They had another favorite of mine - the white chocolate apricot bread. Ask them to put it through their slicing machine. My first job in high school was working in a bakery. A midwestern mom and pop bakery where EVERYTHING looks delicious and tastes as good as it smells. The kind that when you walk in you take a deep breath and try and bottle up all the amazing aromas. The bread slicing machine takes me back there. Take a slice of the white chocolate apricot bread, toast it in your toaster, add a little butter and a nice little breakfast snack is yours!

When one employee finally looked at me, he simply stared at me and gestured by throwing his arms out as if to ask, "What do you want?" in an unprofessional manner. I clearly stated what I wanted to order, but I felt that I was being ignored. Unsure if there was a language barrier, I began pointing to the menu items and identifying exactly what I wanted. Instead of assisting me, the employee began loudly repeating and confirming my order four separate times in a manner that felt more like yelling than customer service. The entire interaction was uncomfortable and unprofessional. I left feeling disrespected and disappointed by the lack of basic courtesy and communication. Regardless of any language differences, customers should be treated with patience, professionalism, and respect.

We went in on a Sunday afternoon so it was not too busy at the time. My girlfriend and I like to be seated at a "low top" because she has back issues with climbing up into higher seating. We don't mind waiting for that as inside "low tops" are limited. The hostess was very nice, as they always are. She took us to the middle of the venue to seat us and then walked away while we were waiting on our server. I stood up to walk around the table so that I could sit next to her instead of across from her. She stood up to move over and pulled out the chair next to her so she could sit back down. At that moment the new general manager walked up, and without offering any explaination, took the chair out of my girlfriend's hand and said, "We need this table for another party." He walked away and left us standing there without offering us another solution, and apology or calling the hostess over to seat us elsewhere. We were left standing there dumbfounded and looking around unsure of what to do. We started walking back toward the front of the venue as we spotted another open "low top" near there. At that same time the female hostess saw what had happened to us, and she started to walk toward us. Meanwhile, another male server - acting as host - seated some people at the new table we were about to get to with the hostess. We got mad and said, "it feels like someone is playing a game on us!" The hostess apologized as she could see we were aggitated. It was not her fault, and we do not blame her. We blame the rudeness of the general manager. We left to go eat somewhere else. This is not the first incident with this general manager, though. A few days prior, we were eating in there and had a good vantage point of one of the side kitchen entries off to the left of the bar toward the ffront half of the venue. A bus boy sloshed water all over the floor while moving wet dishes in a container back into the kitchen. He didn't have a chance to clean it up because he was buy walking back and forth doing other things. No big deal. The general manager walks up and proceeds to yell at another female server about the water who had absolutely nothing to do with the spill After she walks away, he did not take any real care to clean the spot up himself. He comes back after a minute to clean it up but not with a mop or anything. He takes two towels off the bar and mushes it around on the floor with his foot. He , then, proceeds to kick the wet towels under the bar before walking away. Talk about a safety and hygene issue. This kind of left a bad taste in our mouth. He does not treat his venue or his staff very nicely. We wantedd to get up and tell the other female server that we were sorry for her. This venue would be great if they would fire this rude and sloppy general manager. It's a shame because this used to be one of our favorite venues to go to all the time. The experience is starting to feel cheapened and sullied now.

My family and I occasionally go to North Italia to hit our Italian food cravings or when family out of town visits. Every time I head to the one in Legacy I know we will always eat well. This time a few of my cousins from Cali visited, so us TX cousins had to order our usual for them to try- the White Garlic Truffle Bread and Calamari and yes they did like the appetizers, food, ambiance (the whole shebang). Things didn't go unnoticed with me when we went this time this past Tuesday (a summer weekday). Our server was Michael and I want to give a proper shoutout to him for caring for our table. He would switch out our plates and utensils (which I didn't notice if previously the servers/waiters did that before and he just did so swiftly too) as well as he would make sure we were comfortable the entirety of our time there. What stood out to me was I even stated I share a menu item with one of my cousins (unrelated note: the Squid Ink Tonarelli is fragrantly spicy and good every time for me it's so good highly recommend btw) and he put in word to put the pasta into two bowls so it would be convenient for us to share. I can tell he was a detail oriented type of person (or perhaps the place was under new management) but regardless I just wanted to properly thank Michael with this review. One more thing I noticed was at the end of our lunch the staff went towards the kitchen due to what I can only assume a machine malfunction or were understaffed in the back so both the servers/waiters/staff were teaming up to fix the issue at hand. It took time and we left as they continued to fixing. So just to say with all that going on and on top of it all handling it with class and professionally did reach to me. Seriously, thank you so much Michael. I hope you know your actions have been impactful and fortunately reached to me. The North Italia team is so lucky to have you in their team!

Since it was a busy Saturday evening, the longer wait time wasn't an issue, we expected that. Our server was fantastic and made the experience enjoyable despite what happened. She handled everything professionally and was attentive throughout the meal. The problem came when one of our pasta dishes had a long black hair in it. We understand that mistakes happen. We brought it to our server's attention, and she immediately took the dish back and put in a rush order to have it remade. About 20 minutes later, she came back to let us know it was almost ready and that the manager would be bringing it out. Another five minutes passed, but our server ended up bringing the replacement herself. At no point did a manager come to our table to apologize, acknowledge the issue, or check on us. What was even more disappointing was how the situation was handled afterward. After waiting roughly 25 minutes for the replacement dish and receiving a meal that originally contained a hair, the restaurant chose to comp his dessert instead of the pasta. While the gesture was appreciated, the dessert was less expensive than the entrée that had the issue. It just felt like a missed opportunity to make things right. We've always enjoyed dining here and will likely be back because our past experiences have been so positive. However, the lack of manager involvement and the way this situation was handled left us disappointed. A simple apology and comping the affected pasta would have gone a long way in showing that customer satisfaction truly matters.
