Dad needed a car to haul me and some dumb poodle around and asked me what I liked. I said "a black Equinox EV of course!" It has a nice, quiet and supple ride over bumps so I can get important naps in when traveling. It holds plenty of 35 lb bags of kibble from Petco (lamb, please), and is super affordable. Speaking of which, Alexis Gallagher and her owner Scott Silveira went out of their way to get dad the deal he needed. They even paused the deal for a couple of days so he would have time to cancel his GM card and apply for a new one in order to qualify for the $500 rebate incentive. As a salesman in my past, I can always tell when I'm being lied to. I didn't get that with Cole. Another bait and switch, not just the salesperson Alexis Gallagher, but from the owner Scott SILVERIA as well. i called, they had the same car I was looking at from another dealer that also pulled a bait and switch the day before after running credit, SILVERIA said they would match. sound good, but then I realized their inventory car wasn't AWD which I failed to catch initially, I'll take credit for that, so then I asked if they can do a dealer trade for the one at the other dealer, SILVERIA says they're willing to, just need to get the other dealer to agree, (this would've been the opportunity to say no, but instead decided to proceed, but also before they take on the other dealer's car want to verify all my paperwork was in order. ok sounds good no problem. well after me having to check in and asking if everything they needed they had in order to proceed, including an approved credit application ($0 down and 0%) the owner calls me back and says the good news is he has everything they need, the bad news is he's been thinking about it some more and now not willing to do the deal on a dealer inventory trade, but I can do it on any of the cars on his lot. BECAUSE HE WAS THINKING ABOUT IT MORE! If this isn't a bait and switch I don't know what is. No other reason to change last minute other than they simply changed their mind. Wait until after they run the credit (sure it's just a hard inquiry to a customer's credit report, no big deal right) wait until after I submit all the paperwork for all the available GM rebates, after several phones calls and text messages, after a phone call directly with Scott SILVERIA indicating no he wants to confirm all paperwork before committing to a inventory trade with another dealer, and only after he received everything he needed from my end, wants to switch the car. I was told it would be an hour. When I arrived at the appointment time David who helped me was as nasty as they come. Started off with his asking " what do you want." He asked my phone number and name (did they not have a record of this?) He then told me it would be 3 hours. When I told him I was told to bring it in at 10 and it would be an hour he told me they had other cars to service. My husband bought a truck from them and told me this is typical. Not happy my farther in law who in 89 bought a truck that sat on the lot for a year ,during the sale he ask the sale person Alexis should they change the def she said its find don't worried ,3000 miles later the def light came on and he got worried and took it to a dealer in Folsom , He was stuck due to that system shut down and will on go 35 mph to protect the system ,So the dealer inspected the system and said the def tank needs to be replaced ,So being a new truck he said its cover under warranty so go ahead, dealer in Folsom pull the tank after removal they found the def to be contaminated said it was not covered under warranty ,truck has 3000mile on it ,So being between a rock and a hard spot he paid the 1600 dollars and figure the dealer SILVERIA who sold it to him would make it right ,well they did not ! well dealing with them has not been fun ,they don't want to make it right and my farther in law who is 89 feel cheated .bought a new truck out 1600 dollars feels unsafe due to the def systems and they wont help him def has a shelf life of a year a per gm .very unhappy read more

We recently had ANOTHER mouse attack in our engine and vehicle electrical system, causing a Christmas tree amount of warning lights to come on on our dashboard. This is a reoccurring problem, with at least 6 occurrences over the last 5 years. In the past these have generally affected the non electrical area such as the air filter area and AC and all the areas where air is pumped around for heating and cooling, and they have made nests in there filled with feces and gross crap. When those happened we went to a body shop for repairs, and to mouse proof our engine and inside the car as much as possible, obviously ultimately unsuccessfully, to the absolute horror and frustration of my wife and I. This time when all the dash lights came on, we suspected what the problem was. Since it was an electrical issue, we decided to go where we thought the work would be the best quality, although probably pricier. That's when we were fortunate enough to meet LISA! She helped us out throughout this entire process, which took several weeks. At first they couldn't tell if it was mice related, and just tightened some wires which seemed loose, but after leaving the shop, the next day all the lights came back on. My insurance at AAA would only cover the damage if it was in fact, caused by mice damage, so when they explained that it would cost $500 just to open up the engine and find out if it was mice related, so we held our breath and they opened it up to find, MICE NESTS INSIDE THE ENGINE! God only knows how mice actually wormed their way inside the engine, but Lisa took it from there and took care of it! She kept us updated every step of the way, and she even had what NO rental company had then when we needed it, a rental large enough to hold all 3 car seats we need, all covered by our insurance. So we ended up getting all $2600 worth of work done, and a brand new fancy rental traverse with all the bells and whistles, for a TOTAL of our $50 deductible. Lisa did an excellent job dealing with my insurance adjuster for us, and made sure to get WB wetting covered. Thank you Lisa! You helped make our terrible situation less stressful. read more

