Amazing location that you wouldn't find anywhere else. Everyone was so friendly and helpful and explaining the recipes and the menu for me. I got a Tepache and they actually gave me a sample of their own homemade Tepache. Be sure to order that the food was excellent, delicious authentic.

We came here yesterday and had to come back today. The tacos are amazing. Today we tried some new stuff. The picada, huarache, and a Cuban torta (sandwich). Everything was amazing. We would drive 20 min again to come here. We heard the birria tacos are amazing as well but only available on Saturday and Sunday! I'll let you know when we return for that gem!

Food was delicious, service was good ambiance was a hole in the wall but the food makes up for it. I took a 30 min drive. Food was very good but not $4.15 a taco worth. WAY overpriced!!! Maybe $2.50 worth but not $4.15 each.

This place is a hidden gem and I will recommend it always. This place is located next to a Mexican store. You order at the cash register and then wait around for it inside the food store. You can eat there if you'd like but seating is very limited since the food area is also small. They have authentic Mexican dishes such a huitlacoche, or corn smut. Flor de calabaza, or pumpkin flower. They also have the blue corn tortillas. They sell everything from tacos, to quesadillas, tortas, etc. Meat portions are very generous and the quesadillas and tortas are big. My order was fast, hot and fresh. They include a sauteed jalapeño, grilled onions and two packages of salsa, with limes, onions and cilantro. TIP: Menudo is available on the weekends. Blue corn tortillas are the first thing they run out of.

El Rinconcito Chilango is true to its name as being a little taste of local, authentic Mexican food. The style is typical of Street food in DF (Mexico City) with large portions, delicious flavors, and the feel of a local small restaurant. If you don't speak Spanish, don't be intimidated to try here. Everyone is kind and helpful with recommendations. Grab the drink of your choice from the coolers in the grocery store side, order your food and pay at the register, and then go to the adjacent room where you can watch the people cook your delicious food. It's standing room or stools but people rotate in and out quickly so you don't have to wait long for a place to perch as you eat your food. Everything was delicious from the generous portions of the tacos to the tlacoyo.

GEM!!!!!! Finally, I decided to try this place put after my sister kept raving about it. Went on a Wednesday during lunch hours. It was fairly empty when I arrived, BUT as soon as I placed my order, though, everyone started arriving. You enter through the supermarket portion, and you actually order at the cashier in the store portion instead of the actual taqueria. Now I will say, this is a little pricey, but honestly, what isn't expensive at this point. I ordered a Carne Asada quesadilla ($8), 2 Cecina tacos ($3 each), and then a pineapple agua Fresca (8). If you order specialty tacos (Celina, tripa, etc), you HAVE to order 2 tacos. Not just one, which I thought was weird and hated it, but oh well. I will say, though, the food makes up for the price and any kinks this place may have! It was all so delicious!!!!! Omg it def hit my craving. It was all very well marinated, and the quesadilla was huge! Definitely great portions, and they don't skimp you on meat at all. This is definitely a hole in the wall place, but I definitely recommend it. Located off East Blvd and plenty of parking out front.

Authentic food, good prices. My favorite thing has been the asada quesadilla. The tortilla is freshly made unlike the tacos here. The tortillas for the tacos are not fresh, they are like prepackaged and not good quality. But you can't go wrong with the quesadillas.

Really good tacos. Very authentic spot. Small place with only about 6 stools. It is connected to a Latin grocery store, where I paid. The staff is nice. They take credit card. The tacos are delicious. I ordered three tacos. One pollo, one barbocoa, and one al pastor. I asked for all the fixings. The tacos came with a side of a vegetable and long hot. Those were incredibly tacos. The tacos were extremely flavorful. The meat was tender and tasted fresh. The flavors were awesome. This place is a hidden gem. I highly recommend it for lunch or takeout. The service is fast.

With its subdued lighting, faded brick walls and tightly packed tables, it's the perfect spot to escape with a bottle of tequila on a rainy Friday night. But if your circumstances aren't quite so desperate, Que Onda is also a great destination for an intimate date night or an evening with friends. On a recent visit, my wife and I started with a bowl of chips and queso, accompanied by a pair of oversized house margaritas. When I complained to our server about my drink's disappointing lack of kick, he took it off the bill and recommended the far superior Patron Cadillac Margarita, which improved my mood in a hurry. For dinner, I dove into a delicious taco combo platter of steak, carnitas and baja fish, while my wive enjoyed a tasty Taco Salad. Service was outstanding throughout our meal, the prices were reasonable, and the ambiance superb. Well worth a visit if you're looking for solid Mexican food and margaritas in Charlotte.

I originally was going to place the order online, but they're online option said it was unavailable so I went inside and sat down at the bar. The service was OK though it seemed most people did not speak English, which is fine. It just made it kind of harder to communicate. That said the food was decent but the reason why I gave two stars was because I feel very misled on pricing. The menu showed Que Siberia tacos three for $12. Steak/Asada tacos for three dollars which brings my total to 15+ the two drinks. I thought she said it was $20.80 so I paid it with my card and gave her five dollars cash for a tip. I get to the car just to double check the transaction and she charged me 3499 on my card and took the cash. I went back inside to confront her about this advising. She completely overcharged me, and she only offered to give my six dollars tip back to me. I am now going to dispute the transaction with my bank because I was unable to resolve this issue. That's sad.

I fell in love with Superica when I first moved to Charlotte nearly three years ago, and it quickly…read morebecame one of my go-to spots for reliable, flavorful Tex-Mex. But I have to start with a small heartbreak: my beloved puffy taco is gone. I grew up in San Antonio, Texas, where the puffy taco was created, and it's deeply nostalgic for me. It's not a sope, not a tostada--it's a true puffy taco, light, airy, and unlike anything else. For a long time, Superica made one that came remarkably close to what I grew up with. Unfortunately, after changes in leadership and kitchen management, it quietly disappeared from the menu. That was a real disappointment. That said, I still come back--because the food here is consistently good. The crispy tacos with picadillo are my current favorite. Picadillo (P-I-C-A-D-I-L-L-O) is a traditional Latin dish with many regional variations, and this version reminds me of the one my grandmother used to make in San Antonio. The portions are generous, the flavors are balanced, and the menu offers something for everyone--from enchiladas and chile rellenos to steaks and fresh tableside guacamole. Speaking of guacamole, I'm a purist. I like it simple: avocado, jalapeño, cilantro, lime, garlic--chunky and clean. Superica delivers on that. The chips and salsa are bottomless, the salsa has great depth of flavor, and for those who like heat, they offer a tiny dropper of hot sauce that is smoky, bold, and absolutely not for the faint of heart. The ginger margarita is another standout. It comes with a generous piece of crystallized ginger and has a bright, balanced flavor that makes it easy to order a second one. And if you have room for dessert, do not skip the tres leches cake--rich, decadent, and a perfect way to end the meal. I also appreciate the little touches here: * Friendly, knowledgeable waitstaff * A lively bar area that's great for happy hour * A beautiful outdoor patio that makes al fresco dining feel special * And a fun tradition of sending you home with a packaged Texas praline This South End location is my personal favorite. It feels more adult and relaxed, while the Strawberry Hill location tends to be more family-heavy. Both are good, but the vibe here suits me better. Yes, prices have crept up a bit--as they have everywhere--but the quality, consistency, and atmosphere keep me coming back. And as someone who travels frequently for work across multiple states, I appreciate that Superica maintains a dependable standard wherever I encounter it. Bottom line: Even without the puffy taco, Superica remains one of my favorite Tex-Mex spots in Charlotte. Come hungry, bring friends, share plates--and as always, travel safe and eat well.
