Sassy princess spa hosted my daughter's birthday party and it was absolutely amazing! I don't know how I'll ever top that party! We had 5 girls and 2 party hostesses. The girls ranged from 4-6 and I think that was the perfect age to appreciate what a treat it was. The party hostesses, Olivia and Keylin, were so sweet and patient with the girls and kept the party moving with activities. All the moms kept commenting how cute the concept and decor was. A cute little spot for little girls to enjoy the glitzy and glamorous part of womanhood. Wow! I'm absolutely amazed at the quality of service provided by the ladies here. From the moment I first inquired about a party for my daughter, to the moment her birthday celebration ended I was blown away by how attentive and caring the employees here are. My daughter isn't new to salon or spa services. One of the birthday gifts she asked for was to get to go to a Spa. It was great to find this place through LivingSocial! The regular prices are great! After arriving and signing in, she was given a robe and shown to the lounge. She sat back with a magazine (for kids) while soaking her feet prior to her pedicure and then watched a movie while receiving her manicure. She saw that they offer Chocolate Facials and hair styling and is already asking to go back. I think I have a new reward for good grades! read more

Overall my daughter had a great time and the place is very pretty and the young lady was very sweet. The prices do not match the product produced. For a mani and pedi to be over $35 I felt the job should have looked more professional. I paid $25 for two hair bows. I think they should adjust prices accordingly. I paid the price because my daughter is only three and doesn't know better. I would suggest using warm water to soak hands and toes and not cold water. And also replace nail polish and train the girls better in polishing. read more

My wife contacted Sassy Princess Spa (mobile party) to host our daughter's 9th birthday party. We did the mobile party because we live in Washington D.C., and they came to our home (Zee, Maria, and Gabriella) as we hosted 17 girls for the full spa treatment. We did the "We Like to Spa-Tay" package. Did I mention this was a drop off party?!!? After 15 minutes, I could tell we were in good hands. They brought spa chairs, tables, pedicure basins, spa robes, and all the materials for a craft. They even brought magazines for them to read as if you were at the spa. They operated like a well oiled machine that Henry Ford himself would have been proud of (If you don't know, Google it) I wanted to post photographs so bad, however due to the age of the children and the internet, that was a no go. So you will just have to take my word for it for it that cuteness overload is an understatement. After the guests left and we put our kids to bed, we reviewed the photographs throughout the event with memories we will enjoy for a lifetime. Great Job read more

My 4 year old daughter had a great experience, her favorite part were the strawberries on the silver platter! This salon really makes your little one feel like a princess! The staff were very professional and kind. The only suggestion I had was to update some of their books/ magazines. They gave my daughter an extremely heavy princess book to look at that was old. read more

First time and was very happy with it all. My daughter got the maní/pedí. Both techs that took care of her were kind and even had small appropriate convos. Although it was after closing time my daughter wasn't rushed out. Very cute spot and very nicely decorated. This is a spa for children and we're lucky to have one nearby. I have been a SATISFIED customer at Sassy Princess Spa since they opened their doors in 2012! I love everything about them! They're ALWAYS professional and they treat ALL little girls like Princess's (which is EXTREMELY crucial for young girls growing up in today's society). We're always greeted with warm smiles ans the upmost respect! The smell of bubble gum gets me everytime (it really brings out the kid in me!). We visited for the 2nd this past Saturday and our experience was great! We arrived 30 minutes before our appointment time and they took us anyway. They have renovated the space and installed a new custom pedicure bench and new floors. We visited over a year ago and the space looks a lot different. The pedicure bench isn't like a regular spa, which makes it really cute because its designed just for little girls. The general manager was very talkative and sweet. She engaged in conversation with all the parents as well as the little girls. The space is fairly small, so I wouldn't suggest bringing the entire family. Did notice there were 4 adults for 1 child and seating is limited. If you're looking for a real nail salon this isn't the place to go. Its for spa experiences for young girls. We've visited the other kids spa in Potomac Mills before and that was a hot mess!!! It did start to get busy as we were leaving and I now see why they suggest having an appointment. The space isn't big enough to accept large groups, although I did hear there is a private spa upstairs for birthday parties (they didn't have that last year). Overall its nice to see a small business grow. I truly believe in supporting small businesses and love doing so. read more

