Guys. Idk what to tell you. Best pizza in the world and I'd die on that hill. Plus the freaking lamb skewers and fresh bread, seriously no words. It's just this freaking house with the world's best food hiding inside it. We ate at the counter and got to interact with the nicest staff who were absolutely slammed and still took the time to chat. This is the everything you could want from a pizza joint and was unmatched. Best vibe ever!

Onion and mushroom pizza cooked to perfection.

We had drs appointments in Boston and decided to have a late lunch. We love it here but it's a hike from where we live so we don't get here very often. It was wonderful. Got one large sausage with hot cherry peppers and wonderful Italian coarse textured bread and an onion mushroom pizza of which we brought half home. Our only complaint is I asked for the pizza crispy and they did not do it. It still was yummy but would have been better! Always would go anytime we are even close!

We ordered grilled beef and grilled lamb. We liked both of them. It was seasoned nicely. Portion was okay. It also came with bread. I wished there was butter for the bread. Service was good. If there's a next time, we will try the pizza.

Us with the most awesome waiter ever, or since I from New Orleans can I say EVAH??

Can we say plus 10 ??? Loved this place. In a neighborhood. No tourists in site. Our friend John, said it was a must do. And being from MA. he would know. We had the pepperoni pie and after a suggestion from our awesome waiter, we ordered lamb tips. Fresh slaughtered in the back! Then we were quickly rerouted with the best path to follow our list. Someone thought we were led down the road and had a refreshing, calming meditation in the park. Here we are with the BEST waiter ever: Check him out!

Smaller, more expensive, way too wet, not good flavor. Too much tomatoes and cheese, not enough other stuff When I complained to the waitress, to her credit, she admitted it looked wet and suggested it was coming from the vegetables. They really need to adjust their recipe. In the meantime, I ordered a cheese pizza at her suggestion, to take home, and she gave me a nice discount. When I got home, the wife and I heated it up, and it was fine. David Portnoy gives them an 8.2 for that pizza, I would say 8.0 Certainly not the best in Boston anymore, but decent. I appreciate the good service.

My boyfriend has been coming to Santarpio's since he was a kid, so it's a special place and I was excited to get to share that nostalgia with him. We ordered his favorites. First, a single sausage skewer served with hot cherry peppers and fresh baked Italian bread. Then we split a cheese pizza. The sausages were juicy and huge, plus the bread was delicious. I enjoyed the peppers but they were spicy so I didn't eat all of them. Now the pizza, its great! The cheese, sauce, crust--all super fresh. If a place makes cheese pizza well, it's a good indicator of how well the rest will be. Let's just say they passed the test. It's not a huge pie but if you order the sausage or another appetizer, you'll be fine. We did have to wait for a table but we didn't wait too long. This place gets packed so be prepared to wait! Santarpios is also full of charm. It has an old school vibe and feels cozy. I was glad to share this experience with my boyfriend in one of his childhood spots!

Crunchy sausage and onion pizza minus the sausage minus the onion. Extra crunchy for no good reason. Pass

To go order: Dry crunchy crust full of inedible air bubbles. Hardly any onion and even less sausage on my onion & sausage pie. Steak tips were unseasoned, no salt no pepper, no marinade- nothing. $40 for tired bland food. It's not rocket science. Fool me once...

The BEST pizza I've ever had. I The staff is welcoming from the movement you walk in the door- greeting you, chatting with you, quick service, make you feel like family. The environment is unmatched- old feel Boston.

Ok I'm not going to add anything here that hasn't been said so I'll share a funny share from my most recent trip this weekend to the Tarpp ..( as far as a review positively everything was marvelous, scrumptious and our service was perfect !!! ) We ordered our roni with skewers and while we are downing our drinks a young woman was sat nearby us - she arrived aline with a suitcase fresh off a plane at Logan and like anyone traveling - probably starving. I remember thinking - she's in for a treat if she doesn't already know about this legendary locale. When our serve returns to her she asked soooo politely "is there another menu?" And in the nicest way I the server was like " oh honey it's all pizza and some kabobs ! " She fiddled for a moment before ordering a single chicken skewer and a glass of water . I hope she's doing ok !

    Beer. Best beer glass around.

Ask the Community - Santarpio's Pizza

    Do they accept credit cards?

They didn't years ago but DO now.

Where do customers park? Tried going but everything was permit parking and zero paid parking

Right before Santarpios there is a little side street. Take that and immediately on your left there are plenty of parking under the overpass.

Do you serve salad now? Reviews suggest not but I see it's on the menu

Not at the East Boston Location only at the Peabody one

    Do they deliver?

    Yes. Via Doordash

Do they offer non-dairy, plant-based cheese for their pizza? Thank you!

