Went for bfast and service is very disorganized - one person takes the drink order, another person that is supposed to take the food order could not be located and after about 15 minutes, I had to ask several times if I could order food. Went to use the restroom mid meal and when came back a few minutes later - the busboy was carrying away my food and nearly full coffee. (this was on a very slow morning with plenty of open tables and just a few customers on the patio). They offered to make a new coffee and presented me with a full check.. The ambiance, the sheer style of the spot really hits you. Its casual and chill, yet interesting to the eye. The setup draws attention to the dessert display, which we will get to in a minute. Our waiter, Carlos, was very attentive and helpful as we ordered. I had the Creekstone Farms 8 oz Burger while my companion had the Tuscan Baked Goat Cheese salad. The burger blew me away. I was not expecting to have such a flavorful and inventive burger here, but I was wrong and if you are a burger aficionado, you will be very happy here. The flavors from the coleslaw, caramelized onion jam and Gruyere mix incredibly well. The Goat cheese salad was very well put together, with loads of very fresh ingredients and just the right amount of cheese. I felt the portions were perfect, I was satisfied, neither overly full nor wanting more. Note: Saquella is very able to accommodate a gluten free diet. We saved room for dessert. Unable to decide between the chocolate mousse or tiramisu, we got both. I should add, everything looked amazing in the dessert display and I want to go back to try them all. I was told they don't take reservations even though I knew they did, as I had made one other holidays. The morning of Father's day I called again & was told their reservations were full. I then arrived to a 40 minute wait & was very rudely treated by the host Paul. He told me they don't take reservations because "rich millionaires in Boca don't show up for their reservations!" He was rude to many other customers & no one could believe his rant. We eventually spoke to other staff who told us he is always like that & management is never there. For the burger, the meat itself was okay. It wasn't bad, it's just that I've had better burgers. However, the bread that was used for the bun was really good. It had a slight sweet aftertaste, which provided an interesting contrast to the meat in the burger. The staff was very nice and patient, and the overall aesthetic of the cafe was very cute. Add another layer of waiting for a waitress to take our order by an additional 25 minutes and another 15-20 minutes to get beverages and make an order and you're into a 3-4 hour service here between waiting for a table, to ordering and leaving. the service was TERRRRRRRRIBLE. drinks were not refilled, things did not come out timely and people with allergies were not taken care of via management, it was brushed off and really rude to be honest in context. The food itself is average. I would recommend waiting for patio or outside and a note to the staff, upgrade the staff with more people, better manners, and standard skills to elevate what customer service is. My husband and I have been faithful patrons of Sequella for several years because of there amazing breakfast/brunch. We went here today with two other couples and I'm still in shock from our experience!!!! We requested outside seating for covid-19 reasons which we were seated very quickly by the manager who wore his mask around his chin while his nose and mouth were showing. It took the waiter 20 to get coffee and we knew we were in for a long breakfast. We arrived at 11:25am and didn't actually eat until 1:15pm. Four of us received our meals over a hour and a half later, but my husband and friend never got their food. My husband ordered a piece of cake, I cannot wrap my brain around this. Halfway through the meal my girlfriend asked the restaurant manager to put on his mask because he kept walking back and forth through the courtyard where we re seated. He made a nasty face and put it back to his chin just pass our table. When the 2 men never got their breakfast we decided to leave. We walked to the front to pay our bill for a very upsetting breakfast and the manager started screaming at us and told my girlfriend to go the (F$&-+) home. Are you kidding me?????? I said you are the manager you have to wear a mask with signs everywhere telling you to wear your mask. This man needs to be fired!! You don't have a manager that doesn't wear a mask at the restaurant representing your restaurant!!! This was actually the second time I have been to Saquella Cafe. The person who brought us here both times was a Boca Raton local who loves the place. I loved it the first time and could not wait to have it again. I will admit it was better the first time. You know how that goes with rotating cooks in the kitchen. Some are better than others. I really want to give this place a better rating. The food is amazing as is the decor and ambiance. Busy, comfortable dining indoors and out. But, like so many other reviews, the service is terrible! No organization or ownership of tables. The initial greeting is well after you're seated - unacceptable timing. It's unfortunate that a restaurant can't get a better rating due to service. I believe the wait staff has too many responsibilities and there's no back kitchen staff to do tasks. Our waiter was warming scones for other tables and handling bussing - whilst taking an order!