In advance of the trip I called the dealership to... #1 Make sure they were open... #2 to see if I needed an appointment... What I failed to ask is a not so obvious question - #3 - is the car listed for sale on your website available to view and does it run? Once at the dealership, I found out the answer to question #3 was "No"... they are waiting on a part. It's unreasonable to me to list a $45,000+ vehicle for sale to attract business when in fact, it is obviously not for sale because it doesn't even run. I waisted my time driving to Sonoma, never even got to see the car. This type of poor business practice is discouraging... I will not be back. read more

I was able to make a same day appointment to have a receiver hitch installed on my Bolt EV Upon arrival I was a bit confused about where to go. I asked someone, MJ, where to go, and I was on my way. I turned my car in, and waited in the lobby. They building is older and a bit cold but it was super, super clean. Everyone I encountered was so nice! I requested a quote through their website and promptly received an email from Alberto with a very direct price quote that made me happy. I called him, and within the day he confirmed he could make said price happen for the Camaro. He was always very courteous over the phone! I secured financing through their website, and he got me in with golden 1 credit union like I hoped. My girlfriend and I arrived a few days later to seal the deal. The dealership is very small but well kept and neat. I test drove the Camaro, and we went straight to signing paperwork shortly after. They quoted me over $3,000 to fix my AC on a car that was worth maybe $5,000. I went to Gabes Auto, he fixed it for $245. These guys price gouge ALOT. Also, we went to change our tires on our 2019 Kia, Patrick said they would also do an alignment, (we assumed free of charge with the way he said it and didn't ask if we really wanted it, and didn't disclose it would cost us $150 more) we said okay thanks. We got there to pick the car up and our bill was almost $500 when our quote was $325. He still made us pay half the alignment cost, so we haven't gone back. read more

If i could give 0 stars i would. We purchased a white buick regal GS back in November. About 2 weeks after purchasing we started smelling burning oil. We opened up the hood and you can see there was a major oil leak. The dealership made sure to clean under the hood, but they sure didnt clean under the plastic cover over the motor. The sales agent kept pushing for the extended warranty for $4k and now we know why. We never once got a copy of their safety inspection, the oil on the car was black so they for sure did not change the oil. The air filter looked like is hasnt been changed since the car was bought. BEWARE of buying a car from here. Especially a used one... they really aren't honest. They really DONT do safety checks before selling. After going in and out of the shop and after almost 3 1/2 month of dealing with the oil leak i think i've finally got it fixed. read more

Piracy is not found only on the high seas, it can be found in this dealership. I called their parts department to price a fan clutch for my Duramax diesel engine and was quoted $500 for the part. I stated that I had seen the same OEM part at auto parts stores for $195 and he said our cost is $300. If in fact he was telling the truth adding a $200 markup sounds excessive. So, I purchase the same part for $196 and did the installation myself. They lost a sale and I was going to let them do the repair, but I could see a bill of $1500 with their inflated labor and parts costs. Don't have your repairs done by a dealer. read more

Had a fantastic recent experience purchasing a truck here this past weekend. We did a lot of research on what we wanted and searched inventory for the specifics we were looking for. Silveira had what we wanted and a fantastic price as well. We first worked with them via email and they were extremely nice and helpful. Very prompted with responses as well. We asked about putting a hold on the truck we wanted and offered a deposit since we couldn't make it out for almost a week (we live about an hour away). They had no problem with that and we showed up. The salesperson we worked with over email unfortunately had to leave early that day, but Greg and the other staff were more than accommodating. The truck was detailed and ready for us to check out. He filled it with a full tank and let us take a test drive as a family. The paperwork that comes with buying a car always takes a fair amount of time, but this wasn't too bad. We had our two kids with us and everyone was great chatting with them as well to keep them from getting to bored. There are snacks, drinks, and water as well if you need. What a joy it was to have found out about Sonoma Chevrolet's Service Department, and in particular Patrick Mulligan. My wife & I purchased a lightly used 2014 Chevrolet Silverado High Country from the Absolute WORST Dealership I've ever encountered in my 50+ years, Victory Chevrolet in Petaluma. To make a long story short, my wife & I were lied to by our salesman (Matt Morrison), then their Sales Manager (Mark Ianniccheri), and finally their Service Advisor (Dennis Pawlowski). I am a 76 year old grandma. Our Mazda CX 5 Turbo was serviced in Burlingame on May 5. On Thurs I drove up to Sonoma to visit my elderly mother. My husband called to tell me to check the Mazda b/c he found oil had dripped from the car. When I moved the Mazda out of the garage, I found that it was still leaking. He told me to find a service station with a mechanic who could check to see what was going on. I tried 3 stations no mechanics on the premises. Finally I was directed to Silveira Chevrolet where I finally get a sympathetic ear of the service manager who had one of the mechanics look underneath and he found that the oil plug was only loosely screwed in oil was splattered underneath the vehicle etc. The mechanic corrected all that and got me on my way.
