Almost always free samples. Easy order and pickup process.

Sarku Japan at Chicago Ridge is one of the best options in the food court and their Chicken Teriyaki blows away the other Asian competition in the food court of Panda Express and Tokyo Express. Sarku makes everything fresh and you can tell the difference over the other places with cafeteria style bins over steam tables sitting for minutes or even hours. Sarku does cook chicken in large batches of 10 to 20 orders at a time but each batch only takes 10 to 15 minutes to fulfill the customers orders before it's all gone. All Sarku locations operate this way by corporate SOP from the headquarters in Canada. The Chicken Teriyaki is the go-to item here. This location does not currently offer sushi like the locations at Orland or Yorktown but I've always been questionable of low priced food court sushi anyway. You can get beef or shrimp teriyaki but they often heat it too high and too long and both suffer. You can't treat the beef or shrimp as if they were chicken. You can usually find samples being given out here to compare to the samples of orange or mandarin chicken being offered by the other two Asian spots. The average entree meal here is about $5 to $6 not including drinks. They are about even with the other Asian places but at Sarku the portion size is greater and you'll likely have some leftovers to take home along with the six pack of Cinnabon's you've likely already purchased! Drinks are pricy here but that seems to be the average at most food service outlets anymore. I don't agree paying $2.50 for something that cost them just $.20 cents including the cost of the cup, ice production, bulk soda syrup, lid, and a straw. Come on people. I just bring a water bottle from home. The Chicago Ridge food court has simple but nice seating. There is also a carousel for the kids or yourself! Restrooms are far to the right from Sarku at the mall entrance to the food court.

This is one of the best bang for your buck deals in FW, always tasty and fast. I get Sarku for lunch at least once a week

My server, India, was very sweet, attentive, and informative! I truly appreciated her service and hospitality. Now let's get to my favorite part -- THE FOOD!!! I started with the fried chicken bao bun 10000/10. Very crispy, the flavors from everything meshed well and were just so delicious! This was my first time trying a bao bun and it was a great first impression!!! For my meal, I had the crispy chicken ramen -- first time for this as well -- and babyyyyyy, I may have found a new love!!! Everything about the bowl was amazing. The chicken was fried so good that even in the broth it still had crunch, and there were enough noodles for two servings if you ask me, esp since I had leftovers!! The corn and cabbage were also a good touch and I added egg! Lovedddddd this bowl. Perfect amount of spice and flavor!! Will be returning!!!! I also tried the lychee mango tea... bombbbbbb!!!! So fire okay! If you're ever in the area and want some good ramen, def give them a try!

We chose the restaurant side and it has nice decor. They also have a lot with ample parking. Staff is warm and friendly. I do not remember the name of our waitress; however, she wore a traditional Japanese kimono and was very pleasant. I ordered a frozen pina colada and hubby ordered the frozen strawberry daiquiri. We started with potstickers. For our entrees, we ordered jumbo shrimp fried rice, shrimp with lobster sauce and shrimp pad see eiw. We enjoyed everything we ordered. There were quite a few patrons in the hibachi section which is where we plan on trying next time we stop in. Definitely a neighborhood staple and highly recommend if you're in the area.

We have dined-in, used carry out, and even catered for Christmas parties. We loved this place, until my most recent experience. On Tuesday, June 23, I wanted sushi and panang curry for my birthday dinner. It's a 30 minute drive from my house so 1 hour round trip to get carry out. I love their food so I was willing to make the trip - I ordered $160+ worth of food for a family of 5. Pick up was no problem. However, the overall quality of the food was TERRIBLE - super bland with all of the sushi rolls and even my fave roll from there, Godzilla was just AWFUL - didn't taste anything like it normally does. Three-fourths of the order was sushi so that was super disappointing. My daughters' chow mein didn't have any noodles - it was just straight vegetables. She wouldn't eat it bc she wanted the noodles. The panang curry was the only thing that tasted good, but that was only a small part of the order. I was able to speak to the manager (Peg) on the phone a couple days later and explained to her my experience and she basically acted like I was lying, making the whole thing up. That I was supposed to save the food we didn't eat in a cooler and bring it back to the restaurant that day to get some form of refund. That was the policy. Not only that, she also said their recipe has not changed nor had anyone else complain about the food that day. I explained that we already threw out the food so that wouldn't be feasible and she basically said then there was nothing she could do and that she had to follow this policy. I'm sorry but I'm not driving an hour to return the bad food that a restaurant served me - 1. How is that sanitary? 2. Why are you calling a loyal long time customer basically a liar? 3. What kind of customer service doesn't offer anything to a customer that had a bad experience at your restaurant? She didn't seem to care when I told her that MY FAMILY AND I WILL NEVER COME BACK! I couldn't believe that's how a manager would treat a customer especially one that had been coming back for many years and recommends it to others. NEVER AGAIN! BOTTOM LINE: RUN, this place has definitely gone downhill and their customer service is the worse I've ever seen. The only way to save this place is fire that manager, fix the quality of your food, and treat your customers better