Very cute place. Girls very professional even as youth. Only thing is mostly every single bottle of polish was empty. When it gets thick its old. Sally Hansen "Thick as nails" is not a good choice . My neice had a nice time but after 1 day all ten fingers the polish just peeled right off. read more

This place is soo adorable! My sister in law bought a groupon for her niece and my daughter to get a pedicure and manicure. The spa is decorated very girly. The girls came in and the workers put them in pink robes and slippers. As they got their nails done a kids movie was on so they could watch. Then they got their feet gently scrubed and nails painted. They were treated like princesses. The only thing that sucks is its located in Woodbridge and I live in falls church so I would only go once in awhile. I hope they open one close by. read more

I really hate to write a negative review about such a cute concept. But, I must.... So here we go.... So we arrive about 10 minutes prior to our schedule appointment time, when we arrive we notice the lobby is full, but we try not to complain because our princess are really enjoying the whole concept, which I must admit at first glance is really cute. Okay here's were it gets interesting our appointment was scheduled for 3pm, and there are 3 set of two girls in front of us, and only two spa assistants. So I'll do the math 6 girls and 2 workers who were moving extremely slow. Now it gets better at 3pm another set of girls arrive, now the lobby is full, no seats and 8 little girls deep, still only 2 workers. At this point my two princess are soaking their feet in luke cold water, yes you heard me luke Cold! They continued to say the water is cold, well what do you expect they have been soaking their feet for about 20 minutes, no recirculating water just their foot in a sink. I pull my princess foot out of the water, and could not help but notice both of my princess toes look like raisins. Finally 1.5 hours later my princess gets her nail painted. The process was extremely rushed nails wet, and set out of the small Mani room. Only one coat of polish, and a thick coating of scrub which was barely wiped away properly. Worst spa experience ever! I could have saved a trip and went to a local nail salon, or I could have done a better job myself. My advice, more staff is needed, a grown up would help as it seems the place is being ran by a bunch of teenage girls. Again, cute concept weak communication, lack of guidance, more space for kids and adults at one point a few customers had to sit on the massage beds. Not once did one of the staff members apologize for the inconvenience. Never again! read more

I took my daughters and niece tonight- we had a Living Social voucher. The spa was very clean and cute. Everyone was very friendly, my girls loved talking to the teenage girls painting their nails. The girls really took a lot of time with them, and put a lot of effort into their nails. We were really happy with our experience and will be back! read more

My daughter is not new to spa services. She has enjoyed massages, pedicures, facials, etc... since a baby. For her 6th birthday, she asked to go the Spa so I was really happy to find this place on LivingSocial. My little one had a great time! She enjoyed the robe and private lounge, pedicure, manicure and make up application. She bragged to everyone at Chuck E Cheese and the theater about how "relaxed" she felt after her services. I purchased a Groupon for Christmas gifts to take my daughters for their own "spa day" Cute, all fluff and puff but what a fantastic day they had, I even ended up adding on makeup and hair styling to their manis and pedis. The place could have been cleaner, the floor was dirty as was the walls in a few places... Cute decor and Fantastic idea, They felt like princesses and we will go back for sure, the staff were young teenage girls, so girls loved that!! and they both were kind and patient so I was very pleased!! We surprised my 6 year-old with a trip to Sassy Princess Spa for her birthday. We made an appointment for a Sunday afternoon. When we arrived, there was a small group there, presumably for a birthday party, and we were the only other customers. My daughter was given a robe and taken back right away. She really enjoyed getting her fingernails and toenails painted and had fun getting sparkles on them. There are a few things that would have made the experience a little more enjoyable, though. First, even though there were few customers, it felt very rushed. The lady that did my daughter's nails was very polite, but seemed to be in a big hurry, rushing her from one thing to the next. Second, for a kid-focused business, some of the decor choices just didn't make sense. There was an adult-sized "bar" where they painted fingernails and my daughter had to be lifted on to the chair to reach the counter. I imagine it gets tiresome for the employees (and maybe uncomfortable for the customers) to be lifting little girls on to high bar stools all day. Also, while the decor was cute, you could already see that little girls with nail polish and white floors don't mix as there were several visible nail polish stains. Also, there were some cute seating areas that, upon closer inspection, were basically fabric stapled to plywood. It wasn't quite the magical experience I envisioned for my daughter, but the important thing is that she loved it. Next time, however, I will probably just take her to my local nail place down the street. read more

