I'm gonna separate this into two reviews: adults and kid. Adult: Fresh sauce, pretty good crust, a bit floppy but overall quite flavorful and would 100% eat again. Near the Embassy Suites, about a 5 min walk. Ordered online. Picked up at the take out door. Food was really good. Had steak tips and sausage and a combo pizza. Steak and sausage comes with cherry peppers and Italian bread (which was amazing). The pizza crust was what you'd expect for NY style. Easily foldable but still crispy edges with bubbles that got charred and crisp. Just the way I like it. Wonderful flavors. Sitting out at JetBlue waiting for our flight. We needed to get something to eat before boarding for a 5 hour flight. Santarpio's is next to us so we ordered a pizza figuring it would be a frozen pizza put in a microwave. NOPE! We got a hand thrown pizza with great sauce! I had to throw these guys a shout out because it was yummy! Not as nice as maybe in one of their restaurant but darn good! I stayed local to this place for a week long work trip. This joint was in walking distance for me so 1st night gave it a shot. WOW....the pizza blew me away.....ever since the 1st taste I was hooked, this was my spot for my whole trip. The CBG (Chicken, broccoli garlic) pie was out of this world, I typically enjoy red pies too.....Kyle behind the bar was great....following days after my meals there I couldn't wait to get back.....old school joint with just pizza and skewers....I opted for the lamb and sausage one night after switching it up from pizza. Steak tips are to die for very good cut of meat made to order the way you like. we got ours, medium well in our lamb well done both were very full of taste and the lamb was very good also and did not taste over Lammy if you know what I mean . straight to the point kind of food here nothing fancy no frills the pizza the same way it's just good nothing amazing!!! We got their Italian Cheese , Pepperoni , Garlic Italian Cheese And Hot Peppers Pizza ($18) and ate it right away in the car. It's the best thing ever!! Boston is a big city and obviously one associated with history and great food. I have been a few times but hadn't really explored the Seaport area a lot. A work trip recently brought me back and my colleague and I decided to find some solid pizza outside of the North End. Santarpio's was almost universally the local's nomination. It did not let us down. Loaded in history and 4th generation family ownership this place is awesome. Contrary to what their Yelp listing said they DO accept credit cards. The full bar is also a great touch. We sat at the bar and enjoyed the conversation of the bartender and one of the long time chefs and grill master. Wonderful people. We had a pizza and two skewers (chicken and steak). They serve the skewers with peppers and onions and house-made bread. Everything was delicious but the pizza is outstanding. I can see why many use this spot as their go-to for pizza. Not only would I recommend it but we will be back. read more

I want to start by saying this place has my heart as the service was great and the location charmed me. Take a moment to leave your table and look at the pictures on the wall. This pizzeria has a wonderful Boston history. Speak to the staff as some have been there for decade. It was quite when we arrived however we went for an early lunch as everything I read warned that the place is hopping for dinner. Its a small restaurant so I could see it filling up quickly. I wanted to try the works pizza however my daughter is not a fan of anchovies. The server recommended that we could request half anchovies which made her happy and willing to give the pizza a shot. We also decided to ordered the steak skewers. For me the skewers were good very tender but I would have appreciated a little more seasoning. The pizza was good but not great. My daughter pointed out that the crust wasn't as good as she would have hoped. The toppings were really good and the sauce bold but the crust was dry and lacked flavor which threw off the pizza altogether. The food was still good and I want to say sometimes its not just about the food alone. This place was worth the visit for me. The food, the people and the ambience created fond memories. No it wasn't the ultimate epicurean moment, but it did hit the spot in other ways. I felt like it was a real slice of Boston (pun intended). read more

What a gem! Santarpios is a local favorite and we met a couple there who were locals that moved away but make it a point to stop in when in town. They said we will not regret our visit. We stumbled on this pizza place from YouTube. We knew we were coming to town and scoped out some must try eateries. We Ubered over and picked a perfect time around 3ish as shortly after the place got packed and there was a wait. We did start off with the steak tip skewer which was so not the norm of a pizza place but wow, delicious. Don't skip the skewers to start. Unfortunately the pizza from Santarpio's ended up being one of the worst pizzas we've paid for. We ordered two sausage pizzas -- paid extra for one of them to have extra cheese, and yet they both ended up having the same amount. The pizza almost tasted like a stale or old pizza, it was hard, chewy at times, and the crust was burnt and inedible. The pizza had little sausage and you could barely taste it. Also -- all the ingredients kept falling off. It was almost like there was no connection between the toppings and the dough. At last, they didn't even cut our pie into slices. The good thing about this place, however, are the prices. I'm hoping we just caught them on an off-day. read more

I was so disgusted with the experience that I forgot my leftovers (I ate very little while I was there). So, Santarpios fuckheads, some parting words - the food is exceptionally good, and you will still pack 'em in because of that, but the gratuitously abusive behavior turned my stomach and made me lose my appetite.
