My Friday pizZA goodness! I ate pizza here EVERY Friday for lunch when I worked in the area. The waitstaff was always friendly and the food is top notch. I saw where another pizza place in the area was awarded best pizza by the local rag. I guess some people have no taste because I had eaten there and their dried out cardboard.....excuse me...pizza was NOWHERE CLOSE to Allessio's. Go ahead and try some other pizza places in the area. This is my third time at this restaurant, I really like the pizza. I usually order a cheese pizza slice and 10 hot wings. No complaints until today. The pizza and wings have been consistently good. However, today the pizza was good, but I was served old/not fresh wings. They were dressed up in sauce, so I could not immediately tell. I was hungry, so I tried to get past the cool temperature and dryness. I could not, I ate only four wings and did not want to take the rest with me. If I were intoxicated, they would have been great. The server was okay, he gave 20% off, I did not ask for a discount. Not sure which was worse, the server knowingly giving me old food, or the measly discount. If I go back, I will stick to pizza only. read more

I would come here all the time with my family a couple years ago and we all loved it. never any complaints. the food was amazing. Recently I took two of my friends there with me who had never been. They fell in love. We all ordered different things and everything tasted amazing. They said they wanna eat there all the time now. brings back memories from a few years ago with my family lol. I would say they could step up their service. This is the best pizza, by far, in all of Georgia. This is TRUE NY pizza! The crust was cooked perfectly, the cheese was incredible, the sauce was perfect (It must be an old secret family recipe straight from italy,) and the toppings were fresh and tasty!!! We LOVE this restaurant! We eat there once a week, and usually have one of the authentic Italian pasta dishes (such as Ziti Santino's), while the children have pizza. Our only problem is getting there before the entire neighborhood arrives and takes up all the seating! They need to expand this place! It used to be Alesio's, but although the name changed, the excellent menu continues to serve those wonderful garlic knot rolls! Came here for dinner on a Tuesday night and had the eggplant Parmesan. It was delicious! Sauce was fresh and sooooo good. I tried a bite of the white pizza, it was good too! Crust was thin and crispy and not too doughy. read more

Food is fine but you would think from the amount of competition in the area they wouldn't nickel and dime you for everything. Asked for extra marinara sauce on side...$4. Pros: The pasta, the pizza, the garlic bread, the service, the staff, the atmosphere, the parking space, and the location. Cons: Just the fact that it does get a little too noisy for my liking. Also, they do serve their food in large portions. This is a really great thing in my own personal opinion. You will never leave here feeling hungry, but always feeling full. This is truly a great and awesome place for some excellent Italian food. I definitely highly recommend this place for great Italian food. Don't bother to go if you have kids. We went solely because my daughter wanted pizza and loves theirs. They told us they could do pizza by the slice for her so we could order a pizza that us adults wanted. Waited nearly an hour to get it and the pizza comes and then they inform us that they were wrong and were no longer making pizza by the slice. So now they expected us to eat in front of my daughter who in the end wasn't getting her pizza. This was the most horrible evening out as a family. We've been long time customers of Santino's. This place has always had great food every time. They've had the same pizza maker for years and the consistency is amazing. They have a full menu and each dish is prepared fresh to order. If you're in a hurry for lunch they offer slices as well. This is my third time coming here and I first tried this place when it was named Alessio's. I have given this place three chances at different times hoping the service would be better. I have never sat down and ate, I just always picked up but anytime I would come in they always made me feel like I was bothering them for picking up a pizza. Today I get there at 3:30, and they told me it would be 20 minutes to pick up. So I get there 5 minutes early and they looked mad at me and he explained bc he told me 20 minutes bc he was giving his cook a break. I told him it was fine. I wasn't mad, I was smiling the whole time but I couldn't wait to get my pizza and just go. This was my last experience...I do have to say the pizza is great but there are plenty of other choices and I do not mind making a further drive for good service and great pizza. read more

Yum! Stopped in for lunch this afternoon. Perfect spot for a hot meal on a wet, windy day. 1st time here. Typical family oriented pizzeria and menu offerings, but wow to the delicious aroma coming from the kitchen was intoxicating. I had 2 (yeah I was hungry) slices of meatball pizza, and my seat mate had a cheese-melty bowl of ziti with a side salad. Oh, and garlic knots were included. The service was great. Read the reviews on Kudzu.com and you will find that they not only lose takeout orders but then abuse the customer who makes the mistake of thinking his order will be ready at the promised time and contain the items ordered. Great food, nice atmosphere, great alternative to the chain pizza places around town. One thing that Johns Creek suffers from is a lack of non-chain restaurants. Alessio's on Old Alabama is about as close as you can get. There are other Alessio's in the area, including one on McGinnis Ferry, but the food and menu are drastically different, so don't judge this one based on your experiences at the others (not even in the same ballpark). Their marinara is amazing! Even my 3 year old, who can be a bit of a punk about food, wanted the left over marinara from her father's calzone, which he orders EVERY single time we go there. The pizza's delicious, but nothing beats their sandwiches. I had a grilled chicken on some thick, delicious bread. The waiter complimented my choice after he recovered from his surprise (most women in JC don't actually ever eat), and it was incredible. The wait staff is great with kids, my only complaint would be that there's not a lot of sauce with the kid's spaghetti (which partially explains why my daughter needed her father's marinara). Otherwise, this is a solid choice for a low-key, doesn't break the bank, isn't a chain Mexican restaurant in Johns Creek. read more

However tonight my family and I came for dinner and everything was great except my meal, I ordered Penne Ala vodka and it was very pasty and I just didn't enjoy it, and when I told the waiter he asked if I wanted him to box it because maybe someone else in my family would eat it, when I said no he still brought the box and I again said I didn't want the box because I would not eat it, he never offered to exchange it for anything else and when we got the check he hadn't taken it off..