    No we do not.

I remember the pie being bigger then am I wrong? Mind you I haven't been there in a couple of years before this time a couple of days ago.

Jose The size of the pizza has not changed.

Do they no longer offer a large pie? Because the works without anchovies I got the other day was obviously medium I ask because there were no options offered on the online ordering platform.

Santarpio's only has one size pizza.

Has anyone been able to get a hold of Santarpio's this month? It says open but nobody ever picks up?

Hello Rob, Santarpio's Pizza opened on Monday May 4 for curbside pick-up and DoorDash delivery. We are open daily from 11:30-8.

It's been 5 years since having to go GF, so 5 years since Santarpio's pizza! Patiently waiting for Santarpio's to make gluten free pizza!!! Please let me know when?

I wouldnt hold my breath for GF pizza crust. Santarpios is more of a it is what it is, its been this way for years why change it model.

The menu mentions "Italian cheese" is on their pizzas. What, specifically, do they mean by "Italian cheese"?

Mozzarella I would assume. As well as Asiago and possibly fontina and marscapone

We ordered a pizza by phone during the St. Anthony Feast, and the woman who took our order was curt and rude from the start -- I chalked it up to the festival rush. But it got worse when we picked up. We paid $32 for a pizza and asked if we could sit inside to eat it and there were plenty of available tables. We were told no -- inside is table service only, and takeout means you take it and eat elsewhere. Fine, except there was nowhere to sit outside at the festival. When we asked about using one of their own outdoor tables (they had roughly 30, and it was 11:15am, 45 minutes before the festival even started, so the tables were empty), we were told those were reserved for table-service customers only. This was after we'd already spent $32 in their restaurant. Regina's has been around for 100 years, but somewhere along the way they stopped caring about basic hospitality. Paying customers with nowhere to eat their food shouldn't be treated as an inconvenience. We won't be back.

You can immediately tell this place takes pride in what they do, especially when you see the chefs in action. While the kitchen delivered a solid meal, the service was so profoundly disappointing that it completely overshadowed the food. The culinary side of things easily earns a solid 3.5 out of 5 stars. We ordered a wide variety of items to share, and the highlights included: * The Pizzas: Creative flavor combinations with fresh, high-quality toppings and fantastic crusts. * The Bucatini Pasta: Perfectly cooked and packed with rich flavor. * The Asparagus Appetizer & The Chicken Milanese: Both executed well, flavorful, and cooked to a high standard. Unfortunately, the front-of-house experience was uniformly horrible. For a large party, hospitality can make or break the night, and our server missed the mark at every single turn: * Argumentative & Dismissive: He actively argued with our host regarding an appetizer that had been ordered in advance. When asked about vegetarian substitutions for a sold-out pasta dish, he curtly replied, "Pasta with butter is all we can do"--despite the fact that we could clearly see a wide variety of fresh vegetables being used right on their pizzas. * Inattentive: Dirty dishes piled up on our table, and when we politely asked for them to be cleared, he claimed he needed to get help and walked away completely empty-handed. Our drink orders were rarely checked on or refilled. * Rude to Guests: He displayed visible attitude and put-off body language whenever anyone asked a simple question. This peaked when he was outright rude to one of the young women in our party who simply wanted to put her order in a bit early because she had to leave before the rest of the group. It is a real shame because the ingredients and the kitchen's output are genuinely good. However, between the hostile attitude and the lack of basic service standards, we unfortunately won't be rushing back.

My birthday was noted on the reservation, but there was no acknowledgment of it when I arrived. I'm not expecting a grand celebration, but for a place with such a classy, trendy, upscale reputation, I expected a warmer welcome and at least some acknowledgment of the occasion. To me, service and hospitality are a huge part of the dining experience, and that initial welcome just didn't set the tone I was hoping for on my birthday. A heads-up if you're driving: there isn't parking immediately nearby, so expect to walk a little. Also, pay attention once you're on the street because GPS can be a little misleading when trying to locate the entrance. Thankfully, our server, Alexia was great! She was very kind, sweet, and attentive. I actually had to tell her myself that it was my birthday, and once she knew, she did what was necessary to acknowledge it and make the occasion feel a little more special. I really appreciated her for that. The food was good as well. I didn't end up trying any of their cocktails, which is unusual for me, especially during a birthday dinner. By that point, the overall experience just hadn't put me in the celebratory mood I had expected when I chose Yvonne's for the occasion. Maybe my expectations were higher because this was somewhere I'd wanted to visit for so long, but hospitality matters to me, especially at an establishment like this. Amanda helped turn things around, and the food was good, but the overall experience still left me disappointed. Will I come back? I'm honestly unsure.
