Still love Twins after decades of eating here. We always get a large pizza, half pepperoni, half (what ever I'm feeling that day) cooked 'well done'. We often add a side salad to the order and sometimes we get a pitcher of beer to share. They have so many items on their menu. If you are not in the mood for pizza they have pastas and hand held items, soup, antipasti, seafood, chicken and so on. We just come for the pizza. Every time. The older section has booth seating with juke boxes at each table. Bring your quarters if you want to play some songs. The addition has a small bar area and table seating. Men's and Ladies' restroom are in the area between the two sections. A small parking area is in the back, plus on street parking in the surrounding neighborhood. They do a brisk take-out business and on busy days (weekends for example) be prepared to wait for a table. Even after adding an addition, they still have folks waiting for a table. Okay okay so this place has been around FOREVER - we all grew up coming here and this was the PLACE for pizza when having company over .. still good.. but man, I left there with such a headache. Our waitress was very nice , when we ordered she warned us that for a small pizza it would be an hour or a little over that.. eh okay so we grabbed some apps to munch on before the pizza came out.. the phone rang CONSTANTLY during our entire visit here.. and I mean non stop. I get no pleasure from writing this review, I believe in supporting local businesses and have been going to twins for about 30 years. Have had good meals in the past. Never expected a whole lot but always been satisfied with we got. Like the pizza. but A month ago I ordered fish and chips. Both my wife and I took one bite and it went straight in trash. It was disgusting. Thinking that everyone has a bad day now and again, (I said nothing.) Not wanting to judge them on one bad experience, I decided to give them another chance so I just ordered spaghetti and meatballs with cheese. Pizza is good, service is deplorable! Called at 4:15 to ask what time I should call to pick up a pizza at 5:45. Guy told me he could take the order now and pizza would be ready at 5:45. I arrived at 5:48 to pick up and was told it would be ready in 5 minutes, pizza came out at 6:21, just as I was ready to leave without it. There were at least 10 people waiting for pizza in the lobby getting frustrated when I left. My wife, who was waiting in the car, came in and asked for a refund from the manager, who said she should have to refund all these people waiting if she did. I came to Twin's Pizza on Pizza Week to try one of their two specials. I elected to get their Garlic Shrimp Pizza since I am a seafood lover! To be honest, I didn't have the highest expectation of the shrimp pizza being good because shrimp is often overcooked in many different restaurants that I've been to. To my surprise, the shrimp was cooked absolutely perfect. This pizza also had red peppers, artichoke, and fresh parsley. All the ingredients married each other perfectly, and my favorite part was actually the crust. The crust is light, crispy, and airy. I can clearly see why there were so many people at this restaurant as they ROCK! I didn't dine in, but from what I could tell - the staff were attentive, efficient, and polite. I drive by this establishment on my way home from work everyday, I have been saying for months that I wanted to try. Tonight we could not decide on what we wanted for dinner and I remembered this place and how it looks promising. We are so happy we decided to order from here. We ordered mozzarella sticks, a small pizza with eggplant and ricotta, and a large pizza with pepperoni and sausage on half. We requested our pizzas medium cook (which I'm glad we did because anymore cook and it might've been too much cook, it was absolutely perfectly cooked). We were quoted 40 minutes to pickup. The woman who took our order was friendly and helpful. Once we took the pizzas home we did notice that our large was missing pepperoni. But honestly the pizza was so good we don't even mind. The crust is so delicious. It is crunchy, but also soft and so flavorful!! The sauce was so well seasoned and seriously so delicious. The sausage on the large pizza had the best bite and snap. The mozzarella sticks were really good as well, the only thing that would make them better is if we ate them fresh (I like when my mozzarella sticks have that nice cheese pull and after they get solid it reduces the experience, but nonetheless they were still delicious and nicely seasoned.). My absolute favorite was the small pizza with eggplant and ricotta. The eggplant was delicious and almost melted in my mouth with the ricotta. That crust was phenomenal. My only thing I would do differently for next time is have them double cut the small pizza, because the slices are a bit large (but that's okay!). We ate the mozzarella sticks and large pizza so fast I forgot to take a picture. The only reason I can't give this 5 starts was because of the missing pepperoni. Let me just start out saying...we love Twins. We've been going the for 40 years and live about 45 minutes away. Though for the past three times we've ordered it's been wrong. The first time it was missing the meatballs. Second time it was again missing the meatballs, though it had mushrooms & onions. On Sunday, it had the meatballs though under the sauce it was loaded with onions. My husband despises onions. We're not sure what going on...all these years the orders have been correct. Yes, we checked the first two times only sadly to see that the order was wrong. But what can we do...wait another 30-40 minutes for another pie. I look at menu but I always get the twins super platter( love it ) and the soup of the day! (Fresh and homemade) You have plenty of food for a couple of meals! You don't go for the ambiance, it's like you are transported back to 70's pizza place, pretty sure it hasn't changed much since then. I've had Twin's Pizza twice. Once dining in and more recently delivery and both times were good but if you want to get the best Twin's experience, you need to dine in. The place has a real old school Italian vibe inside. The small pizza is round and the large is a square. The pizza is very light, similar to a Sicilian. They are generous with their meat toppings too. I like the taste of their sausage a little more than the meatball, but both are still great. Twins is a traditional establishment owned by a family that takes great pride in their food. Make sure to call ahead whether picking up or dining in. Their pizzas are HUGE. Great crust, sauce, and cheese. If you're responsible for bringing pizza to a party or gathering, Twins will be a guaranteed winner. Glad I called early since I was told it would be 45 minutes (Such is the case during 'peak' hours) but I live close by so it's still insanely convenient. Finished product was outstanding. Huge meatball slices placed on top of the 'roni and the crust as well as underside were evenly cooked and had just the right amount of crunch. I tried calling the business and it went to an automated message saying they were closed. I got to the restaurant and no one would allow me to enter to pick up my food. As someone who worked for an Italian restaurant as a corporate trainer, this is a terrible business practice. You should always give great customer service so that you have repeat customers in which you can continue to build revenue.
