A restaurant I don't have to change out of my house robe to pick up my takeout?! YES PLEASE!! On top of that the chilaquiles with carne asada in the red sauce is a dish I crave on the regular. Placing my order online and sliding up in drive thru to pick it up is the absolute ideal situation when my social burnout is at its peak. PLUS the chilaquiles are awesome and big enough for 2 meals. I was really craving some Chilaquiles, so I decided to try this place out during my lunch break. I have never been here before, and let's just say I'm so GLAD I chose this location. It was empty when I got there and was immediately greeted by the friendly host and waitress. Everyone was super nice. The ambiance inside was great. Even though it was during lunch hours, the music was awesome, and the place was super clean and put together. The food came out in a timely manner, and everything was DELICIOUS! I ordered the Mexican chilaquiles in red salsa, with rice, beans, avocado, and fried cheese. It was so delicious! The steak was perfectly marinated and very tasteful. I will definitely be coming back to try different items on their menu. They have a wide variety of different foods. They also have a drive-thru window, which was a first for me for a Mexican place, but I feel like that's great, especially if you're running on a short time for lunches. So weird how similar this experience was to my previous one. Both claimed to be super authentic. Both were disappointing to me but delicious for my partner. Maybe I'm just ordering the wrong things, I don't know. Decor inside was nice and the service was great. No cervasas so you are starting out down a star already with me. Queso was great, guacamole and pico were okay. Regular and salsa picante were above average. I just wasn't pleased with my entree. Choripollo seems hard to mess up but my chicken was dry and my beans and rice needed more flavor. As much as I disliked mine, my wife loved hers. Her shrimp tacos were delicious and her tamal was probably the best I've ever tasted. So there you go again, another mixed review. Just based on the outside of the restaurant alone I was a little skeptical of this place, but that was because I did not understand the concept. I think this is a first: an authentic Mexican restaurant with a drive through! This is not Taco Bell type of fast food. This is actually really good! I ordered the tamale and the chicken Gordita and plantains! All of it was fantastic! The prices were great as well! All 3 items were about $12. The only thing I wish they had was a drink menu. A nice margarita would have perfect with this meal! I definitely recommend this place! I am already excited to come back and try more items on their menu! read more

Santa Fe has potential to be my new favorite Mexican in Charlotte. I want to go back again before I make that claim but the first impression was great! I came with a group and everyone got something different. Everyone I was with loved their meal! The enchiladas, plantains, tacos, tamales, and Gorditas were all amazing. Everything was very fresh and authentic. The staff is very friendly. They have a drive through that is open late as well! What more can you ask for? Been in Charlotte 8 years and have had our fair share of Mexican food. Santa Fe just blew all of them out of the water. Best Mexican food in Charlotte. Went to dinner here last night with pretty high expectations given the Yelp reviews and their (impressive) Instagram presence. We ordered guacamole and chicken and shrimp fajitas. Everything was passable - but, not the outstanding food that I was expecting. The service was fairly slow, but certainly friendly. It's decent, average Mexican food IMO. The seafood soup did look very good - I saw it on a couple of different tables. read more

Definitely the best, most authentic, accessible Mexican in Charlotte! While the service could use some work and the employees were all sitting around on their phones the food makes up for it. I just finished purchasing an order of 1 1/2 chicken and I asked for some hot sauce something so simple; Gaby as written on the ticket, did not want to give me any well she didn't give me anything after all. I had a bad experience, we are mixed couple not sure that had anything to do with the service we got, the waitress took for ever ask us what we would like to drink , then when we did tell her it took her a long time to bring our drink and when bringing us the plates to serve our food, two of them were dirty. The regular cut of Horchata was charge almost $5 never got charge that much for regular Horchata drink . Horrible Experience!! New restaurant that opened up in my neighborhood. Husband and I ordered tacos, tamales and sopes. The al pastor meat was delicious on the sope. The sopes look pretty "small" but are very filling! We ordered pork and chicken tamales. I'm more of a fan on the pork tamales. Meat was tender and delicious. The chicken tamales seemed more "dry" to me. Overall everything was great! Restaurant was empty upon entering at 6:40pm this should've been my clue. But I try to give new restaurants a chance. We ordered our food the teen waitress wasn't familiar with the item I ordered she reconfirmed w/ the kitchen. My friend & I received our food my burrito was stuffed with the rice & beans. I clearly said I wanted it on the side. I wasn't pleased with the item and asked to reorder the chicken quesadilla instead. Waitress need to explain to the Non-English speaking manager my problem. After about 5mins of this I said "look I'm hungry". Can you bring me a quesadilla. Manager decided I will be billed $2 for that uneaten plate. I said fine. This place serves no alcohol as well.
