I was going to this bakery for years , I had good experience with the owner before when I got my daughters sweet 16'th birthday cake but staff changed and the girls behind the counter are lazy and rood to customers and they over charged me . I've never experienced anything like what I experienced very unpleasant. Change ur staff otherwise you'll loose more customers . read more

My friend purchased this cheesecake with strawberries on top for my mothers birthday and it was absolutely delicious and delicious. The cheesecake was rich and creamy and the delectable strawberries on top was the icing on the cake. The cheesecake wasn't too sweet which I appreciated. An order was placed with the hopes of having the ionic Sponge Bob meme on a birthday cake that was suppose to cover the cake in its entirety. Instead we were given an index card size of the image on the cake. At the time of pick up we tired to get some clarification as to why we were receiving something that was far from the description that was given when the order was placed. Instead of being acknowledged we were disregarded by the employee. I contacted management he apologized and the cake was brought back with the hopes of this issue being rectified. Instead we receive the same cake with a larger image just plastered over the original. My concern is the fact that this was done and still given to a paying consumer with the satisfaction that this was a better option. If this cake is a representation of the work that is carried out at the bakery, I am highly disappointed. This is poor workmanship as well as lack of creativity. read more

If you ever end up in the Elmont area, Sapienza is the place to go for baked goods. The mini pastries are the best, and pretty cheap I might add. My family has been going to this place for over 40 years now. They've done a good job at accommodating for the modern needs, while also keeping up the authentic Italian Tradition. if you know a true red velvet, its made with cream cheese frosting. they are using buttercream. also it has chopped nuts. no nuts on theirs. when I questioned it I was told about food allergies. then asked are nutts in house. my reply was yes. so why are they not using ?? bottom line cost. cream cheese and nutts are expensive. I would have paid extra. it was not offered. I was disappointed. the counter lady was almost rude and really did not care about my needs and wants for the birthday cake. its not the great bakery it used to be from years ago. so sad.. read more
