First time to the Met Philadelphia and needed an easy place to eat a late, late lunch (4pm) and ended up with a great experience. Our server, Mia, gave us fast, courteous (funny) service. We ate at one of the neat/clean tables in the bar area. I needed the washroom and was delighted to find a modern, clean, and stocked 2-doored women's bathroom. Pizza was watery, soupy, and soggy I really didn't like it. The grilled chicken was cubed in a way I didn't enjoy. Staff was rude and said food would take 10 minutes. It took 22. Not sure why Santucci's has three stars because Santucci's has always been a Philly fan favorite in my book and their N Broad location is absolutely delicious! I had no idea Santucci's had the most delicious festive cocktails for the holidays! We tried their signature Christmas cocktails which included a sugar cookie martini and a cranberry margarita. I absolutely loved both of these fun, cute cocktails and would come here solely for those! But my personal favorite was their espresso martini which they have on tap at Santucci's and it is made with espresso infused stateside vodka and Dript Coffee Co coffee. Truly incredible and I will be craving these now that I tried them! All of the food at Santucci's is made fresh to order from family recipes passed down generations. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner Tracey who was so friendly and helpful when it came to navigating the menu! She explained to me that the Santucci's brand has been around for 60 years specializing in their original square pizza that's made with the cheese on bottom, sauce on top! They have over 27 toppings to choose from and you can customize any pizza to your liking! But they have so much more than just pizza! They also have delicious French fries, salads, sandwiches, pastas, desserts, and some locations even do brunch! For food, we started off with the Caprese salad and the fried mozzarella. Both were incredible and I was obsessed with the cheese pull on the mozz sticks! We then decided to split the penne vodka sauce with cherry tomatoes and spinach. We also added the chicken cutlet on top. We were OBSESSED with the vodka sauce. You could drink the sauce it was so good. The chicken was pounded to perfection and fried beautifully. Definitely my favorite menu item I tried and their vodka sauce was one of my favorites I've ever had! We also had to try their classic square pie so we went with Tracey's recommended family favorite which was their white pie with banana peppers, prosciutto, and chipotle hot honey! The crust was perfect and so delicious. The hot honey paired perfectly with this combination.   Overall, Santucci's on N Broad is truly incredible and you would be a fool not to check this spot out! An incredible family owned resturant that has been around for 60 years. They have 12 locations and all of their menu items are classic Italian dishes, made to order and truly fantastic! Tried Santucci's Pizza in Philly--solid overall. Ordered white, regular, and pepperoni with Mike's hot honey; the pepperoni was fire with that spicy-sweet vibe and stood out. Definitely try it. A solid choice for tasty pizza. I don't know why but do think on some level square pizzas taste better. Maybe it's the thicker dough. Either way, Santucci's is good. I got a small pizza with The Works and it was great. Fresh right out of the oven as I picked it up. So fresh and hot that I think the toppings slid down the pizza as I carried the box home with me. But hey it still tasted great and it's hardly something I can fault Santucci's on. Toppings tasted fresh and good. I also ordered hot buffalo wings and those were fine but great. The food is so nostalgic to me as I grew up eating at the location previously in the northeast. They have the best drinks here, the fountain soda is always so fresh! The prices are a bit higher but the ambiance of the restaurant and the taste of the food is worth it. My only complaints are the parking situation which is inevitable, and that the person at the register wasn't too friendly but that didn't and won't deter me from coming here again! Went here with some friends last night got seated right away. Ordered the pepporoni pizza with garlic parm boneless wings. The pizza here is unique because the sauce is on top of the cheese. Very fun concept, the sauce was very flavorful. Crust is was thick. The cheese was a bit stringy. Also maybe consider a different place in you're on a budget 1 large pizza with 12 boneless wings cost 51 bucks... overall staff was very friendly there's also a bar that has 6 packs of beers if you need alcohol in a pinch! Definitely filling and made me feel like I was eating "healthy" with the amount of toppings on it. Wasn't my favorite though so I don't think I would reorder this. Easy reservations for this past Friday. Selected "beer garden" but it was basically just sitting in the bar. That was disappointing. Our server was awesome and took great care of our table. Limited drafts with a full bar otherwise. The pizza is upside down style with sauce on top. It's served hot. I recommend you get the large pie for the price. My husband and I were in Philly yesterday, up from Fort Lauderdale, to attend the Nick Cave show at the MET. We had never been to Philly, so we decided to wing it in our selection of restaurants for dinner before the show. We decided on Santucci's. The place was totally bustling and almost entirely filled up, but we were fortunate to get a table. Our order was the penne alla vodka with shrimp. We were told the sauce is made from scratch and it's not sitting around, it's made prior to each order and that it may take a few more minutes to come out. We weren't in an immense hurry and drank our prosecco and listened to the Nick Cave music that was playing throughout the restaurant (nice touch since we were only a couple hours from showtime). The staff was totally attentive and welcoming, and we met the owner as well who stopped by our table more than once to make sure we were satisfied with everything. Our waitress kept tabs on us in a good way, she never disappeared on us or, on the other hand, was overbearing, and even the guy clearing other tables popped over to cheerfully take a photo for us when we interrupted his work. The food was amazing, such fresh ingredients and the sauce was fantastic. The shrimp were large, perfectly cooked, not overdone or underdone, and the whole meal couldn't have been improved on. The garlic bread was the perfect compliment. I have to say every interaction with the people of Philly wherever we went that day prior to Santucci's was a good experience each time -- and Santucci's was the perfect ending and the perfect set-up to roll into Nick Cave's amazing show! If we ever make it back up to Philly, we will definitely going back to Santucci's. read more

