Just ordered some last minute take out which was my favorite super crunch roll. Service was rushed but I can appreciate that because I wanted to get in & out.

It's around 3pm I love the Lumpia rolls here but this time, on eclipse day, I ordered the Super Sanno Combination Special! The lady server here was very nice and kind, also let us know that there's another Sanno's like this one in Summerville. I will definitely have to check that one out too, but in the meantime, I took turns with my date to look at the eclipse outside. I had some good shades on and saw the eclipse, who would have known? Lunch was pretty cool today.

While visiting my Granny she wanted to eat here as this is her spot. The food was prepared as ordered and came out quickly, hot and very tasty! I had Teriyaki chicken & shrimp combo with fried rice and sweet carrots. The chicken & shrimp was cooked in onions and broccoli and smothered in teriyaki sauce! It was very flavorful! My Granny and Aunt both had Teriyaki Fish with fried rice & sweet carrots. We each enjoyed our meals! I would definitely try again and recommend you do the same!

First time trying it out. It was sooo tasty.... Just sad they didn't put wasabi in my to go order. Oh yeah their online pricing isn't accurate either. But sushi this good I'll definitely be back.

I am a bit biased but this is my favorite teriyaki chicken place of all time. The teriyaki is both sweet and savory. They don't drenched your chicken on the sauce but it's enough to taste the teriyaki and the chicken that was cook in a hibachi. The price have gone up a bit but honestly great value for portions and taste. It's my must place when I come to SC and it's the place I go when I'm in town. The combos of hibachi like teriyaki and shrimp are so large and can honestly be shared with 2 people. You also get a choice of either fried or white rice and vegetables depending on what you order. The white sauce is definitely a must for dipping.

Sanno Japanese Express Restaurant in Goose Creek is a great place to go for delicious Japanese food that is fresh and well prepared. I really like their menu and how easy it is to get exactly what you want quickly. I have had a really good experience every time I have been here.

Sannos is always a good, quick hibachi place to go to when you are craving it. Although the prices have rised, the food is still good. I ordered the mixed vegetables which was $8.99 and 10 pc spring roll which is now $15. We waited a little bit over 35 minutes for our to go order but they were waiting for the spring rolls to finish.

We love Sanno's - dining in or take out! My husband & I will make the 20-25 minute drive anytime we want sushi bc we haven't found anywhere else in the Goose Creek/Summerville area that is as good as Sanno's.

We were greeted by staff and looked over the menu with a decent selection of hibachi and sushi. We ended up getting the salmon salad and shrimp and steak hibachi. Personally, I was surprised by how small the portions were and the quality of the steak, which was tough to chew. The chunks were humongous, and it would have been more appropriate to provide knives, if the steak was going to be that tough. For the price, I do not think it was worth to dine there, but with inflation and how pricey seafood and steak are, I guess the price makes sense. Their sweet tea also was not good; for comparison, it does not taste like Chick-Fil-A's. Overall, it was an okay dining experience, and the food was mid. I still give 5 stars though, because the staff was super nice, and even gave me extra white sauce to go.

