One of our favorite go-to restaurants, their loaded tots & fries are amazing! We've eaten at several other "Nashville Hot" restaurants, and none have come remotely close to Sassy Bird. For those mentioning the long wait times, sometimes that is indeed the case but only because they have lots of orders ahead of yours in the queue! We typically order for pickup through their website, and always find the estimated completion time on the checkout page (before you click submit, so that you can choose not to proceed if you're in a hurry) to be fairly accurate. read more

Seriously worst customer service ever! Placed an order online, asked the employee if it was faster he said yes. gave an estimated time, was first in line, asked multiple times to different employees if we can get our order soon and they all said the order was going to be ready around that time , they could of just canceled the ordered and place for us but they didn't, they let us wait outside for exactly 2 hours from 11:20AM to 1:20PM its ridiculous. I don't understand how they're online system works but this was just the worst experience ever, no sense of urgency or try to help the customers ! Someone needs to step it up and teach their employees around good customer service. Good food...good flavors....good portions. Was there on Sunday...so they had the breakfast sandwich option available with egg...and toast instead of the bun. The toast was nicely flavored (not sure if it was butter/garlic cuz I was staring at the chicken) The "hot" chicken wasn't as hot as I was expecting and it was a bit dry as someone here mentioned, but I'm not a fan of chicken breast in general (not even the Howlin Ray's chicken breast). I'm hoping for these spots to do a chicken thigh sandwich, but I can only dream at this point. At Howlin Ray's, "hot" was sooooo hot that it affected us the entire night after. According to the owners answer on Yelp instead of a phone number you can email or message on social media.....all I wanted was a breakfast wrap (it's Sunday) for me and chicken tenders for my child. Online you can't order unless it's $31 even though they charge a $5 every fee . I even upped my side add on to full sides etc even though we'd have leftovers. Okay I'll use their designated delivery service..... no wrap available even though it's Sunday. I emailed the owner and got a response back @2 hours later that was off no help as I was told to order on their site I couldn't order on their site as my order wasn't $31 even though total was $34 and 9hrs later I haven't received a response from the social media either. I guess they don't want to serve small families or individuals? I'm not ordering double portions that are going to waste! At 1pm I finally gave up and ordered from someone else. Owner needs to up their customer service as they are loosing customers. Ordering food shouldn't be this difficult. read more

I will never recommend Sassy Bird to anyone. In fact I will be sure to tell everyone about the horrible treatment I received there today. I placed an order online and when I got the confirmation it said that it would be ready at 5:41 PM. I understand that this is an estimate and I was planning on being there early in case the order was done early. There is no phone number listed anywhere so when I got a text that my order was ready an hour early I had no way to call the store so I had to drive all the way there from Rosamond. Once I got there I spoke with someone who said she was a manager and told her the situation and asked if I could have a new order made for me or my money refunded. She then started to blame me for the fact that I was not there on time because the order was ready early and the times given are just an approximation. She gave me an attitude and was a complete smart ass and told me that they could remake my order but it would be another hour before it was ready. They were not willing to work with me in anyway to make sure that I was satisfied with my visit there. So I left with no food and asked for a refund. An hour later the refund still is not in my bank account so I guess they plan on stealing my money too. They just lost a very good customer. read more

Anyone that says why would we complain because it's more chicken is a starving, food addict just wanting overload of food and not just eat good food,... they probably go to McDonald's to get the cheap prices too,... but anyways The buns arent built to hold that chicken!,... y'all need a balance of items in the sandwich, and I had to cut my sandwich in half just to to able to not make a huge mess trying to take a bite of everything in this sandwich , it can be cut in half and be great, sometimes less IS better!,... the flavor is good, the FRIES need to be homemade, they taste just like jack in the box, y'all can't be slacking on the fries and tots, a great restaurant is taking pride in everything you make just not the breading of the chicken, which seems like that's where there passion stopped is the flavor of the breading. Start changing your tots and fries into homemade wonderlands, because IF that's the case , I know IN & out makes them right then and there ...fresh! AWESOME giant fried chicken breast sandwich and fries. I mean the chicken is huge and sticks out from the bun... the fries are EXCELLENT. Delivery was super fast! If you LOVE a juicy messy sandwich with HOT chicken (I mean temperature AND/OR spice level), plenty of sauce AND cole slaw..THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU! Delicious chicken, there are different levels of spicy if you like hot food sassy af is a really good choice definitely packs a punch and a kick. The fries and tots are good with the choice of loaded with even more chicken and ingredients. This is my favorite chicken because of taste I also like the fact that they are very generous with their portion, when you hold that sando in your hand you can definitely feel the abundance. If you save it for later and decide to heat it up it still tastes good, I would definitely recommend this restaurant to all of my friends and family. Hands down the BEST chicken!!!! We have had the sandwich, wings, tenders, fries and the loaded fries.. everything is just so fresh! You can choose your own spice level, which I absolutely love, since everyone in my family has a different palate. The portions are HUGE!! And when they are feeling frisky they give out free stuff to their customers.. we placed an order about a week ago and got free wings! I had high hopes for this place being that my boyfriend and I love Nashville chicken sandwiches, and I can now say after trying Sassy Bird for the first time tonight that I am disappointed and not impressed. This is the first Nashville hot chicken place to open in Lancaster and as I am very happy with their success and clientele they have got since opening, also being from Lancaster, I personally will not be returning. I was not impressed by the Sandos or the loaded fries. My chicken was hard and rubbery, and my fries were soggy and had very little flavor. It was a complete copy of Howlin Rays and Sassy Bird absolutely does not compare to Howlin Rays in China town what so ever! If you want an incredible HOT Nashville chicken sandwich and amazing loaded fries, go to Howlin Rays it's SO much more worth it for the same price and BETTER quality food. read more

Finally got a chance to try this place out. Building is too small unless you have a carry-out only business. Definitely a minus. Service was good and the food came out very quickly. Tried the Chicken sandwich (mild) and fries. My boyfriend had the sandwich and tator tots. The chicken has a good amount of spice and was flavorful. Unfortunately the meat was dry and honestly way too big. I appreciate the generosity of the portions but it was hard to eat the sandwich. The chicken breast was so big you couldn't eat that along with the bun, cole slaw and pickles. I would suggest lowering the price and cutting the size down or offering a jr. sandwich that is easier to eat. Fries and tots were really good. Lots of seasoning and were crispy. Sauce was good and the cole slaw had a good flavor. Menu is very limited. Would like to see cole slaw as a side item and maybe a chicken salad for those who want to eat a little healthier. Overall it was good. Definitely could have split one order since neither ate more than half of our combos. I will go back to try the loaded fries, they look amazing. read more

Fantastic food, great flavor and fun atmosphere. Their menu is simple but seems like there are so many options to choose. I personally like the Nashville hot with extra coleslaw, really yummy, with a side of tots. The best tots out there. I really dont get where people think they have no flavor. The owner(I believe) was out greeting people and asking how things were. The table behind us didn't handle the spice of their sandwhich too well and he was very kind and replaced the sandwiches for them. Very nice to see. Definitely have to say It wasn't what I thought it would be. The actual restaurant itself and the display of the entrées being made is super entertaining. But the overall lack of salt in everything I ate was very disappointing. I feel that they would definitely benefit from brining the chicken. My chicken sandwich was very dry so much so It was hard to appreciate the actual flavoring because I had the incessant urge to douse every bite and ranch. I got the hot which had a nice kick to it. I couldn't imagine that the sassy a F would be too unbearable. Overall I totally get it; It's a new establishment they're still working out the kinks.
