5 very solid stars... Saraghina is in my top 10 pizza list in NYC, and therefore the entire U.S. (I know, I know... my top 10 list has 20 different restaurants in it- lots of ties, man). In any case, all three varieties I sampled were fantastic. Perfect in every way. But what really makes this experience stand out is their excellent outside area, tasty cocktails, and equally delish pasta. In fact, I'd say this is one of the few pizza spots where the pasta might be just as good as the main attraction. Saraghina is worth a trip, even if you're not in the area... Delicious and affordable brunch! My friend and I popped over for brunch. We wanted to go to a place that didn't have too long of a line on president's day. We didn't have to wait long at all. I got the omelette of the day which had truffle and spinach. My friend got the Norwegese which she said was delicious. Overall great meal! Many delicious things here. The eggplant parm was sublime. Pizza has great crust, overall tasty, though I wish the sauce had more flavor. Still the best pizza in the neighborhood..Sergio's has more traditional flavor and size, but Saraghina had better ingredients I think, and definitely a more elegant setting. They had dandelion greens, unusual, a bit chewy, good and surely healthy. Smaller pizza for the price, though. Incredible local spot for weekend brunch with little to no line. Had a walk-in on a sunny Sunday and we were able to sit down without much of a wait. We ordered drinks, salad, and gluten free pizzas. We were recommended to go to Saraghina by a few people and they were right, it's great! We sat in the courtyard which had a earthy, warm vibe. There are a lot of tabes but they are nicely spread apart so you're not on top of one another. The service was great and the waiter was very attentive. The food really makes it a homerun. We had the pork Milanese and the cacio e Pepe at the waiters suggestion. The pork was paired with these beans and salad mix on top that was fresh and vinegary and made the dish amazing and lightened up the pork. The pasta was cooked perfectly and was a great pair with the pork. I don't think I would just get the pasta alone, I probably wouldn't be satisfied with just that. Popped in for a quick dinner for my wife and I. We ordered three appetizers. The asparagus came out on a bed of mayonnaise (we think) which neither of us are a fan of and had egg salad on top which again neither of us are a fan of. We ordered the barratta cheese which was interesting but can't say it was a taste either of us loved. The tuna was the best appetizer hands down. My friend lives in the area and has been many times so I was excited to try this place. We waited for about 5-10 minutes at the bar before we were seated in the back patio. I was glad we sat outside since the air conditioning was way too cold for when we were inside. We both ordered the mezcal margaritas, they were really good and refreshing. We ordered the burrata, Truffle Cacio e pepe and the ricotta ravioli. I was not very impressed with the burrata which sat on top of rhubarb and pistachio but I loved the bread that came with it. They have a bakery and bake the breads in house. The truffle cacio e pepe pasta was delicious and very filling. I tried my friend's ravioli and I thought it was fine but nothing special. Ordered delivery which came very fast and the pizza was still warm! We tried the brussel sprouts which were DELICIOUS. However they weren't crispy. We also had three pizzas, which were delicious. One was a white pizza, another had anchovies and another had prosciutto. All three were spectacular. Saraghina has been on my list since I moved to Brooklyn about 5 years ago. I have absolutely no excuse, but finally I made it. Everything I heard was true, it was excellent. I went with a party of 5 which led to a 90 minute wait on a Saturday night. However, the bar next door or Lunatico are great spots to wait and get a great cocktail to make the wait feel short. Once seated we had a great server who shared with us as first time guests with excellent recommendations. I was so pleased with my truffle cacio e Pepe & all the sides were amazing. I think the cauliflower was my favorite, though it was tough to choose. They have an extensive drink and wine menu as well. I will say they are known for their pizza - but wow the pasta and sides were excellent. Sauces, flavor and unique menu items make me want to return here ASAP! read more

every time I visit new york, I visit Saraghina!! The brunch was really yummy, especially the cherry ricotta pancakes. Loooove their dinner - I always get the brussel sprouts & whipped ricotta with their fresh focaccia bread; I could eat this for my whole meal. Have also tried their cacio e pepe - perfectly creamy, but not too heavy & tastes so good. Also can't go wrong with any of their pizzas! Service has always been great & quick. As far as the new hipster pizza joints opening , this one was one of the better ones I've tried. The only problem I had was getting myself out of the very uncomfortable chair when we were done. - not made for seniors.- like over 65. Not comfortable at all. I guess they don't want you to sit too long. Fava bean humus with a green that tasted like broccoli rabe. Whatever it was , it was delicious. Incredible crunchy bread that I could make a meal out of. The pizza which was mushroom and sorry I forget which meat (written like a true senior) was so worth sitting in an uncomfortable chair. The crust was the best part and I usually don't say that. Let me start off by saying the ambience, service, and experience was 10/10!! The staff is so friendly, they offer professional service, and it's a super cute spot, aesthetically. The food was sort of a let down. The menu is beautifully crafted but the dishes were mediocre. The best thing was the special they were running for the evening (almost an eggplant parm type of thing -- sooooo delicious) and the chocolate mousse for dessert. The pizza was just okay: the menu said the mushrooms would be maitake (which is why i ordered it) but they were baby Bella mushrooms. Very different. The truffle oil dominated the flavor palette which was just too overpowering for what I expect in a truffle pizza. The truffle fries were fine -- same thing about the truffle oil. And the fried calamari was just fine as well. Everything was just a bit overly oily. I see myself coming back for the mousse and the special if they have it again. otherwise it was not really worth it. I wanted to love this place because it's an adorable spot with great staff, but the food wasn't all that. I'll try again soon in hopes that maybe i just ordered the wrong things. read more

It's always nice when a restaurant is not afraid to properly season food. The drinks are powerful enough to feel and enjoy. The staff is always personable and pleasant.
