This staff took over 2 years ago but I'm not sure it's any better than "older" reviews. One star for being kind and polite (all staff) 0 stars for honesty and transparency from a first time patient making an appointment. I guess it's really for the receptionist who apparently within the 1.5 weeks I made my appointment to coming in "no longer works here". That says a lot. Made my appointment, confirmed my insurance. Twice. Triple checked they could do a basic cleaning and remove a retainer. "Yes, your insurance covers it and we can do it same day as your appointment, anything else needs approval". Okay that makes sense, appointment day comes and I'm there an hour and a half doing X-rays and exam, no biggie. I'm triple checking at front desk and dental assistants what I need, front desk is agreeing again (who are all very kind). Dental assistant told me we need to triple check insurance, someone else who does that will come by. Waited for her to come after dr tells me no- we charge to remove the retainer. The lady that does billing tells me the same, $200 to remove the retainer, and if I needed (I do) the deep cleaning insurance won't cover both regular and deep (makes sense, no biggie). Pissed that I took the day off, found a sitter, confirmed with front desk that insurance would remove the retainer so I can clean there better only to be "bait and switched" .. "baited and switched"? You get it. They aren't upfront. It shows. Sad because they are actually all so nice and hospitable. Wasted my entire morning. Now I have to go back further to my old dentist who would remove the retainer and do a cleaning same day without having a consultation first and is upfront with all costs. read more

Wonderful experience at this office, I received reminders from staff and transparency when it came to insurance and out of pocket charges. The office was clean, the dental assistants were kind and reassuring I got a total of three cavities filled. The procedure was efficient but gentle. I let them know I have anxiety and bad experiences from past dental procedures. The Dr. was friendly and checked in on me during the procedure to ensure that I was okay. The dental assistants were friendly and made me feel comfortable with small talk and jokes. I appreciated that because it made me feel like they cared about my comfort. They were all empathetic to the fact that most people don't enjoy the dentist. The dental assistant was right, this was Disneyland compared to other dentist lol. My husband, daughter, sister and her 2 kids and I have been coming here for over 23 years with Dr Figueroa. In 2023 Dr Perez took over the Dental office. "FOR THE RECORD"I'm not an easy patient to be treated, I ask many questions, I complain for everything and anesthesia always makes me really sick. Dr Perez is an exceptional, professional and kind dentist with a really nice and professional staff. He never tries to uncharge or oversell you. He simply cares about your overall oral hygiene. He works to be pain free as well, I have no fear going to his office. They make the process quick and thorough. His equipment is excellent new and modern. Have been a patient for 25 years and have always had decent service, that was until the last couple of years wherein I noticed a drastic change in the quality of work provided to patients. It is apparent that Santa Martha is spiraling downward with the many changes in personnel as many of the employee that once cared about the patient have been replaced by employees that look out to profit for Santa Martha. As a long time patient I caution you to avoid this place if at all possible, as they will try to suggest treatments that are not really needed and are in so much of a hurry to get you out the door will perform subpar work that will have to be done over again at your expense and time. read more

I was so Lucky to find this place , I honestly loved my experience, I called to see if they took walk-ins as a first time patient and they said yes ! I was excited they took me in last minute because I am a hair salon owner and I do not have a lot of time off work . When I got there they gave me the form to fill out and then in about 10 minutes they took me and took the X-Rays and the check up . I was excited they did not find anything wrong with my teeth. I asked if they had time to clean my teeth and they did have an opening and they just made my day because I got my teeth cleaned and they doctor was so kind and the staff was very professional and sweet . Very unorganized, an authorization that I've been waiting on has taken way longer than it should have. A whole month and a half to be exact. On the third week I started calling at least once a week but the biller was always out or unavailable so I called the insurance to check on the status... they sent them a notice that x-rays were missing a month ago and they still haven't updated the info. I had to wait an hour for my appointment. When I checked in I noticed there were 3 other people who checked in with the SAME time appointment as me! Had I known they were gonna make me wait that long I would have left. I came in for a consultation for braces. My teeth are fairly straight with just one crooked tooth that overlaps another tooth. My price was $4000 for TWO years!!! I had gotten another consultation for 1 year at $2800 somewhere else. This place is such a rip off! Not to mention the dr didn't make an effort to make me feel comfortable and relaxed. I'm so glad I decided to shop around before I made a decision on an ortho. KEEP LOOKING! Dentist Figueroa is not for you. I visited this man and was in pain, confused, and desperately seeking clarity about what my options were in regards to managing a bad tooth. Minutes into my conversation Figueroa waived his hand and dismissed me. To make sure there was no confusion about his being done with the conversation (I was in the middle of talking) he got up and left. I was not raising my voice. I was not being belligerent. I was not being unreasonable and yet what I got in return was a completely unprofessional response from this man. I was astonished, considering I was still talking. A couple of assistants scurried in and would not answer my question about if Figueroa had just walked out on me. Total trust blown, I had no option but to walk out. Everyone can get frustrated. It's how you deal with frustration that makes a person responsible or not. If Figueroa's response to frustration during a conversation is to abandon a patient, who's to say what he does when your eyes are closed, he's in your month and he gets frustrated. Save you and your families time, money, and dental wellness. Don't take a risk and be impacted by his having a bad day. I relocated to the area and did significant research to find a new dentist. I can't tell you how disappointed I am to find out Figueroa is NOT really what the reviews make him out to be. I am a great believer in referrals and have sent scores of people to my last dentist alone. The only thing I will tell people about Figueroa is to avoid his office. Don't really have any issues other than I took my son I was told all he need it was 3 Small fillings due to cavity's OK wen he came out he had 3 crowns somewhere in the process it change from fillings to crowns and I wasn't told as a parent I should have been notified I'm not sure if crowns where necessary but I'm not a Dr. From reading other reviews about overcharging and unnecessary work it makes you think. read more

This place is something else! Although staff was nice the doctor was the one who upset me with his inattentiveness. First time he had barley glanced at my teeth then gave the ok for the cleaning.
