It was 100+ degrees every day, so we needed someone fast. Lucky for us, we called Focus. They are a local company and were able to come over after hours for an additional fee. Within 2 hours, John was working on the heat pump. Not only was he a pleasant man to deal with, he was knowledgeable, showed me exactly what was wrong and what he was doing, and he did so quickly and efficiently. The office staff was great, too. He diagnosed the problem after a leak check, checked their history on the heat pump, called the office for more info, and I was told I needed refrigerant and a new compressor. The company called the manufacturer and because it wasn't that old the compressor was provided to me at no cost, and also a discount on the refrigerant. The new part arrived a few days later, Tim showed up timely and obviously knew what he was doing. He installed things, double checked my thermostat, answered my questions and provided a written description of his work. When I called to report the issue, my first call was routed to an answering service and I did not receive a return call. I called again and reached someone at the business. When I explained that the system was still not working and the person responsible for paying the bills was understandably upset, the woman who answered responded by saying, " That doesn't matter to me." I found this response dismissive and completely inappropriate, particularly given the amount of money we have spent with your company and the urgency of the heating issue. As a result of both the unresoved issues and this interaction, we will not be using Mill Creek again, nor recommending your services to others.
