I really enjoy the food, but the last 3 times I've been here, they've run out of falafel.

Just wanted to give Santorini another 5 star review. I was fortunate enough to dine there on a day when they were offering ground lamb with their hummus. So, the hummus is already the best in town and now they are offering it with ground lamb (when available). It takes the dish to a whole other level! I couldn't resist and also ordered the french fries sandwich with the garlic cream... trust me it's amazing. Just make sure that you have breath mints handy if you plan on being in close proximity to others. As always, the service staff was prompt and friendly. Kudos to Asia for great service and remembering my name! I will definitely be returning! read more

Great food at this place. Was a real nice change from beans, cheese, and tortilla. It's not cheap food but it is very tasty. My only complaint is the menu. We tried Santorini today for the #YelpsBigNightIn event. We had our food delivered using OrangeCrate but look forward to eating there in person one day. They have a great mix of Greek and Lebanese food and it was simply delicious. We chose a mix of menu items like the Lamb Kabob, Lamb Gyros, and Greek Mashouwi. The rice has just a hint of cinnamon that really brought out the flavor of the dishes. We also got a couple of appetizers: Baba Ghanoush and Dolmades. I'm picky about how I like my Dolmades and these did not disappoint. The grape leaves were not too bitter and the filling was really good. I paired everything with a New Mexico Mission Red Wine and it was simply a great meal and I'm marking this restaurant down as another favorite! read more

I want to preface this with I have extremely high standards for Greek food since my Yia Yia cooks better than any restaurant I've ever been to BUT with that being said this place was pretty good. The tzatiki was notably my favorite, Greek salad and spanakopita were decent and the stuffed grape leaves okay. I recently gave up meat so I can't comment on that but lots of vegetarian options. The restaurant inside is modern, clean and super sweet staff. Overall definitely worth checking out if you live or are visiting LC. read more

I'm gonna be upfront and just say it now. I do not care much for Greek/Mediteranian food. But the wife and I were attending a birthday dinner here and I sucked it up and went. She loves the stuff. I ate mostly the appetizers because I just can't get into yogurt on my beef. Sorry. But I think the review is fair for what I did have. Hummus (Lebanese): It got a rave review from the table. Heck even I ate some and didn't dislike it! Chickpeas Cooked & mashed with Tahini, Lemon Juice, Salt & Garlic. Garnished with tomato, cucumber & Kalamata Olives; Topped with Olive oil & Sumac. Served with a Greek or Lebanese Pita. Tzaziki (Greek): Ok, so this was my favorite thing at dinner. Sour cream blended with cucumber, salt, garlic & oregano. Garnished with tomato, cucumber & olives. Topped with olive oil. Served with a Greek pita. Next time I'll just eat this. Dolmades (Greek, Lebanese): Too sticky for me. I felt like the grape leaves stuck to the roof of my mouth all night. Stuffed Grape Leaves filled with rice and seasoning. Served with a side of Tzatziki, tomato & cucumber. Chicken Taouk: Chicken. Not much spice or seasoning. Blah. Even my Greek food fan of a wife thought it was average. The rice was good and the garlic sauce stuff they serve with it was a HUGE hit. The servings aren't small. So there is plenty to share with the group. The side salad that came with it was pretty much your basic side salad. The dressing was not overwhelming or drowning the veggies though. Everyone who had gyros said they were delicious. So maybe I should stick with the basic traditional stuff. Service was pleasant and they got all our separate checks done right. NOTE: They add your tip on at 20% when they bring the check. Not cool. Place was mostly empty. They have take out. Menu says beer but they don't serve it anymore. The bathroom was a war zone. Santorini is an island in Greece that is high up on the list. In Las Cruces, it's also a Greek restaurant. Spent a night in Las Cruces and checked out Santorini. I was shocked to see how dead Las Cruces is at night. Lots of restaurants close early and nobody was on the streets. For having a college campus in the city, I couldn't believe how much of a snoozefest it was. It was no surprise that we were the only people dining at Santorini. Two or three people came to order take out while we were there and that's it. I tried their pomegranate lemonade which tasted really weird. It had a milky taste to it which is bizarre for a lemonade. While I wasn't a fan of their homemade lemonade, we tried their souvlaki sandwich with fries. The souvlaki was seasoned well while the fries were a bit undercooked so they weren't the greatest. The portions weren't huge but you got a lot of bang for your buck for the price. Not a bad place to check out if you're a student. read more

Just ordered lunch for my daughter who has allergies. I requested no pita bread and when i picked up, the pita bread was in the platter. When I asked if I could see the ingredients in the pita that is not made fresh, the cook in the back said to the waitstaff "it's not my problem" all within my line of sight and hearing. Terrible service from the cook. The waitstaff was apologetic and polite. will not be returning ever or recommending to any of the conference attendees I'm with at the convention center. read more