The pizza is delicious! I've had two experiences with Santucci's, more recently, a to go order and previously dined in. Again both of which I've enjoyed the pizza. The location is clean and ordering is straight forward. The staff is helpful and direct which I genuinely appreciate. You won't go wrong with your pizza order, the dough, sauce, and cheese are perfectly combined. During my dine in experience the house wine was decently priced and I believe I had the house salad as well. Again all of which was pretty good for price and taste. Very Unprofessional. Placed a large catering order for delivery. Before ending the call, asked for a total. When the delivery came the next day, the receipt was handed to me and there was a $39 price difference from the total that was given to me the day before. I don't think it's unreasonable to be surprised with such a large price discrepancy. There should be complete transparency for a total when a large catering order is placed and what a consumer should expect. Called for an explanation and the manager stated she would speak to the person who took my order and will give me a call back the next day with info on how to rectify this. Rude! We have ordered from Santucci's for many years and even had some events catered with them. Unfortunately, we had the worst experience with them during the Superbowl. We ordered a day in advance knowing it was going to be busy. When we showed up, they told us "sorry, we're behind about 15 minutes." But 45 minutes later, Tracey, the owner tells us that they won't honor our order (which was prepaid). (We missed the Superbowl kickoff and had to find other food for our babysitter.) Tracey was rude and dismissive when I asked for a refund because they wouldn't honor our order and she told us she'd do it the next day. After a couple days without any refund, I had to go back to the restaurant to ask for my money back in person. In short, food is pretty good, but after being dismissed and treated rudely, we will just not be going back anymore. We used to be supportive neighbors, but now we're just disappointed, duped, and disgusted! Coming from a family who has run a small take out before, I can tell you that the way we were treated was not the way you treat neighborhood and loyal customers. What a shame! read more

My friend and I went out in a weeknight to see the Doobie Brothers with Michael McDonald for their +/- (as they announced) 50th (!) Anniversary Tour at The MET Philadelphia. We wanted to go out to dinner beforehand and chose Santucci's. My friend was familiar with the restaurant and so was I but we hadn't eaten at this one. Glad we had a reservation because the place filled up quickly after we arrived. There were several others also going to the concert, and we ended up striking up a conversation with some senior sisters who were seated next to us. We started with some Octoberfest drafts and a side of calamari and long hots. Calamari was pleasantly fried nicely and not overdone. The marinara was sweet and so good to use as a dip. The several long hots were super spicy and came with slices of bread. Very fresh and well liked. We had decided to split a steak Stromboli. It was eight slices well crisped but could have had more "toppings" inside. However, with the bowl of marinara, it also was a big hit. My friend had another beer, and the conversation with the sisters was pleasant and engaging.. Service was friendly and attentive. $70 including tip for three beers, two appetizers, and a Stromboli. Oh yeah, we also got a free dessert (cannoli) for a Yelp check-in which was delicious. We split that, too, and were full. Also on a side note, our one new friend gave us their untouched half a pizza as they could not bring it to the concert. We stuck it in the car and I brought it home. There was barely anyone at the restaurant yet the server barely checked on us which was a shame because we knew right after we got the food that we wanted to leave. I decided to check out Santucci's before a show at The Met. I was at the Perferred paid parking lot for the show, and Santucci's was visible right from the lot. (The waitress also said they have a small lot in the back for customers.) A very, quick and easy walk across the street for anyone who is also looking for a place to dine prior to a show. Santucci's pizza (without a doubt) serves one of the best square pies Philadelphia has to offer. We called ahead to place a takeout order for a Large signature pie (17") with mushrooms. The staff taking the order was nice and polite and told us that the restaurant was cash only. The pizza was ready in about 20 minutes and we were wowed by it. The thin crust, the sweet and tangy sauce, the smooth cheese and the mushrooms were married perfectly in this slightly rule defying pizza. That flavorful sauce on top of the cheese instead of being under made a huge difference! We surely can't recommend this pie enough. Now, we understand Santucci's pizza might not be everyone's cup of tea ( or Hennessy?), but it sure was ours. And if you wanna try something a little different without it being outrageously out of the way, check 'em out. read more

This was our second trip there before a show at the Met. The first time we attempted to eat here we waited just about an hour till our food came and had to leave without eating. Also, it took a while to get a drink. Last night and a couple of years later, we decided to try it again , and with a reservation. We were seated quickly but waited at least 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive at the table. In the interim, I went to the ladies room where there were feces on the handle of the toilet and the wall and the door handle. How I survived that is the question! I will say the food was OK, but will not be returning. Ironically, I ended up having Santucci's for dinner two nights in a row. The first was delivery of a signature square pie paired with the Eagles game. The second was in the restaurant before a concert at the Met, when all other options actually failed. Things that stood out to me: -The restaurant is cash only, except at the bar where cards are accepted -The signature pie is a square pie, not a tomato pie. The cheese is delicious -Happy hour goes until 6pm -There's wine on tap, in addition to beer. -This is excellent pre-Met concert spot (as long as you don't take my idea and steal my seat) -Portions are large and prices are fair for the amount of food -A flatbread is enough for two non-starving adults to share. Aside from like the soup, most of the options are pretty shareable. -Delivery was through Grubhub and the food arrived way earlier than the app noted. Kudos. I'm impressed and happy with my back to back meals. Almost tempted for the trifecta. read more

I love Santucci's! I've only gotten take out but every time I've been very impressed. "The works" pizza is sooo good. We also were looking for a new cheesesteak spot in the neighborhood after jimmy g's closed down and we're very pleasantly surprised with the cheesesteak. I really enjoyed my visit to Santucci's prior to attending a show at The Met. We informed the server right away that we had only 50 minutes before we had to start walking to the show, and she made sure we got out in time. Our specialty cocktails were delicious and quickly served. Our pizza was REALLY good and our only regret is that we had to leave before finishing that last piece.
