We ordered delivery from Sathi recently to try a new Indian spot on Meatless Monday and were so impressed with the value and the taste, it has actually become our new go-to Indian delivery spot. My favorite thing about Sathi is the variety of vegetarian entrees offered, which makes my 2021 resolution to eat less meat and have meatless days a lot easier. I love getting the Vegetable Tikka Masala and the Vegetable Korma, both of which are available through the prix-fix menu, along with vegetable pakora and samosas ad maybe a Chana Saag to get even more greens in. Sometimes my partner gets a hankering for meat and those entrees have also always been good. (Beware the vindaloo; it is SPICY~) Sathi has become our most ordered-from restaurant during this time and I'm always REALLY excited for a meatless day with Sathi's meals, especially when we treat ourselves to some dessert (that kheer... yum...) A random note that I fell victim to is if you order a cold dessert like kheer, it will not be inside the bag with the rest of the hot foods but will be outside of the paper bag to keep the temperatures separate. Once I forgot about dessert because it wasn't in the main bag and was heartbroken to find I had left it out in the outside bag, but in retrospect it is a smart way to keep the foods separate. This place is AMAZING! They have a prix fix menu for only $19.95 which is such a good deal so we all went for that. I chose the Vegetable Samosas, Lamb Tikka Masala and Naan Bread. They gave me huge chicken pieces which was great and a bang for your buck. I love Sathi and I have been coming back here whenever I crave for Indian cuisine. I also gave them 5 star on my very first review. But yesterday's Kheer was a big let down. Upon removing the cover the sour smell just lingers. Fortunately , I ordered 2 and the other one was edible. But this shouldn't happen again especially when it wasn't too busy yesterday when I picked up my order. I came here with a group of friends for dinner, and we opted for the prix-fixe option, which included an appetizer, entree, and side for less than $20. I think this place used to be Ponty Bistro which I also loved a lot! Came to try their lunch as it's not too from my office. Left with satisfaction. Lunch set was around $9, such good deal! If you pick Chicken Tikka Masala or Saag Paneer, you get to choose two other dishes in smaller portions. Like a sampler concept. My favorite was their Chicken Tikka Masala, has little sweetness in it, chicken was a little dry but I feel like it's always like that. Second favorite was Vegetable Korma, never would know how to describe Indian food but it was a memorable flavor. We also had the Cauliflower something also was good. Saag Paneer was my least favorite but again, I think I never love this dish. For lunch if you get to have a Samosa with just adding $1, crazy right! We went on a Saturday evening. The restaurant is small and was very busy. The staff is very friendly and attentive. I was offered an appetizer for free even though I didn't order one. The food portions are very large and there was enough left over for another meal. They offer a fix price dinner that is several dollars less than ordering from the regular menu. It's really reasonably priced for the amount of food you get too! I paid $17 for an entree (that comes with rice) and a large pieces of naan. For sure can be two-three meals for me. I ordered the malai kofta. It was really tasty! The gravy was really creamy and delicious. I got the cilantro naan. As I said before, it is a very large piece! I only used a third of it and saved the rest. And the entree came with rice which is a surprise because recently, my Indian food orders have only included the entree without rice. Though the area fondly known as "Curry Hill" is just a few blocks north of this restaurant, Sathi stands out as one of the best Indian restaurants in the area, Curry Hill spots included. The food is absolutely delicious, well portioned, high quality, and the pre-fixe options can't be beat. Lunch or dinner pre-fixe, which will set you back $9.99 or $17.99 respectively, includes an appetizer, entree, side of rice or naan, plus dessert. They've been throwing in extra dessert or naan while I've been ordering through the pandemic which has been extra incentive for me to come here often. Hospitality works! They have one of the nicer outdoor dining set ups I've seen for such a casual restaurant, with plants and bright blue patio umbrellas to shield diners from the sun or rain. Everyone working at the restaurant is extra helpful with recommendations and has been diligent about making sure my dietary restrictions were accommodated. The folks at Sathi are unfailingly nice to all their customers. You should not leave Sathi without ordering their pakoras, which they make with deep fried onions. I've had vegetable pakoras elsewhere, but none of them hold a candle to the ones Sathi has made with onion. They're crispy, fragrant, filled with spice and plentiful. There's always enough for me to eat as part of a second meal and everyone knows Indian food makes for excellent leftovers. With so many options in the city, I'm not one to repeat restaurants too often, but once I had Sathi, there was no going back to other spots for Indian food for me. read more

The staff was very nice and helpful but our waitress was a little quiet. This place is also pretty affordable. We ended up only spending $122 with tax and tip included for 9 people.
