Sapa House has been a fixture of the Downtown Dallas restaurant scene for decades! It's an easy to like Asian-Fusion establishment that serves a variety of cuisines. Vietnamese, Japanese, and Thai dishes can be all found on their menu, as can local fusion specialties! There's also a large and popular bar with a view of Ervay Street. I often get Pho, and I have to say their Beef Pho is really great. It has meatballs, filet, and brisket (this is Texas y'all). It's super tender and has a rich broth. They have a variety of sushi rolls, including most of those that are popular, and some surprising local variations (Latino Roll anyone?). They have some great noodle dishes, including Pad Thai. There's even a Bento Box option. Quite the variety! The establishment is located on the ground floor with a view of Downtown. It has an outdoor seating area for fair weather dining, and the interior has tables, bar areas, and booths. The service is efficient and polite which is always nice. Come discover this venerable establishment and get some good food and enjoy the nice atmosphere.

If you have 14 dollars to your name, hungry, and chopped asf...This is the place for you! Great pho for an amazing deal. I WILL be coming back

Pad Thai

We showed up around 2pm on a Thursday so it wasn't busy at all. We ordered the pad Thai. It was a good bowl of noodles but not authentic pad Thai. Thai Tea was good too. The server was polite and friendly. It'd be a good place for a casual lunch or dinner with friends.

YAY! Another place that serves Vietnamese foods!! The beef in the pho was actually really good. The meatball was kinda of stale and old. Thought it was a pretty good pho bowl. The appetizer we got, it was decent! Didn't feel entirely fresh but it didn't taste bad. The ponzu sauce is always so good. The service was very attentive and friendly. Would definitely come back. It was not too busy on Sunday, only a couple of people watching cowboys!

2nd try. Food is mehhh. The pho didn't have much flavor and the meat in it was super tough. My drink was good and strong. I had the patron margarita. The service hahahahahah what service?? They took my order and didn't come back until handing me my check. Ambiance was dirty the bathroom filthy and the sauce bottles at the tables were super sticky.

Pad Thai

This place is popular. I tried the shrimp pad Thai and is really not authentic in terms of flavor and ingredients. One of the worst I've had. Will not order it again.

Went for dinner with my brother and happened to catch their happy hour, so definitely made the visit even better. We got some steamed and fried dumplings as an appetizer and they tasted great and came with a sauce that had a nice little kick to it. For my entrée. I had the Thai Basil flat noodles while my brother had a traditional Pad Thai. Both were with chicken. The flat noodle dish was flavorful and filling. I got spice level medium since I hadn't been to this place before and definitely could use a bit more of a kick so I'd go higher next time. My brother's Pad Thai was also tasty, at least with the little bit he actually let me try, haha. I also had one of their happy hour drink specials (screwdriver) which was solid too. It should also be noted they were crazy fast. I think from time of ordering till food arrived was barely 15 minutes, if that.

This wasn't my first choice, but it was an unexpectedly delightful detour. The ambience is not too fancy, but the food is top tier. Our food was served quickly, and everything was delicious. I have never had dry ramen until today, and although it was my first time eating it, it won't be the last. I appreciate how simple this place is, but the food is elevated. Don't sleep on Sapa House, it's a culinary delight.

Ordered via door dash and had great results. Really enjoyed the beef pho! The shrimp tempura roll and chicken skewers were also very good!

Chicken karage and egg rolls were very soft and wet. Very rowdy environment. We left after our appetizers tasted nasty.

The food came out piping hot and super fast, within 5 minutes our table was full of dishes! We were a small party so we only tried some dishes: Shu Mai, Shrimp Har Gow (eh), Chicken Feet, Steamed BBQ Pork Buns, Baked BBQ Pork Buns, Soup Dumplings, Fried Shrimp Balls, and Tofu Pudding for dessert. The stars of the show were the siu mai, the Baked BBQ Pork Buns and the Steamed BBQ Pork Buns. The siu mai was packed with fillings and it was so good, might be the best one I've ever had. The Baked buns were good but the buns might be a little too heavy. However, the steamed buns were so airy, light, and fluffy. I've never seen a bun that fluffy, it was like touching a cloud. It was still good when we reheated it at home, too! My boyfriend also loved the chicken feet, it was packed with flavor and very juicy. On the other hand, the soup dumplings were okay they didn't have any soup in them. The shrimp har gow wrapper was really thick, making it not as good. The tofu pudding was delicious. It's silken tofu with sweet ginger syrup, usually served with chewy balls but they didn't have that here. It was served hot and it was my childhood so I had to get it :) It looked like a lot of food but the bill came out to be around $50+, which wasn't bad given that we had a lot of leftovers for the day. I would definitely come back here!

It felt like your standard Cantonese restaurant with mediocre food. Service: 3/5 - it was again good, but not great. Our waiter was very welcoming and friendly and gave us some great recommendations since it was our first time dining there. We tried the following dishes: Soup Dumplings (Xiao Long Bao), Gong Bao Pork, and Stir-Fried La Mian with Vegetables. My favorite dishes were the beef dish and the soup dumplings. I would definitely order those again. It was also really nice to see the chef hand-pull the noodles right behind our table, which added to the whole experience. Overall, both the food and service were excellent. The portions were generous and perfect for sharing. I'm definitely looking forward to coming back again.

This visit, we hosted family from East Texas who'd been here once before. Starting with delicious Xiao Long Bao soup dumplings and Bucks Spare Ribs, we moved on to Ants Climbing Trees (Ma Yi Shang Shu), a classic Sichuan dish of vermicelli cooked with minced pork, in fermented chili sauce, with garlic and green onions, Salt and Pepper Shrimp, crispy bite-size shrimp tossed with green onion, basil, garlic, and jalapeño, and Sichuan Green Beans, stir-fried with garlic, mushrooms, and minced pork. We opted for one order of white rice and one of fried rice with our entrées. The restaurant is almost always packed if you don't have a reservation, but the vibe is relaxed and casual without being loud. In fact, it's so popular, you may have to wait a bit even with a reservation, since they want you to enjoy your meal vs rushing you out to "turn the table."

But they got progressively colder. Last third of the basket was ice cold. The duck, was not hot. It also wasn't freshly made. It had been sitting out. It didn't have the crispy snap skin should have.
