Was pleasantly surprised by my experience at Sapa House. I've passed by this place many times but honestly was never intrigued to dine in until my brother recommended it to me! I ordered egg rolls, fish sauce chicken wings, and the beef pho. Service was pretty fast. The egg rolls were great! A little on the skinnier side in comparison to other Vietnamese places I've been to though. Also enjoyed the chicken wings, which were crispy and not overcooked. As a ranch fanatic, their ranch was delicious. Lastly, the pho was very solid! The brisket in particular was divine!! The broth was flavorful, and I didn't feel the neeed to adjust the seasoning. My brother ordered the large size, and I ordered the small. The large was noticeably bigger. My only gripe is the noodles were cooked a bit longer than to my liking, and many noodles were an uneven shape. Not sure if they broke during cooking. In December of 2025, I went to Dallas Cowboys game to experience enjoy in the festivities. I had a great time and left the game early to avoid traffic. I wanted to finish the game off in place that had different food affair than the stadium and came across Sapa House. We sat at the bar and order a large hot sake and a couple appetizers. I was in the mood for a variety of different flavors with fresh elements and they delivered. We ordered an order of spring rolls that had rice noodle, lettuce, cilantro, bean sprout, fried shallot wrap in rice paper served with peanut sauce and added shrimp to it. It was so crunchy and delicious, the lettuce, rice noodle and shallots gave a good crunch texture with shrimp for added protein. We also ordered crispy tofu with pork belly and jalapeño on top. The fatty pork was really tasty and complimented the crispy tofu. The staff was quick and friendly, they poured our beers and sake swiftly. We sat at the bar for a great view of the TV and the place had lots of different seating options. I'd come back to explore more of the menu and enjoy more their laidback vibes. read more

It is very busy during lunch but you are seated in less than 10 minutes. Your server may take a few minutes to take your order so patience is required. Whenever we travel, I always look for a pho spot to try. Our server wasn't the friendliest and seemed a bit gloomy. The menu had a great variety -- besides pho and other Vietnamese dishes, they also offered sushi and ramen. Even though it's more of an Asian fusion place, their pho was authentic enough. I ordered the large beef pho, which was a good portion and reasonably priced. The broth, however, lacked that deep beefy flavor I was hoping for -- definitely a letdown. I often get Pho, and I have to say their Beef Pho is really great. It has meatballs, filet, and brisket (this is Texas y'all). It's super tender and has a rich broth. They have a variety of sushi rolls, including most of those that are popular, and some surprising local variations (Latino Roll anyone?). They have some great noodle dishes, including Pad Thai. There's even a Bento Box option. Quite the variety! The establishment is located on the ground floor with a view of Downtown. It has an outdoor seating area for fair weather dining, and the interior has tables, bar areas, and booths. The service is efficient and polite which is always nice. Went for dinner with my brother and happened to catch their happy hour, so definitely made the visit even better. We got some steamed and fried dumplings as an appetizer and they tasted great and came with a sauce that had a nice little kick to it. For my entrée. I had the Thai Basil flat noodles while my brother had a traditional Pad Thai. Both were with chicken. The flat noodle dish was flavorful and filling. I got spice level medium since I hadn't been to this place before and definitely could use a bit more of a kick so I'd go higher next time. The happy hour menu here is awesome and that's what we came here for. It runs from 3pm to 7pm everyday except Monday and Tuesday, which extends until closing. I am surprised the place isn't more busy with such a good deal. For drinks, we ordered two Yogurt Soju ($7), although the well drinks and sake are only $2.50. The soju was easy to sip on with a good kick of alcohol. For food, we ordered a few rolls for the table. The Panko Crusted Salmon Roll ($7.95), Philly Roll ($7.95), and Spicy Tuna Roll ($5.95) were all yummy. I liked that they didn't overstuff the Philly with cream cheese, which gets overpowering sometimes. Honestly, the HH deal here is too good to pass up. I LOVE Sapa House! They have the best happy hour times in the area ($3.50 hot sake!)! The food is incredibly flavorful. They're located in The Wilson Building, a very old building that in the early 1900s was the tallest structure in Dallas. They have an outdoor seating area with a window to the inside. The only complaint about that is sometimes you have folks smoking cigars (or more fun things) and the smell can permeate into the restaurant. Super casual spot that has good sushi rolls. It's not your typical sushi restaurant so don't expect a bunch of raw goodies to choose from. It's in downtown, so parking can be an adventure (let the hunt for street parking commence), but we frequent this place whenever we want a pho fix close to downtown. The place has a nice ambiance, the waitstaff is friendly, and we've never had to really wait. While I can't speak to the quality of their sushi (and frankly, why would you get sushi at a Vietnamese restaurant), I think the small beef pho is a good value and more than plentiful. Ended up needing to catch something to eat that was close to the hotel... just had limited time. This was a short, but cold walk away. The venue it ok, nothing special to look at, they have a nice size bar, but it was not busy so I got seated right away. The menu was pretty eclectic: pho, Sushi, banh, fish, clay pot, etc.... I started out with an appetizer of the baby octopus. (See pic) it was pretty good, chewy like octopus is, but good flavor and really quite nice. I then got a roll of their volcano sushi. When it came out it was drowning in their volcano sauce. (I mean toss out the life preserver... sushi overboard!) The sushi had nothing in it... supposed to be crab and cream cheese and jalapeño but literally I couldn't taste anything but the sauce. It was like eating a ball of sticky rice that had been soaked in Volcano sauce. There was just nothing there. Service was spotty... sometimes she was there sometimes she wasn't.
