Auditorium Theatre - Previews Prior to Wicked 2

Had a fantastic time at Santikos Cibolo! We made the 5:15 PM showing of Wicked 2, and the service was phenomenal. I really appreciate the Santikos Rewards--got a large popcorn and a water bottle at no extra cost. She also tried one of the Wicked-themed drinks, and judging by her reaction, it was a hit.

    Dirty seats.

Still dirty. Just sat down. Kiosk doesn't work. Place is busy, which is good, but come on, clean a bit better.

Santikos provides great movies options. Become a rewards member to get reward. Seats are comfortable and electric. You can buy tickets online, inside, or on the app! Food are reasonable priced! Good place to hang out and watch good movies

Fried pickles They don't mess around with portions, enough to share .

My friend and I met up mid week. Such a generous birthday treat for dinner and movies. I was shocked at how much everything cost! This was my first time at the movies since the pandemic started. I had the Chicken tenders which came with fries, regular drink and we shared a large popcorn. My friend had a burger and regular drink. Lifemark was a great movie based on a true story. Adoption has touched both of our lives and such an amazing gift. Highly recommend!

Had a big family group come here last month for bowling. We got there on a Sunday right when they opened without reservations. We were able to reserve our 2 hour time with no problem. There are many bowling lanes. Staff is nice. They have a full service bar and concession stand. There was an arcade too but we didn't make it over there. Was a nice time and fun place.

Having a great time at Santikos in Cibilo for Beats & Brews!

    - Mixed Experience…read more Went to see a movie here recently and the overall experience was disappointing, but I do want to give credit where it's due because the staff was actually outstanding and very friendly. That said, the theater itself needs major improvement. The building had an unpleasant smell when we walked in. The hot dog bread was old, hard, and tasted like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for days. My Doritos nachos were stale, and the ICEE tasted like straight syrup with barely any carbonation. The seats also felt cramped and uncomfortable, which made it hard to fully enjoy the movie. The employees were easily the best part of the experience, so this review isn't directed at them at all. Management just really needs to improve the food quality and overall theater upkeep.

We walked in circles three times looking for the ticket kiosk. The person who was meant to give us 3d glasses let us walk past him two more times without addressing us. Once we sat down, I was bummed that the theaters lack recliners. The ancient seats were uncomfortable and dirty. Once the movie started, the speakers were only working on one side of the theater. Yvonne (manager) refunded our tickets (because none of the employees knew how). However, Yvonne rudely told me I was wrong about the sound and offered no apology for the poor overall experience; no leadership whatsoever from this person. I highly recommend Santikos Cibolo. The theater is modern, the sound works and our tickets, drinks and popcorn were several dollars less expensive. I don't see any reason to visit Regal Live Oak again. They don't do a single thing right.

It's been awhile since I've been to this theater and remembered that the reclining seats weren't as comfortable as Alamo Drafthouse's. Well I think they had a remodel since then because the seats were very cushiony, seemed newer as the seats weren't worn down and the width of the seats and spacing between seats seemed ample enough that you're not going to bump your neighbor. The tray tables are also well-placed so that your table isn't impeding your view. I think it was well-designed. It was a smaller theater with only 5 rows but the terraced rows were low enough that someone walking in the lower row won't impede your view as well. The theater wasn't super cold as some places are where I'm using a hoodie and jacket in the middle of summer. Folks in line and around us still brought their blankets, LOL! To note, there's a $5 Santikos ticket deal where you can buy these tickets during the last few showings of a featured movie. They're only available for purchase at the theater according to the onscreen ad. Concession stands are downstairs and there's a bar. The screen showed a clip where you can order your food and have it brought to you for a small service fee. There was also a message of knowing where to exit and being vigilant with your surroundings or something to that effect. It's always good to be street-smart these days. After the movie, we exited and there was a Sheriff's Deputy that was outside and looking at his phone. I figured he was going to be on guard today or perhaps the weekend since a major world event occurred today that I expected ramped up security in public places.

