This is a great hibachi restaurant if you're in the area. The service is excellent in the food is cooked well. Overall, a great experience. I would recommend if you're in the Fort Wayne area.

Always good choice for dinner. Was a busy Saturday night and we didn't have reservations. Was able to get right in at the bar. Food was delicious and came out so fast! Hibachi here is very good. A bit smoky inside but overall good atmosphere.

Had lunch today at Sapporo's with the wife. It was a late lunch so it was not busy at all. The service was excellent and so was the food! Overall experience was great and we will be back soon.

I dined by myself and was seated at a table per my request. My waitress was very sweet and made me feel very comfortable. I got 3 rolls and everything was very delicious. For a Tuesday night they were pretty busy.

Sapporo has had a tremendous following and is extremely busy restaurant on the North side. When we have sushi on the mind, it's hard to beat Asakusa. On Saturday night, I had sushi on the mind while the rest of the family was out of town. I headed to Asakusa, but the wait was an hour and they wouldn't let me sit at the bar. So..I made my way next door and Sapporo got me right in to sit at the sushi bar. It was a busy, happening place with a lot of fun in the air. I was served a cold beer and hot clear soup right away. The two sushi rolls came shortly after and hit the spot. The reason for the 4 stars is I think the prices are a wee bit high. In addition, there are so many customers, that I'm thinking service can be a little slow and tables/bar area isn't cleaned fast enough. Regardless, I was happy with my selections and would certainly return.

    Hibachi orange roughy dinner entree
    Kangni X.

Was looking for a hearty dinner. Went with my mom who doesn't eat much so we ordered a hibachi orange roughy dinner entree and an appetizer of agedashi tofu to share. This was plenty to share. Large bed of vegetables and a good sized fillet of fish. But as most hibachi foods, not a ton of flavor besides soy sauce/salt/chard bits. There was kind of a pool of oil/soy sauce at the bottom of the plate. Would recommend scooping up the steamed rice before it soaks up all that oil. The orange roughy was drier than I expected. Had the texture of a skate wing - long stringy strands. Overall very filling but would probably go for something healthier next time. Service 5/5 Portions large Flavor 3/5

As great as the food was, the absolute highlight of our evening was our waitress, Kate. She went exceptionally above and beyond to make sure our experience was nothing short of wonderful. Her attentive service, warm hospitality, and professionalism truly elevated the entire night for our group. It really is a must try if you are looking g for a dinning experience. The facility is small and parking out back can be a challenge. Making reservations is easy on their website. I would encourage this as it is nice to have and be able to relax. The team here is great. Addie greeted us and quickly got us to our table. She was friendly, all smiles and quick to make sure our water glasses were refilled. Chelsea was our waitress. She made us feel right at home and welcomed. She made sure to follow up regularly with us and was very friendly. Corey, one of the owners and chefs, came out to meet us. You could tell that he was genuinely glad we were there and wanted to make sure we were satisfied with the cook. The atmosphere is very quaint. The dining area is small but overly packed or loud. The white table coverings and dim lights were nice. There was soft jazz music overhead and an interesting collection of local art work on the wall. I was surprised that Chance didn't have much drink service outside of beer and wine. There is a bar predominantly places in the restaurant but no liquor items to serve. The wine list was moderately large and had a couple items that would appeal to dry red wine drinkers. One of the things I like about Chance is the selection of small plate shareables. You can make a meal out of a couple or accent an entree as an appetizer. We like to get several of these to sample. We started with the beer bread. The comes with two large slices of bread. The bread is served room temperature. This leads you to conclude, at first bite, that the bread is a bit dry and stale. The bread is thick and dense. It does has a drier taste but it isn't dry. There is a good beer flavoring present. The honey butter was fun. The butter chunk was thicker and hard. The honey was drizzled over the top with possibly a little cinnamon accent. You had to work a little to get the ratio and spread you want. The beer battered mushrooms are still good. The medium sized mushroom is covered in a thick and crispy batter. There is a slight beer taste in each large mushroom. The mild horseradish dipping sauce was a nice compliment. We also ordered the rib tips. This is a small dish that is packed with lots of flavor. The crispy garlic chips were unique and tasty. The garlic is overpowering and crisp tastes slightly burnt. The honey BBQ sauce is delicious - mop it off the plate delicious! The sauce is thick and sweet. It has a slightly strong BBQ spice flavor. The jalapeño rings are well cooked and soaked up the BBQ glaze nicely. While tasty the jalapeño rings were slightly spicy to taste. We did order the ricotta gnocchi again. It was delicious the first time we ordered it. It was outstanding again. The gnocchi is freshly made and soft but slightly firm to cut. The ricotta gives the dish a slight cheese flavor. The tomato based sauce is smooth and moderately thick. The sightly sweet Italian seasoned sauce was a perfect covering for the gnocchi!

Tonights experience was not quite what we've come to expect. We were greeted and warmly welcomed by the hostess. Seated promptly. Love the modern decor and atmosphere, especially with its' open kitchen! Our server was very friendly. Took about 20 minutes to get the beverages we ordered, but an apology was offered, and everything was delivered to our table promptly thereafter, and with a genuine smile. She was actually EXCELLENT, and acted as though it was a pleasure to serve us! French Onion Soup is one of the best in this area. Broth is complex and delicious. Authentic! So good, forgot to take a pic until it was nearly gone! Entrees came w/choice of salad. We both chose the never-disappointing house chopped salad. Hubby got the NY Strip, perfectly grilled, accompanied by fabulous herb-roasted baby potatoes (highly recommend!) and fresh green beans. I chose the hangar steak with herb-cheesy mashed potato and asparagus sides. Steak was exactly as ordered! Asparagus was surprisingly very thin, dry, and not of the usual CHOPS quality we've come to expect. Happened to be hubby's BD, and he was treated to a moist, chocolaty brownie sundae (candle and all!). Overall a great evening, just a couple of glitches that made us take away 1/2 star...BUT! We definitely will be back to this favorite dining location!

The food remains great, the service is good, the problem is there is no pride in keeping the public areas clean. A few months ago it was the amount in dust on the bar shelves. Several times the entry door and floor was obviously not cleaned for more than a day. Friday I booked a business lunch and at noon, the floors hadn't been cleaned from the previous business day. The men's room was dirty. It makes me wonder how clean the kitchen is , if there is no pride taken in the presentation of the other areas of the restaurant. I'm okay with the exception, but now it is common not to expect a clean environment at Chops. Outside of an occasional carryout, my dine-in is most likely done.
