Long story short, I paid $118 and did not come home with any glasses. I was told that the frames would be an additional $100 because I required thinner lenses. Then after deciding to take my prescription elsewhere and just pay for the exam, an additional $39 was added. I asked why and she said that I had a special test done. I told her no one mentioned this to me and she said " well it's only $39". I feel gross. I'm really upset that they got away with it. The woman was making me feel bad for not having insurance and kept asking questions that were unhelpful. UPDATE: I was contacted by the regional manager who sincerely apologized for my experience. I appreciate his care and attention towards the matter. Hopefully he helps to align his staff on an ideal customer experience

I do however have 20/20 so he explained that tho I may struggle in more dimly lit areas, glasses were not necessary! Gave me a prescription anyways in case I wanted to see clearer, but assured me my eyes are developed enough to not need any help currently. Great place! Would have given 5 stars, but their sanitization processes are lacking a bit. Things were a bit dirty - but I didn't mind lol!

Arrived for a weekday morning eye exam appointment. The mall barely opening. Most folks are either…read morestuck at their day job or not even awake, so there's plenty of up front parking. Well, other than the sporting goods store, this corner of Parkway Plaza has far less traffic congestion. The appointment went smoothly. Before seeing the optometrist, I sat at a few machines to check eye prescription and get eye images for the doctor to review general health. That slight puff of air on my eyeball always catches me by surprise. Next stop was with the optometrist in the other office for the traditional eye exam: * reading eye charts * answering "Which is clearer...1 or 2...now how about 3 or 4?" * looking off into the distance while doc uses a flashlight to check for eyeball abnormalities. After the exam, a friendly sales rep helped fill the eyeglass frame order with my current prescription. I'll wait for the call when new glasses are ready. In the meantime, I need to send the receipts before FSA reimbursement expires.

She said they could and took my glasses off to a counter a few feet away. She spent several minutes Trying to install the little screw that I brought her.she then tried to tweak the little hinges on the frames themselves and then brought them back and said she was sorry she could not take care of it. She recommended I take my Columbia glasses to the Oakley store since they sell Columbia glasses there. I asked her if she knew any nearby but she did not. I said thanks and I took my glasses over to Kaiser Permanente where I purchased them. When I got to Kaiser I explained to the person working at the counter that I could not get the screw in anymore as it was stripped and they said they could take care of it for me. Iopened up the glasses and handed them to a technician who pointed to the hinges and asked what happened. While the young lady at eyeglass world was working on them she crushed the hinges together with the needle nose pliers she was using, (where the screw goes into and the arm) would no longer fit in place. I was told they could try to fix them but there was a great possibility that it would fall apart and be ruined. The tech at Kaiser worked on them for about 15 minutes and gently was able to pry the little hinge open far enough to be able to get the arm installed and a new screw which was tapered in place because of the threads being crushed by the pliers. It is my fault for not looking at my own glasses before I walked out of eyeglass world but I really wish that the person working there would not be so deceitful as to Damage my property and then hand them back to me with a smile and recommend I go somewhere else. For this reason I cannot trust this company, specifically this location to work with my property or earn my money and respect.

However, after I asked to speak with a doctor, Savannah stepped in and completely changed the experience. She took the time to listen, looked into the situation, consulted with management, and followed up with me the next day. When my replacement glasses were mistakenly sent to an old address, Savannah went above and beyond by personally driving to the home and leaving her business card in an effort to help recover them. That level of customer service is rare. While the situation itself was frustrating, Savannah's professionalism, persistence, and willingness to help turned it into a positive experience. After more than 15 years as a patient, I can confidently say that Dr. Mashouf and the medical team have earned my trust. No office is perfect, but how a team responds when something goes wrong says a lot about its culture. How does that make sense? My vision is complicated, and continuity of care matters. I understand having policies, but there should also be room for compassion and reasonable judgment. This experience made it feel like collecting a fee was more important than patient care. After 35 years with a doctor who truly cared about his patients, this was incredibly disappointing.