I recommend making a reservation. We did not but Ms. Myles graciously accommodated our table for 2. A few hours prior we checked and reservations were wide open, but by the time we got there, they were pretty booked. The staff is wonderful and the food is made with care. Simply delicious! We began with a cup of their clear broth that was light and flavorful and cleansed our palettes for the grilled meats to come. At the suggestion of Ms. Myles, we had the Crispy Pork for an appetizer. Nice and crisp pieces of pork whose fat was properly rendered back into the meat. A lot of places miss this important step. It was served with a luscious white sauce and lightly vinegared hot sauce. Then we went right into their specialty- Yakitori We had one of each of the following: Momo- chicken Thigh Chicken Tenderloin with Yuzu Honey Glaze Australian Wagyu Beef- they offer American Wagyu, and A5 Japanese Kobe as well Bacon Wrapped Crab- high quality Crab stick wrapped in bacon..this was a standout for me. So rich and full of Umami Ribeye We finished the meal off with a plate of Beef Yaki-Udon. The depth of flavor was incredible and again the Umami took center stage. Interesting fact: They have been at this location for 31 years opening first as an Italian restaurant! Myles has been in Charleston for 40 years and is an icon in the Food and Bev industry. She was most recently recognized by Congress for her impact on the Charleston food scene. We were greeted with a smile and left with a hug. The bar is hidden away in a parking lot where it is difficult to turn into from the other side of the road because of a barrier so you have to make a u turn up the road a little bit. The place itself is kind of small. I sat at the bar but I'm not sure why but it felt a little off. It didn't feel like a normal sushi bar where I felt like I was able to see the chef prepare the food I'm not sure if there was some kind of height disproportion or if the glass with food was blocking the way. The staff was friendly but there did seem to be some kind of miscommunication between the server and the chef when they were doing hand offs on top of the bar. It might be better to do food handoffs at the open corner to the side so the waitress didnt have to reach high and over customers although maybe it is different when it is busy since I was the only one at the bar. The food itself was delicious although I must admit I can't tell the difference between normal sushi. I would rate this as normal sushi. To put things in perspective bad sushi would have dried out rice or fish that tastes a bit off in a bad way. Amazing sushi would be something that just tastes so different but in a good way. Could be a cute casual date spot or even a friend group meet up spot. Keep in mind the space is limited but it shares the menu and space with Taste of Thai next door. I havent been into Taste of Thai yet so I can't talk about the spacing in there.

Then on to the issues here are the following: The hostess with the most-ess and the failed system of reservations and lack there of, no matter how far out you plan in accordance becomes a major debacle when arriving and leaves a poor taste in your mouth. Not to mention the huge snarky attitudes and negative undertones received from the hostess's staff. Literally, I witnessed the young black female this past Saturday evening, Kamaya, I believe is her name display a fake disposition, associated with a fake smile and then spoke negatively of patrons behind their backs, under her breath. I get it, they can't control diners who linger around after being serve and or can't control or predict, when they decide to leave so others are able to be seated and served in a timely fashion. But, I would suggest, to always remain very transparent and do not force bogus rules of rushing a party to arrive early and then convey a message that states your table will be held for 10 minutes and then released/ cancelled. When a party, such as ourselves, arrive before time and then are told that your party will not be seated until all parties are INSIDE the building, even though they are trying to find a park in this small parking lot. Finally, all parties of your group are present and accounted for, standing in your face still within the time frame mentioned. Then to be told, you now have a few tables ahead of you and the wait is approximately 20 minutes. Really? But in actuality you and your guests now wait 40 to 45 minutes after your scheduled reservation. All the while witnessing them seat random small parties that walk in after your large group with an actual reservation. I know this because I listened as I stood idly by the hostess desk. One or the management of this establishment need to focus on revamping this failed system and have some of your hostess to work on their attitudes. Last I checked, it is patrons such as myself that keeps them employed and your business successful and thriving. Also, a word to all other patrons, if you desire a table greater than a party of 12, prepare to pay a deposit of $10 pp but you still will probably have to wait for your reserved tables. The only thing that made me come back to this place was a special request from my daughter for her birthday and our amazing Chef Marcelino, and Gee, our server was pretty cool as well. Needless to say, with all of the hoops, unnecessary rules and lack of communication, unwarranted attitudes, rehearsed apologies and lack of organizational skills, it will be a while before we return to this establishment, if at all! There are too many restaurants here in the Low Country who strive for professionalism and actually value their patrons without the blatant disrespect from their hostess desk. I would give, 5 stars for Marcelino and Gee but 1 star for the hostess desk! Do better!

Their vegetable ramen is promised with a citrus note and there were discernible little bits of yuzu in it. The tofu it comes with is marinated in something sweeter, which wasn't my favorite flavor combination but is typical to the cuisine. I found the flavor improved with tableside spices; they have both a black pepper mix and a house chili powder. The portion size was not huge, and even adding extra inari on the side just satisfied my cravings, and this was after I'd had breakfast.