So I saw the reviews for this place looked pretty good so I figured why not. I wanted the vegetarian combo platter which looked great in the pics that were posted. I had a great waitress who was very pleasant and as I finished the veggie combo platter I thought I would have a dessert. The waitress mentioned the "Mahgli" which was a cinnamon rice flour pudding that was supposed to have coconut and mixed nuts on it. So I told her I would try it and when she brought it it had a dried layer of pudding on the top as if it sat in a refrigerator and dried up a bit. It also did not taste fresh and was very cold. But what was really surprising was that it tasted almost identical to a cinnamon cream of wheat. Also the nuts that were sprinkled on top were all one kind of nut and there was no coconut whatsoever. So I tried to choke it down and maybe got halfway through it and told the waitress that it truly was inedible. She took it and I ordered the Baklava. I ate it and it was normal Baklava, not like the kind I find in Cleveland but edible. When I got the bill the owner insisted that I pay for that nasty dessert because I ate half of it. I could hear him yelling in the kitchen over a $2.29 dessert!!! This is the first time I have ever encountered this much drama over a $2.29 food item. Actually this is the first time I have ever been charged for inedible food. The guy in the kitchen needs to learn some customer service and keep his mouth shut as far as I'm concerned if he wants to keep customers. We found this place on a whim as we passed through on a road trip. We spent an evening at Santorini with another couple on a Friday night as I had previously communicated with Santorini staff on Twitter and I had been wanting to enjoy some Greek cuisine for the past few weeks. We arrived early and sat at the bar in the restaurant, which has a very crisp and clean decor that is bright, fresh, and inviting. The staff was very attentive to our needs as we enjoyed a cider and beer while we waited for the other couple to arrive. Once everyone arrived and we sat down to eat, we began with the Vegetarian Platter, where we chose our three items that included hummus, baba ghanoush, and tzatziki sauce with pita bread. All three dips were fresh, tasty, smooth, and a real joy to consume. That could have been the entire meal, actually, if we had ordered it again. For the main course, though, I had the lamb gyro as I love gyros and had to try it as this was my first time at Santorini. Overall, it is very satisfying and tasty. The lamb was tender and cooked perfectly, the veggies in the pita were typical of a gyro (lettuce, tomato, onions), and the tzatziki sauce had a nice flavor, maybe a bit understated, but still very enjoyable. In summary, we will definitely dine here again. If you're in the mood for Greek or Lebanese cuisine, this is a great place to visit in Las Cruces, New Mexico. read more

I asked if I could get my Gyro cut in half so that I could eat fewer calories and take the other half home. It's hard to cut the sandwich with the butter knives they provide customers here. But they refused. I even asked to speak to the owner/manager so I could explain and was told he was too busy to speak to me. It was such a small request. We ordered lots of food so it's not like I was trying to get away with something. You'll have a good time talking to the owner there. Okay, my review might be more on a Californian standard and having experience as a head server for Japanese and Korean restaurants. I thought Vietnamese restaurants in SoCal have the worst service...but nope. This place has been the worst place I have ever dined at!!! Minus one star for when I first stepped in, the man (assuming is in charge) and this girl (cashier/server) just stares at us. I would expect at least, "Sit anywhere guys", especially when it was empty at 8pm on a Monday night and they close at 9pm. This was on Monday night of January 5th, 2015. Minus another star when we had to grab our own menus and seat ourselves. The man still just stood there until we sat down he asked, "For here?". Uh...yeah...we sat down and grabbed our menus to order for to go -_- Minus another star: when I saw the man leave to his backroom to play his own music loudly (disturbing the music videos being played for customers) and the girl got us waters. She asked if we were ready and it had only been two minutes since we sat down with the menus we picked up ourselves. It we walked in confused and asking out loud if we had to seat ourselves and looked for the menu, maybe it's best to start us off with "are you new and would you like any suggestions or a few minutes to decide?" rather than "ready to order?" In addition, she was spraying chemicals and cleaning when the food was ready to be served. I watched her and she did not wash her hands, just grabbed both plates and served us. If you had your food serving certification, you would know you must wash your hands every time you have touched: chemicals, a broom/mop, cut up meat, cooked, etc. before you serve food. Minus another star for the girl constantly coming back every five minutes to check on us (if we finished eating) and gave us a check 10 minutes into our food. Left the credit card on the table with the check she gave us there for another five minutes thinking she'll come back to check on us, but no. What was she doing when we came up to pay? She was on her phone. The food was good but not extraordinary. But then again, my dine in experience may have caused me my appetite. Because of my experience here (no smiles, rush me out, and bad business), I honestly like the food and service at Tiffany's more. My first time at Tiffany's you can tell they were closing and everyone had gone home. The last man there just waited patiently and chat with us while we finish our food. The experience felt more friendly and a business with integrity. We left Santorini at 830pm (only stayed there half an hour, 5 minutes of figuring out of we needed to seat ourselves, grab our own menus, and order; 5 minutes for the food to come out; 15 minutes of eating; 5 minutes of waiting to pay) and they close at 9pm. The response to my original review from the owner implies that the issue with the restaurant not having falafel is due to covid. I went to the restaurant 3 times before the pandemic. Each time I was told that there was no falafel. It just isn't a menu item that has ever been available. So take it off the menu. Add it as a special if it's going to be available. Whatever. On a road trip from North Texas to the Salt River Valley. Stopping in Las Cruces for the night and wanting to try this place I saw when I was tripping in the other direction. I called my order in about 3 hours ahead of time from Van Horn, TX. I showed up right when I asked for the food to be ready and there it was, hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. Lamb Kabob platter was 100%. I usually gauge Mediterranean-cuisine places by their French fries and this place has some of the best. Great food. Great customer service. They have great French fries! The Greek salad was ok-they used unripened tomatoes, a definite "no" in Greek culture! The Gyro sandwich was ok also-I expected a bigger size but ok. They have an impressive menu so it'll take me several tries to really feel comfortable giving my my ultimate but the service was great (not that many people). It's a spacious, modern looking restaurant a la South Beach or clique New York style. They serve beer and are waiting for their wine license and have a odd-looking bar. My friends and I had lunch here recently, it was my first time. I had the chicken shawarma sandwich with hummus, it was outstanding. The service was friendly and prompt, our dishes arrived quickly. The ambiance is attractive with unique seating sections which are separated by a maze style short wall. I recommend this establishment for lunch. read more
