Every time I am in town make an effort to stop by because the service is always good and the food is always superb. The sweet carrots make their dish unique and delicious. I typically get the hibachi or teriyaki chicken (sometimes the combo with chicken and shrimp) and it always satisfies my hunger. They give a loving portion size so you could technically eat half and save the other half for another time. You can't go wrong with anything on their menu. I ordered the chicken, shrimp, steak, and scallop combo with rice and carrots for $39.99 it was enough to feed a family. I added mixed vegetables and the crab spring rolls, and everything was absolutely delicious. The portions were generous, and the food was cooked perfectly. Yes, prices are definitely up (like everywhere else), it still feels worth it just more of a treat every 90 days rather than a weekly stop. It's around 3pm I love the Lumpia rolls here but this time, on eclipse day, I ordered the Super Sanno Combination Special! The lady server here was very nice and kind, also let us know that there's another Sanno's like this one in Summerville. I am a bit biased but this is my favorite teriyaki chicken place of all time. The teriyaki is both sweet and savory. They don't drenched your chicken on the sauce but it's enough to taste the teriyaki and the chicken that was cook in a hibachi. The price have gone up a bit but honestly great value for portions and taste. It's my must place when I come to SC and it's the place I go when I'm in town. The combos of hibachi like teriyaki and shrimp are so large and can honestly be shared with 2 people. You also get a choice of either fried or white rice and vegetables depending on what you order. This was a last minute stop when my mom was visiting. She really wanted Japanese takeout and so we went. There were a ton of people in there, which for me, is a good sign. I ordered the philly roll and teriyaki chicken hibachi. The roll was alright. Not the best I've had. Mom and I agreed the carrots were way too sweet. Almost sickly sweet. The broccoli was good though. The chicken was overcooked with sauce that tried to save the dryness. All in all, it was ok. I'll probably stick to my current Japanese take-out though. read more

Sannos is always a good, quick hibachi place to go to when you are craving it. Although the prices have rised, the food is still good. I ordered the mixed vegetables which was $8.99 and 10 pc spring roll which is now $15. My wife and I have eaten here a few times. Each time has been carryout because of the whole covid-19 (corona virus) shutdown for all restaurants' dining areas in SC. Upon walking in I noticed that the employees were polite and professional. The restaurant appeared to be clean. We both order the hibachi chicken and steak. The steak and chicken have been cooked perfectly each time we have been here. The sides that come with the meal is fried rice and sweet carrots. My wife usually substitutes broccoli in place of her carrots because she loves broccoli. The carrots are good though, but if carrots are not your thing you MIGHT be able to substitute them for a different veggie if they have it. They also have sushi but we have not tried it. The service has been quick each time we have been here. They are also very consistent with the amount of food you get and quality of it. You can order when you arrive or call a head and order for carryout. They also have a dining area that looks like a decent size. We cannot wait for the dining areato open back up so we can be able to dine in. Each time I have been here, I have also noticed that they seem to be pretty busy. I was not a fan of the cooked carrots, however. They were way too sweet for my taste. The low sodium soy sauce was so salty we couldn't even use it. The iced tea was just off like it was about to turn sour or something. The sushi rolls fell apart as soon as we tried to eat them. Nothing to blow you away but a solid Hibachi/Sushi place! It's got the same basic menu as most Japanese restaurants in town: hibachi grilled meats with veggies and rice. The lunch special prices and serving sizes are good. The service is always attentive and they're always very quick and efficient. I'm not a sushi person so I can't speak to its quality but my wife enjoys it so I think it's similarly good. We have gone to this location for many years with no problems... on this trip I ordered the jumbo shrimp for me and the habachi chicken for the wife. Several things were wrong with this order... the rice was dry and crumbly... the chicken was real chewy and it was definitely not up to par and with their normal meal. I also ordered a 3 piece Springer all that was hard as a rock and as chewy as laffy taffy. In the past I enjoyed going to this restaurant but I do believe this will be my last visit. read more

Still deserves four stars. Great little spot to grab lunch if in the Goose Creek area. We met with a friend I use to work with when we lived in S.C. The hibachi steak is still as good as I remember and we also ordered spring rolls and a california roll. The spring rolls come out piping hot and they have a good crisp to them. The california rolls were excellent. They were nice, plump cuts and the ingredients very fresh. It came along with fresh ginger and wasabi on the side. Another plus is that an order is supposed to come with 6 pieces but for some reason I got 8. Woohoo.... and they didn't go to waste.