I booked a bubble gum pedicure / manicure, chocolate facial, hair and make up for my daughter's birthday. We were originally scheduled for the second Sunday in January but die to the snow we had to push it back to two weeks later. Overall the spa looks adorable maybe needs a little refresh in some areas. My daughter was welcome with slippers and bathrobe along with a flute of pink lemonade. Everything was going well until my daughter was getting her hair done and the lady dropped the pink lemonade on my daughter all over her clothing and hair. She continued like nothing happened without cleaning the floor. I was a little surprised but did not want to ruin my daughter's day so I did not say anything however she should have made an adjustment on the total we paid as a gesture for the incident but she did not. FIrst let me just say that the location is definitely open, it just moved upstairs to suite 225. This place is phenomenal and really made my daughter feel like a princess. We had a fabulous time at the spa and mary kay makeovers. It was so fun having my make up done and than letting my daughter get pampered. It's very beautiful and clean environment. I will be having her fifth birthday party here in June. read more

Unfortunately, my two daughters did not have the stellar experience others seem to have had. They felt like outsiders from the start because they were not invited to wear the cutesy pink robes and slippers. They were happy with the manicure, until they were rushed away from the table so that the next girls could get started, but this meant that they couldn't use the nail dryers, and their nails were smudged. Then they were looking forward to stretching out on the relaxing/massage tables, only to be hurried away to get their pedicures. My older daughter enjoyed her pedicure, but my younger daughter said that the water was way too hot. The fix was to let the water drain out, and she got no relaxing foot soak at all. She did not enjoy the pedicure because of the attendant's "long, ragged nails." Their pedicures were not put under a dryer either, and were extremely smudged. At this point, the hour had passed, and I was ready to depart, only to realize that they hadn't gotten the makeup that was included in the Groupon that we had purchased. I pointed this out; this took up another half hour. Hours later, their nail polish was still very soft and goopy, which means that it was not applied properly in the first place. It was apparent to me when I arrived that the place was in chaos from being moved upstairs and maybe from being understaffed. But if they could not accommodate us in a professional manner, they should have warned us ahead of time, or asked us to reschedule. I tipped at 20% because I am sensitive to those who work for tips, and because I believe this was an administrative slight, and not necessarily the fault of the attendants working that day. They should have been trained better. Neither my daughters nor I believe that any of this money was well-spent. The Sassy Princess Spa will have to make a lot of improvements before I will go back, or before I will recommend this place to any of my friends. read more

We took our 5 year old daughter and 5 of her besties to the location in Woodbridge, VA for the Express Spa Party. All the Moms were so impressed with the facility, the equipment and ladies that provided manis and pedis for our girls (very patient as many of them got "rainbow" colors on their nails.) I didn't think it would take the full 1 1/2 hours but they did. They were so cute in their robes and slippers, the movies were perfect to keep their attention, the spa chairs, nail dryers made it feel like a real salon. The girls loved the "No Boys Allowed Sign". They giggled, felt special/grown-up and had a lot of fun. We brought snacks (cookies, cupcakes, chips, pretzels, candy) for them to enjoy with the lemonade fountain that was provided. There was also a great siting area for the Moms. We all went to a nearby Chipotle for dinner afterwards. It was overall a wonderful experience. We have awesome pictures from the day and most importantly, memories to last a lifetime. Highly recommend it. read more
