    Crispy Pork Belly
    Benz J.

We had a wonderful dim sum lunch today with excellent selections from every cart--fresh, hot, and perfectly steamed. The crispy pork belly was outstanding. Unfortunately, we were too busy enjoying the food to take photos. The new entrance and bar layout are beautifully designed, and the staff were warm, attentive, and professional. We look forward to returning.

THE BIG: Dim sum spot located in Grand Prarie! Quite big interior with push around carts. Plenty of parking in the lot outside. THE BLACK AND WHITE: I found it funny that this asian restaurant is located in the Asian Time Square Shopping Center. There's some good asian spots in the shopping center all jokes aside. I came here with the wife and a friend to get some dim sum after watching the Texas Rangers game the night before. We didn't want to travel to carrolton and was surprised there's some asian spots down here. Carts were pushed around which was a nice homage to the traditional way of serving dim sum. We got the usuals, har gow, shu mai, cheong fun, sesame balls, broccolini, tofu hua. All were alright flavors. I judge a place based on their cheong fun and this spot didn't do it justice. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Overall the cost for the dim sum that we ordered for three people was around $65. Not bad pricing but the flavors just didn't hit it for me.

My son chose this place for all of us to eat for lunch. They have large round tables with the classic Lazy Susan in the middle. Appetizers and dim sum comes around on carts and you can clearly make entire meals just from all of the different pieces. We chose a few pieces as an appetizer and then ordered three meals off of the menu for the five of us to share. Each meal came with a small bowl of white rice and was plenty for all of us. In fact, we had plenty to bring home as well. The service is great and took care of us. Making sure our drinks never emptied. Anything else that we needed was very quickly brought to us as well. A great experience and definitely a place that we will want to return back to.

We came here again on a Thursday morning at 11:15am. They still had dim sum carts! We were the only seated party for a while. It was nice. It took awhile for someone to greet us this time but it's probably cause they just opened. We enjoyed some dim sum dishes. The footballs were on point and my favorite this time around. Texture and taste are everything. Shiu Mai is a staple. The ones that didn't hit for me were the crispy shrimp balls (served with sauce), tofu shrimp, shrimp wrapped in white opaque served in a steamer, crispy shrimp version, and the ban cuon shrimp. Ordered a couple extra dishes such as sup mang cua and the MIL wanted some crab fried rice. It's a big dish! But delicious. Had some crunchy parts in the rice ($80). Nice for the special occasion early Mother's Day celebration. We just got what we wanted. The grand total for everything was a little bit under $200. ~$50pp.

Right now the restaurant is under construction so they have a lot going on. We were sat very quickly upon arrival but very close in proximity to others due to the construction. Still I was glad to see they had waiters with carts serving dim sum on a Sunday afternoon. Everything was delicious, I'll say dim sum can get pricey so if you're really hungry order something off the menu and get a full plate of food. We ordered combination noodles and the kids liked it. So did like 3 other tables after they saw us with noodles lol they have a great event venue space for weddings and special events. Check it out!

The staff was friendly and attentive. We chose items from the dim sum cart that the ladies brought to us. We got sticky rice, har gow, shumai, tripe, shrimp ball, Chinese broccoli, and shrimp roll. Everything was fresh and delicious! The place is a good size and was informed that use the other side for events like weddings.

I really want to give this establishment some high praise, but honestly, it was somewhat lackluster. We ordered a fair variety of dim sum dishes, and nothing really stood out. To be fair we came on a weekday, so it was pretty empty, with maybe 3 other tables taken around us. Dallas does have some top tier Korean foods, but Chinese needs some work. Everything was either too salty or bland

went in on a Tuesday around noon; it wasn't busy at all. I thought the table cloth was a fluffy cloth; until I realized it was probably 60 plastic table cloths laid on top of each other (probably for easy clean up) The best thing was the chili oil on the table-it was actually spicy! The dim sum was alright, I'm only comparing it to PHL/NY dim sum. I was excited for the chicken feet but it wasn't that great--Good, but I've had better. The shumai were big though. $6.50 for 4 big pieces. The tripe was good, I just wished it was cut smaller/thinner. 9 large size dishes for $64 Not something I would put on my must eat dim sum in DFW, but would go if it was the only place available.

