Amazing Restaurant! Food has the most amazing flavors. We were in a hurry just passing by and picked up some sushi, salad and fried rice for the road. The flavors just tasted like homemade food. I can tell the quality of ingredients used to prepare even the salad I had. Service was excellent! I think the owner was one of the sweetest ladies every, recommended some milk tea I asked for recommendations and she said strawberry it was perfect! **UPDATE: Accidentally got my sushi places mixed up, this is the correct review for this location! Dined here on a Friday afternoon and it wasn't busy at all. This place, though a business on a corner, is a bit hidden. It is located in a small plaza, and the atmosphere is very laid back. I love that they offer Poke at this location, I definitely plan on trying it next time. I ordered the spicy edamame which was out of this world good! I don't even like spicy but I highly recommend getting it even if you don't usually pick spicy things on the menu, it is worth it. I also ordered the rainbow roll which was pretty tasty, nothing too extraordinary, but good nonetheless. I also order spicy mayo with these typically "plain rolls (just fish and rice)" and that added something to it, don't forget the wasabi and soy sauce! My boyfriend got the pork teriyaki which was okay, again nothing special. Our servers were really kind and soft spoken. They refilled our water and sodas right when we were almost out. This restaurant is very accommodating for vegans. Their vegetarian menu is actually vegan and they have some off the menu specials as well. We love eating here, because they have a vegan tofu udon which is really tasty and something I hadn't found before. i'm not the type of person to leave a negative review but i'm so frustrated and disappointed by my ubereats order here. i ordered spicy edamame which is $2 more than salted edamame but the restaurant wrote down that i wanted salted edamame so that's what i got. i also ordered a sushi roll with modifications because i don't eat crab and they didn't read any of the modification instructions. so when i got my order i couldn't even eat my roll because it was filled with crab. i thought maybe i didn't order correctly but i double checked my ubereats receipt and the restaurant just completely messed it up on their end of fulfilling my order. they just didn't read anything on my order and wrote down the wrong thing for my edamame and didn't even write anything for my roll when i had special instructions. i spent almost $40 on ubereats to get two items i didn't even order and didn't even get to eat my roll. super disappointed - i don't suggest ordering from this place on ubereats. read more

My wife and l have wanted to try Satomi for some time and it was a great choice! My wife had the #42 and Poke bowl with sushi rice, shrimp, avocado, wasabi and crab. The fish was very fresh and if you haven't tried a poke bowl, I highly recommend it. The service was fast, friendly and very attentive. We definitely recommend this place for fresh tasty food. My wife and I decided to try Satomi today for lunch. Our order consisted of beef teriyaki plate, pork katsu, mt. Fuji roll, California roll, house salad and miso soup. Beef teriyaki was really good. Large portions and good quality meat. Pork katsu was good portion for price and cooked good. They give you enough sauce to completely cover the meat and rice. Tempura veggies were alright. Mt. Fuji roll was the best thing we ordered. It will be what we get when we go there for sure. California roll was good and pretty big. My wife really liked the house salad. Simple salad with a great dressing. Miso soup was alright. Overall I would definitely go back. Definitely would recommend to go here. It's a good casual place. On the cheaper side. Love the tempura roll, tempura asparagus & calamari all very fresh. some of the best I have tried. Very descent California rolls and Salmon teriyaki bowl. (ask for teriyaki sauce on side- trust me) The contents of the teriyaki chicken were of very good quality. so I was disappointed with their sauce it is super thick, not like a molasses good way more like a overly starchy way and very mild flavor no hint of ginger, garlic, sesame or anything i can discern. I am a fan of traditional teriyaki sauce- bold sweet ginger-like flavor. More like 3.5 stars. I came here with my coworkers, and we have since been twice. We were looking for a lunchtime Poke place in Tracy, which is no easy feat. After a quick Yelp search, it seems that Satomi is the only place in Tracy serving Poke (win!). Satomi is not like the Chipotle-style Poke places that have been popping up recently; you fill out a small form, and they prepare it for you. Because I'm used to Poke places in East Bay and San Francisco, I don't find Satomi to be on par in terms of value. Personally, I found the portion size to be a lot smaller than I'm used to - it's an average lunchsize portion you can finish in one meal; I'm used to bringing half a bowl home. The regular order comes with 1 protein; I've been willing to pay $2 extra for an extra protein, which makes the total cost around $12. I'd recommend increasing the price to cover cost of a default 2 proteins, increasing the bowl size, and adding more variety of sauces (currently, there are only three, and they are all some combination of creamy and spicy). That being said, the customer service at Satomi is like no other - the woman behind the counter is incredibly kind, and it's easy to become a regular here. My co-workers that are less picky about Poke love this place, so I definitely anticipate coming back soon. read more
