We made an appointment for 2pm that day to meet with Eddie to look at it. When we arrived at 2pm we went in to meet Eddie and he had the car and keys ready to go. He immediately handed over the keys for a test drive. He also offered, while we did the test drive, to check out our current vehicle for Trade In pricing. We were prepared to provide a decent cash amount down, but decided to see what they would offer, not expecting much as is usually the case with dealers. When we returned from the test drive we sat down with Eddie to review numbers and were happily surprised with the number they can back with on the Trade In as well as the incentives that were available to us and they overall price for the new vehicle. As such we decided to proceed with the purchase and Trade In. It took just a few minutes to complete the initial credit check and during that time Mr. Sager came out to thank us, offer us water and gave my husband a hat. We then went in to meet with Imm to complete the finance paperwork and appreciated his thoroughness and no pressure approach. The entire process took just over 2 hours - by far the least amount of time it has ever taken for us to buy a new vehicle. Eddie, Imm and Mr. Sager thanked us multiple times and let us know to reach out if we had any questions or concerns. We are pleased with our new car, and more importantly, we are happy with the experience we had at Sager Ford. We are local Napa residents and will recommend Sager Ford to all of our friends. He is detail-oriented and is unwavering from being client-centered. Bob initially called me back and told me that what I was looking for (and at the time) would be very difficult to find. I was looking for a specific pick up truck in a pre-determined configuration. After three weeks of looking, he was able to locate one that was at an out of town dealership that I could easily get to. We made arrangements to see the truck and based on site and lack of other options, I bought the truck assured that it was the last truck in California with my specs. According to the dealer it had just arrived after being delayed in shipment and that future shipments were cancelled due to the world-wide microprocessor shortage. I had Bob review the specs. Bob already had me talk to my Credit Union for a pre-approved loan. The Dealership even talked to my credit union and brought down the APR from 3.02 to 2.9. I did end up paying for nitrogen in the tires and for the "installation" of the floor mats but marginal considering my diminished options. Anyway, Bob seemed to always be on the hunt for me and was very up to date about the goings on with the shipping and other details. He was easy to talk to and precise in what he had to say. I appreciated this bc at the time I was contending that the oil hadn't been changed, I felt like the "bad guy" when his mechanic was telling us that he had changed it. So I appreciated the call. In any case, this could have been a real problem for me had I not done my own checking and changed the oil myself, and no doubt I would have just been out-of-luck with no recourse. So even if not attributable to malice in this case, stuff can fall through the cracks and I recommend that you do your own thorough due diligence and not necessarily just take everything that is said at face value. ORIGINAL: Be careful and you should buy here only if you know cars or if you have a good mechanic. I came here only because they happened to have a rare model that I was looking for. The owner represented that they had changed the oil after I expressly asked. I honestly didn't care if they did or not, I just wanted to know so I would know to do it. After a cursory check after some driving, it was obvious from the dipstick that the "mechanic" had not. I went back to the dealership to get them to do it. When I returned, the owner swore up and down that his "mechanic" changed the oil, and that he didn't want to ask him to change it again bc then he'd be "calling his mechanic a liar." I said I couldn't speak to whether the "mechanic" was a liar or not, but see can see from the photo what eventually came out when I changed it. So yea, man, your "mechanic" is indeed, a liar. The owner then offered to reimburse me if I went to go change it at Midas nearby. Not trusting a "quickie oil change" place either I asked instead if the owner would just pay me the cost of the oil and filter and I'd do it myself. So buyer beware. They have a decent selection of interesting cars, but you should assume, regardless of what they tell you, that they did not do any maintenance to the car. Unless you are physically watching them as they do it, and even then I'm not sure I would trust them. You will either have to check everything yourself, or take it to your trusted mechanic. The one thing that is good, is that the salespeople seemed like decent enough people, but definitely are not thorough or take proper care in what they are doing. For 90% of buyers who don't know anything about cars they can probably get away with their behavior. But I'd recommend that you only buy here if if you really know your cars and know exactly what to check.