I was in a wedding over the weekend and my friend insisted on taking the Bridal party to The Pearl. Thank God she did that. I had such a nice time. The service was pretty good and the atmosphere was upscale. The Pearl is located in GP. In a modern shopping mall strip called Asia Times Square. Our waitress brought out a 7 course meal. Starting with a flavorful soup. Our Waitress brought a large bowl out and poured it in to smaller bowls. I love the Asian hospitality. Next, we had Egg Rolls. They were large and crispy and were popular at our table. We also had Beef Broccoli, the Beef was tender and thin. We had rice but, it seemed watery? We had over sized Fried Shrimp. It was extra crispy with a Cheese filling. Sweet and Sour Pineapple Fish was served and that was my favorite! The Fried Fish was a good size and it was crispy with a sweet sauce. It was topped with Red and Green Peppers. We finished our meal with some Sweet Mango and Watermelon. It's very quiet in there despite being surrounded by large families. Restrooms are clean. Theres a Ballroom/lounge next store too. As you can see, they have a great Hong Kong Style menu. Great Asian Hospitality and a Ballroom next store. You can come here to eat or you can book your wedding party here either way, you will get a taste of Asia.

Was in the area about three weeks ago. Decided to stop by for some lunch before heading to a wedding reception at night on a Saturday. Located in the Asia Times Square in Grand Prairie. Shared parking lot with nearby businesses. To our surprise they were serving dim sum at 3:30pm. Usually dim sum is served during morning hours only. But that all worked out in our favor! Haha. It was a medium-large sized space with a bar too. Service was fast and friendly. The staff would be rolling the food carts around and asked showed us what are options were. Each dish come Sun about 2-4 pieces. The size portions were big and they were all delicious! I

Every time I visit The Pearl, the food gets better and better. The dim sum on the weekend is pretty decent and portions are pretty big. My favorites are the Xiu Mai and the shrimp rice noodle. The ha khảo is good but the wrapper always falls off the filling. I also love getting their thousand egg rice porridge. The dinner menu here is also pretty decent depending on what you order (I would stick to the less American dishes on the menu). Be aware though, the food here is kind of bland so you definitely need extra soy sauce. Service is average. The restaurant itself is clean and new looking. Good spot to try out in Grand Prairie.

The Pearl is usually my go-to place for dim sum on this side of town (middle DFW) but when I went on Saturday, it did not hit like it usually does. Service was good but the first round of food we got - everything was room temperature instead of hot. And the selections just didn't taste as good as they used to :(

I am not from the DFW area, but from what I've have heard, Arlington doesn't really have a dim sum scene. This restaurant was a popular choice online. Unfortunately, this dim sum at The Pearl is not good, and I would not recommend fulfilling your cravings here. On the plus side, the servers are very friendly and gave service with a smile. I ordered my favorite items, and honestly, I didn't like most of them. The only items that were just ok were the cha siu bao (steamed BBQ pork buns) and the siu mai. The steamed pork spare ribs were bland and dry. They tasted like they were just boiled in water with no flavor at all. The lo mai gai (sticky rice wrapped in lotus leaf) was so dense, and there was very little filling. The meat inside was dry. I expect a satisfying plump bite of shrimp when I eat har gow; their har gow does not deliver. The wrapping was thick, dry, and the filling was scarce. The flavor of the steamed beef tripe with ginger and scallion was decent, but the texture was too soft and mushy. The soy sauce for the shrimp cheung fun was too salty, though the rolls themselves had a good texture and the shrimp was good. Their bathrooms are not well maintained. They literally can't be bothered to put the paper towels or TP into the dispensers. They leave the paper on top of the dispensers or on the wet counter which is not sanitary.

Heard the pearl got a new chef? Has anyone tried it recently?

    No.

Are they open on Christmas day?

    Yep go for it.

What times do they serve dimsum on weekdays? Monday specifically

    10 am to 3 pm

Do they serve dimsum after 3? like dinner times?

    I don't think so .

Is Dim Sum available every day? I saw one review that said it was only available until 3 pm? I haven't had any decent Dim Sum since I left San Jose, CA.

they serve dim sum 1000-1500 on weekdays and 1100 to 1500 on weekends. if you dont see the carts going around serving dim sum (normally weekends only) you can order a la cart from the dim sum menu

As soon as I walked in, I had a feeling that this was going to be much better than I would expect for a strip mall restaurant. We ordered the pork pot stickers, lamb dry hotpot, and the karage ramen. The pot stickers were perfectly cooked, crispy on the bottom, good chew, and great flavor. The lamb dry hotpot was a kingly meal. The presentation was impressive and the exquisite variety of ingredients made this a meal to remember. The karage ramen was lackluster, I would wager their other ramen options are better. It served a wide variety of Asian dishes from Vietnamese to Japanese to Chinese to Thai, but I wager at its core it's Chinese. We started with the pork potstickers, and they were fantastic. It's hard to find places that cook the outside correctly with crisp on the bottom and chew on top, but Fun did it perfectly. My bf got the lamb dry hot pot, and it looked stellar. He got a lot of food for the money and really enjoyed it. I would recommend if you could handle spice. I tried the Chicken Karaage Ramen, and found it lacking. It tasted like eating pure grease, and though the Karaage was alright, it was weighed down heavily by the broth. The noodles were noticeably homemade, though. Overall, we would recommend coming here.