We had popcorn, extra butter, and a freestyle soda, diet cherry vanilla Dr Pepper. The ticket taker was super nice and understood we had a larger group coming in. Last time I was here, we ordered from laminated menus & a server took our order by hand. Now your order is designated by your seat number so the order goes straight to the kitchen & I guess a server? Not sure because a server came up to us asking if we were asking about Bloody Marys twice and we told him no. Another one put the iced water on my friend's table even though she hadn't even ordered anything? I don't know where the disconnect is occurring but they need to work it out if this is a brand new system. I ordered my regular Carnivore pizza and saw you could select or omit your ingredients. We couldn't before. Pizza took about 18 minutes and I asked the server for more napkins which he brought later. This new pizza wasn't a thin crust like before and didn't have a zesty sauce as before. I was disappointed because I usually look forward to their thin, crispy pizzas and would consider just ordering that to go if I could. There's an 18% Service Fee added to the check so you don't have to tip at the end. Too bad you can't alter it because the service may be poor? Also, at the end of the movie, they'll text you "WHEN THE FILM ENDS, you have 20 mins to close your tab b4 it auto-closes with 5% tip." WHAT???!! I had my phone on silent so I noticed it when I got to my car & told my friends which they already closed. Both of those reasons I probably won't order a Carnivore pizza again. It was fun while it lasted to have a Mimosa & Pizza. Adding extra "tips" on top of the mandatory "Service Fees" just seems excessive. I can see someone overlooking this after a movie ends if their phone is off, if they have to use the restroom, saying bye to friends, etc. JUST REMEMBER TO CLOSE YOUR TAB BEFORE THE 20 MINUTES ARE UP AFTER THE MOVIE ENDS AND BEWARE OF THE 5% TIP YOU CAN DECLINE!! Bathrooms are clean, seats are reclined but I'd prefer a higher recline for my legs and so did my friends but I get that it has to be flexible for all heights. Lastly, watch where you park because there's a bar across the parking lot below. My friend came back to a scratched up bumper we think was from someone who was drunk!

We came from Houston to San Antonio to visit the majestic theater for a show, and I researched and…read morefound out AMC Rivercenter has a 70mm IMAX theater. I was immediately excited, as I thought the only one in Texas was in Dallas and I was NOT driving there. I booked tickets to see the Odyssey on what I THOUGHT was today, however I accidentally booked them for next Sunday. I was informed of this at the check in and was devastated at my own error. I asked if we could still get tickets for this showing and the attendant said it was full (understandably as this is a new movie and this viewing version is only available at certain theaters). They had tickets for a 10pm showing, but we were unable to stay in San Antonio that late as we had to be back in Houston this evening for appointments. I then asked if we could wait and see if someone didn't show up if we could buy tickets for their seats. I was told this was unlikely (understandably), but I could talk to the attendant at a different counter and see if it was possible to wait. I went there and spoke to Keely. I repeated the situation and asked again if we would be able to wait and see if someone didn't show up. She was very understanding and kind and reiterated she didn't think that would be possible but she would ask her manager. Doreen was the manager on duty and I repeated the situation. She said she would look and see if anyone had cancelled their tickets and if any more seating was available, but could not guarantee anything, and if seats were available they likely wouldn't be good seats (again, understandable). I told her I would be grateful for any seats. She looked, and there happened to be two handicapped seats available (my mother who was with me is handicapped). The seats were in an area she didn't have to worry about accessibility. And I am so grateful to the team there and wanted to reach out and let you know how well your team at the Rivercenter is taking care of customers. I am beyond grateful to have seen such a wonderful film as intended by the creators and it was only possible thanks to your wonderful team. I hope you take the time to recognize Keely and Doreen for going above and beyond what they had to in order to help a movie lover in a difficult situation that was my own mistake. Very Respectfully, Cecilia Rivera P.S. the theater was very clean including the restrooms and the staff let the handicapped individuals (there were more than us) in the show out of a side exit so we did not get jostled in the crowd leaving and I am also very grateful for that. TLDR: The theater staff and the theater itself is amazing and they all deserve a minimum $1.00/hr raise.

Three years and a day later, after graduating and relocating to Central Texas, we drove just about an hour each to see Odyssey. This is Yelp, not Letterboxd, so my opinions on Odyssey are not in the review, but seeing a movie in 70mm IMAX on a screen as huge as the one here at the Rivercenter AMC turns a movie into an attraction. It makes a movie feel like an event. A barnburner. It's unlike anything else. I don't care how uncomfortable the seats might be... Okay, I care a little. The IMAX theater crams people into that theater like an airline. You are practically sitting on people's laps, and if anyone around you shows up late, needs to go to the bathroom, or gets up for any reason, they have to part the Nicole Kidman AMC Red Sea. If you shop at the big and tall section at the store, you're not gonna have a comfortable experience. The concession, like all AMCs, feels illegal, but are you NOT gonna drink an unreasonably large soda? Whatever. I hope after maintaining this IMAX projector through Odyssey, they continue to show movies in 70mm at this AMC. Time will only tell. P.S., after the Rivercenter parking garage changed to Metropolis parking, you only get a discount on parking with a ticket. Not a fan! RIYL: The big screen. The comically large screen.
