not even a little hot. The chicken consisted of square blocks of dry chicken, that once again was not barely warm. I really believe that these noodles were sitting in the bottom of a pan somewhere and the cook just slung them on my plate. I ate a few bites, against my better judgment, and as a result did not feel so good for the next few hours. Upon leaving we noticed that even though there was no one in the restaurant, at least five tables were full of dishes, and a table of employees had been sitting across from us the entire time socializing. I had a really good meal about one year ago at the Bob Evan's in Bowling Green and continue to give other Bob Evan's a try based on that one good experience. Unfortunately, I'm certain that this experience at the Ashland location is the final nail in the coffin for my visits to this chain. Never again. read more
